Vince was completely open and honest with me, fixed a small problem (for free!) that I was not aware of, and suggested not doing additional work that could have been tacked on. I’ll definitely be returning for service in the future.

Vince is such a life saver. Quoted me a reasonable price then when I came to pic up the Mini Cooper S, he cut some more off the price. Dude is fast and affordable. My new go to mechanic.

I own a 2003 BMW M3 and needed an oil change recently. When I had a garage I would always change it myself but due to a lack of time and space I decided to have it done at a shop. I’ve been to a number of different shops and they all want $ 150+ for the service. The oil itself is only about $ 50 – 60 at cost and takes about 10 – 15 min to do. Shops in Berkeley are probably the worst, wanting $ 180 + tax for an oil change. GTFO! Vince did it for substantially less and didn’t cut any corners. They inspected all major mechanical components and even scanned the car (most places will charge you $ 100 alone just to do a scan). Lloyd was my mech and he was awesome. Would definitely come back!

B and N is a great, straightforward, ethical company. Vince the owner was super cool and completed my Audi’s repairs a bit ahead of schedule and now it runs like a dream. Definitely coming back here from now on!

I have been sending my ailing Mercedes S500 to Vince and his stalwart companion for over 6 years now and I had a panic attack when first found out that the shop had moved. After finding the address however, I feel lucky because I recently moved to Dublin so the drive to their new location in Walnut Creek wasn’t too bad.
Vince is well known in the Hayward/​Castro Valley/​San Leandro area for his expertise with MBZ’ s — his old location was there years. I am a strong DIY mechanic so I only bring my car in when I absolutely have too — like when a Star diagnosis or computer reset needs to be done. Vince has consistently, on every repair saved me at least 50% of what the dealer would charge, granted I am around some unscrupulous dealers and my repairs are not simple ones.
I just had my airmatic shock+lower control+tie rod replaced a few weeks ago at the new shop and i won’t even quote what the dealer and an Indy shop in Dublin was going to charge me. Navigating to the new shop is easy from the 680 and like the old one, its meticulously clean, organized and busy — so call ahead for an appointment as I predict Vince is going to be meeting a lot more MBZ owners in Walnut Creek.
