Academy Di Capelli is owned by Bradford Kelley, Michelle Kelley, and Christine Papale. Michelle and Christine collectively have been in the industry for over 55 years. Their main goal was that they had wanted to produce more educated and talented cosmetologists. In 2003, they opened Academy Di Capelli and have been working towards developing the best possible education.

I got a BAD cut at Cost Cutters.
I went back twice in attempt to get it fixed, etc (just read my review)
After having a tire fixed at Town Fair, I passed Academy DiCapelli.
The instructor, Trisha, helped student, Sabrina figure out what to do to best make my botched Bob look less awful.
Ultimately, Trish, the instructor, did my cut and explained every snip to the student and to me. Sabrina, the student, did my wash and blow dry. She also kept my anxiety at a manageable level.
My hair is now cut into a technically– correct style; it will look fine in a month or so.
The school environment is a nice space with lots of beautiful young people and lots of noise and activity; I found this atmosphere pleasant, but not all would agree.
Trish and Sabrina did the best they could attempting to fix someone else’s disaster. I think they did a fine job.
My style is too short for my liking, but that’s not their fault; that’s Cost Cutter’s unprofessional and dishonest business practices.
My hair is, however, even, balanced, and technically correct. It looks a whole lot better than it did when I walked in.
The school takes payment via all major credit and debit cards, but the tip cannot be added in to the total. I didn’t have cash, so I couldnt leave a tip.
My plan is to drop by on Tues (closed Mondays) and do so.
All-​in– all, I got a good cut and a positive experience.
Right now, I’ve avowed to NEVER have my hair cut again, but I’ve made that vow before. That said, I’ll probably return to DiCapelli.

Some students have far more talent than others, and because for some reason you can’t make appointments here you don’t know who you’re going to get. If you find one you like you can request them but you can’t schedule? Strange practice. Wouldn’t holding students to an appointment time teach them time management? Speaking of time, they’re learning — expect it to take longer — but if your time is money, go somewhere else pay triple and be done sooner.
Some students are professional and you can genuinely tell are taking this seriously, while others are too busy trash talking their previous client for not tipping well enough to their neighbor while applying your dye.
The staff for the most part is attentive and are helpful, and positive with training the students although there is one who walks around barking at students and clients children. She clearly has some sort of complex and loves flexes her authority here.
All in all — these kids got talent, hair comes out just as well as a salon, ridiculously well priced but takes a little bit longer.

Ok well previously I had written a not too bad review! This place and the staff are very nice and friendly. Since I only went for a color that’s the only thing I can really review. And I would like to say if you want your hair colored STAY AWAY FROM HERE. Aww, honestly I feel terrible saying that because all the girls are so friendly, but I don’t want anyone walking out feeling the way I did. Find a professional salon, honestly!

I had a great experience at Academy Di Capelli. Leah, was professional and knowledgeable. The prices are fantastic! The instructors are visible and check the students progress often.
The stylists are still learning, it is a school, so plan extra time.
