Beyond Chiropractic

I recently went for a Chiropractic treatment at Beyond Chiropractic and the name Beyond suits this place.
From the outset this is nothing more than a money grab. I provided them with my insurance information prior to my visit only to be told after my treatment that they were out of my network and I had to pay $ 175.00.
I came in with a sore back which was not treated. I asked if they used the drop bed, flex method which they said they did although I never received such treatment. Instead I was given a 15 minute exam which consisted of a compass being placed on my head and another to measure the angle.
I was diagnosed with subluxations and treated with the use of an activator on my neck and shoulders. This translatedto mean many more visits and many more dollars.
In addition it was recommended that I get an X-​ray which costs $ 150.00 payable to Beyond Chiropractic in advance. Needless to say I was not satisfied with the service and would not recommend them or go back.

I was receiving continual adjustments prior to my experience at Beyond Chiropractic.
I was truly impressed following my initial consultation. My doctor displayed a true passion for her craft. It was my first experience with a D.C. who took the time to investigate the source of my pain and provide a treatment plan, rather than mitigating my pain with a quick adjustment and a shove out the door.
My pain has been alleviated tremendously, alongside with increased mobility.
My hats off to the entire staff! They are down to earth and gracious. Thank You!!!

I was a little disappointed with the massage I received here. I purchased the Groupon for a 60-​minute full body massage. My massage started nearly 10 minutes late and ended 10 minutes early. Also, it was not full body, it was only upper body. I wanted it to work out because the location is convenient for me but I won’t be back.
The massage itself was decent and I felt good afterward, I was just disappointed because I’ve never paid for a full body massage and not received one.
I can’t speak to the Chiropractors here and I already have one that I am seeing, but I did notice that they are all young so I am not sure how experienced they are. They did tell me that they do a fairly comprehensive assessment before treating which is a good sign.

Great people! Dr. George and Dr. Peter know their stuff and are awesome! Great service! Very friendly staff… Great work on my body’s ailments. Good work guys! We highly recommend these chiropractors and acupuncture services.

I have had a great experience at Beyond Chiropractic. Dr. Noori (her full name is longer, they call her Dr. Noori for short) has really helped me a lot! I came here with off and on severe headaches and moderate back pain (occasionally moderate to severe). I have been seeing Dr. Noori for over a month so far and my pain, soreness and headaches have been greatly reduced! I recommend this doctor if you are looking for a good chiropractor. Also, the staff here is very nice and the doctors have flexible schedules. Personally, I like to combine the adjustments with the tens unit treatments (a muscle stimulation machine). Great place to come for holistic care.

I can unequivocally give Dr. Mory and the staff at Beyond Chiropractic a top rating. I have had back problems for many years and been to the entire range of medical doctors, physical therapists and chiropractors, but Beyond Chiropractic is by far the best of them all.
A year or so ago my back became extremely painful, and worse still I was experiencing excruciating sciatica. It was so bad that I couldn’t sleep and had to move to another room because my screaming and moaning was keeping my wife awake also. By following the treatment plan outlined by Dr. Mory, not only did the extreme pain go away, but my back felt better than it has in 30 years.
Dr. Mory is extremely knowledgeable and patiently and understandably explains what is causing the problem and how she can help to solve it. Her disposition (as well as the other staff) is always bright and sunny. She is optimistic and self-​confident without even a trace of arrogance or condescension.
If you are in pain, you would be doing yourself a great favor by going to see Dr. Mory. Take your skepticism and your pain with you. .. both will be cured.

Love this place!
I have been living with really harsh and painful headaches for as long as I can remember. Diagnose after diagnose, there hasn’t been a doctor able to figure out the root of my issues. Not a believer of medicine; I was asked to simply try chiropractic care.
Being skeptical at first, I had nothing to lose.
Let me start by saying the doctors in this office know their stuff!
Right away, they explained exactly what are causing my headaches; I have been getting adjustments every other day, and boom my headaches have gone away !!!
I want to give special shout outs to Dr Mory, Dr Baloyra, and Dr Maryam. They are all excellent, EXCELLENT doctors!!! Even if you think you might not need chiropractic care, give them a chance and let them prove you wrong, it WILL change your life :)

I learned about this place from volunteering at a health fair. I checked out their table during downtime and was asked if I wanted a free massage. I went ahead with it and during my massage, I heard Dr. Peter Rehl sounding rude and irritated towards a potential client because her English was not very good and she was confused about the process of going online to fill out the new patient form (which by the way was pointless because I still had to fill out the paper form in person).
So that was already off putting. After my massage Dr. Rehl found some spots that needed work. According to his findings, even though I don’t have major issues now, I’ll be susceptible to numbness bleh bleh down the road. It was a hard sell for me to set up a $ 20 consultation with him, and I honestly didn’t want to as his personality seemed like he was holding back/​hiding something, not personable at all. I set up an appointment anyway as I never saw a chiropractor before and was curious on how the electric scan worked (It ended up being some electrode thing connected to a computer, I was envisioning a big TSA style 360 scanner since I had my skull scanned before with something similar.)
I was put off by having to give $ 20 cash or my credit card information. I asked him about it and he was again rude. I told him I’d have to come back for my credit card, and he told me as I was walking away, «Be sure to come back». Dude. I came back and figured they’d charge people if they don’t cancel within 24 hours or no show but nope, they took my money out 2 days later and my appointment was over a week ahead. Even my pharmacist preceptor, who got a massage from him and politely declined setting up an appointment, thought he had «poor bedside manners».
Fast forward to my appointment and I was first put in a room to view some 5 minute video pretty much explaining that chiropractors do undergraduate studies, then grad school for their doctorate, they study anatomy, … a useful clip for high-​schoolers interested in being a chiropractor I guess. Then Dr. Rehl came in, no attempts at small conversation to connect with the patient, cold. Just straight to business with the manual exam plus the scan. Repeated that I’m prone to develop XYZ down the line according to what he found, and that I have «two choices» in which I «have to make a decision before I leave» (oh the pressure!): go for quick temporary fix of several sessions or do long term care with him. He was alluding to the notion that if I chose the «quick fix» route, I didn’t care about my health. I had told him I was a student volunteer at the event, he knew my insurance didn’t cover anything, and yet he was trying to sell me some $ 600 package prior to even having a first adjustment. Sure mate! Let me just pull out $ 600 from my bum for ya!
I gave myself a third option of going somewhere else and also declined his offer of an adjustment, which would have been an additional $ 79 (I had to ask him about the cost). I went to find another chiropractor and I am much happier!
One star because I took a free granola bar from their bowl of complimentary granola bars in the front desk :))

I was given a Groupon for a massage as a birthday gift… this place insisted on taking my credit card information to schedule an appointment even though I could provide them with the Groupon number. This made me very uncomfortable. When I arrived I found out my appointment was with a man, I’m female and don’t feel comfortable undressing and being massaged by a man. It would’ve been nice to have been told who my appointment was with upfront. Worst part– in response to being told I would prefer a female massage therapist the receptionist (teenage girl with heavy makeup) rolled her eyes and said «oh my god». The staff here makes me very uncomfortable, crappy customer service :(

I sleep much better and have a better attitude over all. My life has improved I have more energy everyday I feel so much better my husband has started treatment. Bad experience. Went in for a free consultation, just as advertised on their website. I don’t have insurance. At the end of the consult was charged $ 175 out of pocket! Ouch! The worst part is that the vertebra that is causing me problems did not get aligned. Lesson learned.

Wonderful office, staff, and service all around and if you go seeking any treatment outside of Dr. Morvarid’s caring hands it’s quite simply your loss.

I came here for a massage, so this review is not for the doctors. It was on a Monday and with a tall blonde (Russian? Polish?) lady. It was more like a painful beating than a massage. Painful. OMG I was so stressed and tense after it. She would unexpectedly jab her elbow into you and it was so painful and unexpected that your whole body tenses up because you don’t know when it’s gonna hit ya. I will never go back if she’s there

I came here for a period of close to a year and all along I had a wonderful experience. I wish I could continue but my insurance capped me (!!!)
I first came here after an injury and was received with great care and attention. I worked with Dr. George, who was very friendly, knowledgeable and attentive.
I also had weekly therapeutic massages with Susan and Simon and found them to be absolutely phenomenal. They bring an eastern feel to their approach and I definitely experienced significant shifts on my level of pain coupled with Dr. George’s adjustments.
This place is all around the place to go if you want wholesome intervention.

My review of Beyond Chiropractic is long overdue. This is for the chiropractic services and the massages.
I’ve been seeing Dr. Appleman for several months for chiropractic adjustments and have experienced a noticeable difference in my neck and back pain. He’s super nice and takes the time to understand your lifestyle and day-​to-​day activities to help pinpoint problem areas. I’ve struggled with back pain for a years and seeing him regularly has really helped; I hardly ever have any of the pain or tension I had when we started. The «roller tables», as I call them (although I’m sure there’s a more technical term), are also a nice feature I haven’t seen at any other chiropractors I’ve been to. All in all, I’ve had good experiences with the chiropractic services here.
Equally as good are the massages at Beyond Chiropractic. Initially I wasn’t sure what to expect; I’d never gotten a massage at a chiropractic clinic before. But Vanessa is just amazing. She listens to where my problem areas are and only works on those, which I appreciate since getting those knots out requires the full session. She’s capable of using very firm pressure (which I like) but she always asks to make sure it isn’t too much. The only problem with Vanessa is just getting an appointment; I had a massage with her last week and when I went to book my next one she didn’t have any slots until July! That’s just a testament to her awesome skills though, everyone wants a massage from Vanessa.
And of course I can’t forget the receptionist — I’m pretty sure her name is Shawna, but I’m blanking right now and I feel bad because she is the sweetest. She’s always been super helpful scheduling and rescheduling appointments, and she remembered me by name after only a few visits. She’s a superstar receptionist.
Overall, I definitely recommend Beyond Chiropractic to anyone in need of an adjustment or massage. They’ll do a great job and treat you well.

Amazing customer care. Phenomenal results. I love that everything is all in-​house. I’ve done massage, chiropractic work and acupuncture here. And I looove the rolling table. Super sweet staff. They know most people by name the moment they walk through the door.

Wonderful staff! Everyone is very nice and I felt welcome from the first time I walked into the office. I have a badly injured lower back and, little by little, Dr. Appleman is helping it heal. The entire staff works as a team to provide the best service I have ever had. Susan’s massages are fantastic for myofascial release. Overall, great care is provided. I recommend this practice to everyone.

As a person suffering from chronic headaches and back pain, for years I have been on several pain and nerve medications. In my attempt to get off those meds as their side-​effects are as bad as the pain they were treating, I sought out chiropractic treatment.
Dr. John Appleman and his staff are wonderful and dedicated to helping people learn more about chiropractic benefits and getting people on the road to recovery! I love all of them and the casual, carefree atmosphere that they always have. Definitely would recommend them for any and all problems you might have.
Dr. Appleman determined where my pain was coming from and developed a methodical plan to address it. After the first adjustment I felt an amazing difference and could turn my head for the first time without pain. Continued treatments have continued to help my condition to improve.
This location also has acupuncture and massage therapy available.

Had a groupon for a massage and I was booked for tobi. Then I opted for the extra $ 10 for a chiropractic exam/​evaluation so I added it and I’m glad I did!
But back to my massage, Tobi did a great job! It was the best massage I had for years. I came back again, after a month to have the same deep tissue massage and as usual, it was awesome!
Anyway, when I had the extra $ 10 exam for chiropractic I was actually surprised to found out that I have a mild dorsal scoliosis. I thought it’s just back pain from all the stress, work related, and bad posture but it was actually a scoliosis.
Dr Baloyra did a great job in my adjustment. I felt relief right after that first adjustment. Too bad that my insurance doesn’t cover chiropractic exam but I’m seeing a physical therapist now which I hope can help me with all this pain I’m having.

I’m still leaving 2 stars, but I like to be fair and informative, so I’m updating this to say that the receptionist promptly contacted me about my review, apologized for our experience, and offered to give me a complimentary massage with a different masseuse. Also, she said that they will be processing my refund for the additional massage I had purchased.
I declined the offer for the massage, but I appreciate that they reached out to me to try to make it better. That’s good customer service. Unfortunately, I just have no desire to go out of my way to give their services another chance. But, if they could do me a favor and just make sure that, going forward, they make every effort to ensure future clients have great experiences, then that will be enough for me.
