Business Owner

Adrianne Gonzalez is the lead R.N. and co-​owner of Encore Medspa. She has owned Encore Medspa together with Dr. Allen Nan for five years, but she has worked at Encore for almost seven years.

Adrianne has specialized in medical aesthetics for the last nine years, almost as long as Botox has been FDA approved for cosmetic use in the US. She is a Nurse Trainer for Medecis Aesthetics and Allergan and has trained many doctors and nurses in Northern California in the latest techniques for non-​surgical facial sculpting. She is an expert in this field because this is ALL that she does. Doctors spend half of their time in the operating room, but Adrianne spends all of her time in the treatment room, injecting and lasering away all day long!

Adrianne loves to make men and women look and feel as great on the outside as they do on the inside!

I’ve been going to Encore Medspa for over 8 years and have referred dozens of people who agree that this is the premier Medspa. Adrienne has always done a beautiful job with my Botox and fillers as well as laser treatment for skin rejuvenation. I’ve seen many women that look like their face is frozen or their lips look very ducky which to me looks fake. I can place my face in Adrienne’s hands and know I’m safe and will be happy with the results.

Why spend money on waxing? Laser hair removal is an investment in PERMANENT hair removal. It costs more up front but well worth it in the long run. Cindy is wonderful. She has a great personality too! I have had a series of treatments and now don’t have to pluck or endure the small pinch scares associated with that.
Adrianne is wonderful for injections and Darlene gives great facials. Best staff around and I have tried many other places.

In a nutshell, went in for laser hair removal, that usually lasts for 1 hour to 1 hour 20 minutes with other spas, this one lasted 5 minutes from start to finish. This is after I declined her hard sell of $ 1174 worth of additional services. She (Adrianne) was not happy and proceeded to complete the procedure. The original person, Cindy was out sick. When I felt her put cream on my face (with NO gloves), I was shocked. Not acceptable health code standard. I honestly think she has her staff put these reviews on Unilocal,because I can not believe anyone would patronize this business. Even when the credit card goes thru, it comes up with a company called «Housesitters», a care facility. There is something that is hokey with this place. I would avoid it all costs… Beware.

I have been going to Encore Medspa for a while now. My favorite estetician is Cindy Grounds, although I super love Adrianne as well. Cindy is very gentle, she has a funny sense of humor, and I feel relaxed and comfortable when I’m in her care.

Anyone seeking fillers should seriously consider using Encore Med Spa’s services. I had my lips done by Cindy. Upon arrival I had been given my paperwork and sat in their very CLEAN and cute reception area. I finished and Cindy came to bring me into the room, she was on time and welcoming, two things that right away made me feel comfortable. We had a consultation in which I showed her a picture of the look I was trying to achieve and we talked about my options for choice of filler. We decided TOGETHER (very important) that restylane silk would be a good choice. So she went to work applying the numbing cream and talked to me through the whole process explaining very thoroughly the method in which she would inject the filler and why she was doing it that way. She was awesome. I have already referred encore med spa to so many of my friends and people who have asked about my procedure! Don’t be scared ladies (and gentlemen)!!!

I’ve been coming here for a couple years now and have been meaning to write a review. The staff here are welcoming and accommodating, they will not try to sell you on any service you don’t want, and the services are all about making you as comfortable and happy as possible. I’ve only seen Adrienne for filler and dysport, but she is WONDERFUL. She has a great eye for aesthetics, she’s quick and skilled, and she’s so calming and professional. I just wish I didn’t live so far away.

Came here for laser hair removal. No more shaving and oh so smooth!!! More expensive than a razor? Yes… But oh so worth it!
I am halfway through my course of treatments for legs/​bikini/​underarms and loving the results so far. Even better is that Cindy is nothing short of amazing. Not only is she super professional and does great work but her bedside manner is awesome! She gets you through those tough parts with humor all the while she is moving that laser along with the precision of a brain surgeon.
Today I am compelled to write this review: I came in to my appointment from a super stressful week and my body was feeling the effects (though I did not realize it at the time). Lasers it seems — like pranayama — can sometimes shoot past trauma up to the surface. If you know about this phenomena, then you understand how intense it can be. Yes, laser removal doesn’t necessarily feel like a spring breeze blowing across your skin, but it is normally totally tolerable. When the body is experiencing stress or hormonal fluctuations (aka: pms), the shock of the zaps over the arteries can be pretty intense. So in short, I instantaneously started tearing up once treatment started (sounds lame I know). Cindy was so gracious, did everything to calm my nerves and when she saw I was not able to take even the same joule level I took last time she insisted we stop and reschedule.
Totally did not make me feel bad about it at all. Above and beyond!

Adrianne took the time to look at my problematic area where I needed laser done, and told me her recommendations in a very professional and sincere manner, which I appreciated. I love it here! I’ve had the pleasure of getting laser hair removal by Cindy and she has been so great. I’ve been to 4 different laser places, and this one is the best by far (it’s a 45 min drive from me, but totally worth it!). I really feel like I can trust Cindy because not only is she extremely gentle and patient, but she also asks me questions about my medical history and keeps track of the medications I’m taking because they can sometimes affect skin sensitivity. They’re so professional, the place is so clean and and everyone is so kind. One time I mentioned I hadn’t eaten and they gave me grapes, nuts and a drink. Really feels like a spa! I will be getting more work done here for sure! Thanks guys!

Cindy is the best! I have been coming to her for laser treatments, and have felt like I have been cared for in the most wonderful way possible. Her expertise and precision was what I was looking for, and was not going to go to anyone other than a licensed professional.
Scheduling appointments is easy, and the front desk staff is very nice! I would recommend for any one to come here. I have not had any bad reactions to the laser, the facility is extremely clean, and the amount of sessions required is spot on.

I’ve been going to Encore Medspa for quite awhile and appreciate the state of the art of aesthetic enhancement tools and treatments for those of us young at heart but maturing in skin texture. The studio has a relaxed but professional atmosphere. I recently had a consultation for IPL at Encore Medspa and was very satisfied with the guidance I received. The consultant was upfront and told me I was not a candidate for the IPL treatment due to a preexisting medical condition. I imagine there are some businesses out there that would not care about the consequences of the treatment and only want my money, but not Encore. I was offered alternatives, in the form of topical treatments, and other products from the SkinCeuticals line. In the end I did not buy any product and I did not feel any pressure from the staff to do so.
The only negative note would be that some of the women (staff and clients) seem to have over done it with the work they have had which might scare off a virgin faced gal like me. But hey, it’s Walnut Creek!

As Amy B. has stated, Encore Medspa is the gold standard of medspas. I had laser hair removal done here, and LOVE the results. I worked primarily with Cindy, who is a Registered Nurse. She is knowledgeable, caring, and a pleasure to work with.
Encore Medspa easily gets 5 stars. I will be recommending this place to everyone!
