The Goal of Carpet Today

History

Established in 1989.

I had been in the carpet business since 1980.

I worked for my last employer for 5 years. It was a large franchise and in 1989 they hired a consultant to train us in a new sales technique.

This new technique was misinformation and lies. When I told them I would not use these closing techniques I got a call from the out of town owner who told me I had to use this new closing system.

I packed my belongings and left.

Five days later I opened my own store determined to operate my store with real discount prices, no high pressure, quality service and complete pricing including;(carpet, pad, installation, disposal with no tax added)

I wanted to help my customer make informed decisions so they could get the flooring best suited to their needs and enjoy my occupation.

Since 1989 I have personally helped thousands of customers.

Well I have had many jobs the ones that help me most in my business (1) Surveying (helps me make accurate measurements of your home) (2) Drafting (so I can make accurate to scale diagrams of your home to make the best placement of seams and reduce waste) (3) Manufacturers Rep. for flooring. (Gaining knowledge of the industry not available to the average floor salesmen.) (4) Furniture store Mgr.

I have 4 years of higher education including; oil painting helps with colors, drafting helps with diagrams, bookkeeping helps generally with business and completed a course from Dale Carnegie.

I enjoy differing hobbies over my life including, distance running, sailing, hiking and off road driving in my Jeep.
