Dr. Sara is very open, straightforward, smart and kind. She is also very good at her job. If you’re considering someone for a hair transplant surgery, or a host of non-​surgical treatments, I highly recommend her. She is very knowledgeable and actively informs herself of new procedures and technology.
I’ve had and am planning to have another surgery with her to fill out my hair that has been a constant struggle for me. I doubt I could find another surgeon I trust and like as much. She’s very busy but always makes herself available to her patients, pre and post surgery, to allay any concerns or issues that can come up. While her services are expensive, they are definitely worth it in my opinion.
Her staff are very friendly and professional, and have always made me feel welcome. Her giant dog is adorable. All in all, I’d highly recommend her to anyone looking.

I waited an entire year to give this review, and it is solid five stars! It takes lots of courage to take this expensive and risky surgery. I planned five years and consulted many other different institutions, only Dr. Wasserbauer gave me enough confidence to move forward. Dr. W enthusiastically loves her job. During the surgery, I can definitely feel she and her entire crews are doing earnest and passionate work pursuing perfections. Dr. W has a very organized and efficient work place, and it feels like home. The most important thing is, one year after the surgery, my hair came back (exactly like advertised). Dr. Sara Wasserbauer is a highly-​qualified and talented hair transplant specialist, who listens to, and truly cares about her patients. From the moment that I met her during my initial office consult, I felt like I was in the best possible hands, and I continued to feel that way throughout my first, and now my second hair transplant procedure.
I was absolutely thrilled with the results of my first hair transplant procedure — I was so much happier with my self-​image, and I regained that confidence that comes with looking and feeling your best. The results were so natural that even my closest friends didn’t realize that I had a hair transplant procedure, and I certainly wasn’t going to tell them!
Today, I am writing about my second hair transplant experience, which I scheduled one year after the first. Although my hair looked great after the first procedure, and my wife was questioning the need for a second procedure, I wanted to fine-​tune my frontal hairline, add some thickness and fullness, and also fortify a small thinning area at the crown. Thanks to the skilled hands of Dr. Wasserbauer, I was able to achieve both objectives.
Once again, Dr. Wasserbauer and her wonderful staff who assisted with my hair transplant procedure — Roxanna, Naomi, Katy, and May — made the entire experience as painless, pleasant, and relaxing as a day at the spa. If anything, the second procedure was even easier than the first, and I was able to go dancing the day after the procedure!
Whenever you call her office, whether you speak with Ann or Monique, you will get the most courteous service possible, and Dr. Wasserbauer makes herself available and accessible to meet all of her patients’ needs before, during, and after their procedure.

I just came home from my hair restoration procedure with Sara Wasserbauer. Her office treated me so right. Her staff made sure I was comfortable throughout everything. If you are reading this you have the benefit of my experience. I consulted with Dr. Sara after 2 year of research. All I can say is wow, what a up front and professional output she provided. Dr. Sara is totally down to earth and a realistic. Her years in the art make you respect and honored to work with her. All I can say is you get more than you pay for. On The day of the procedure I was a little nervous but her staff quickly made me feel like I was the King of the day. Her staff that worked on me w/​the Doc did an awesome job. They all had decades of experience and you could literally ask them anything. The procedure lasted about 8 hours with a few breaks. Before surgery, we were looking at 2800 – 3000 graft to be harvested. But during the surgery, doc told me she get more than expected, 3407 grafts. I was thrilled. & there was no extra charges for those extra 400 grafts. While surgery, I watched a couple of full length movies and napping thru. At the end on the day they were all pleased with their work and sent me off with some meds. Anyways post op a week. All the grafts looks great. I check the pillow and shower regularly. No pain to speak off. I Totally recommend Dr. Sara to anyone who can appreciate a pro working on them. I’ll post in a few months with an update.

Dr Wasserbauer and her staff are very friendly and easy to deal with. I had a very good experience with an FUT hair transplant in the fall of 2013 and the entire process was as pleasant as I could ask for. The first few recovery days after the procedure were a bit tough, it took about a week before I felt comfortable going back to work, but the results eventually (starting at 4 – 5 months, full result about 12 – 13 months) made it all worth while. The final result was exactly what I was told to expect, maybe even a little better. I would easily do it all over and would recommend Dr. Wasserbaur and her staff to anyone.

I cannot recommend Dr. Wasserbauer enough. I’ve had two hair surgeries with her, the more recent one about 2 years ago. Her sense of humor, patience, and positive nature are rare. She is extremely down to earth and takes the time to explain things in depth.
Dr. Sara makes surgery surprisingly enjoyable. She’s very upbeat and treats you as if you are an old friend, doing everything she can to make you comfortable. Patients watch movies (or sleep) during the procedure and she orders great lunches. Her results are impressive and the scar is almost invisible. My confidence in her work and appreciation for her bedside manner cannot be emphasized enough. I cannot imagine a more positive experience. Her care in terms of post-​surgery follow up is unparalleled. She even gives you her personal cell number.
Since the surgeries, Dr. W has been a constant source of support. She always answers emails promptly, even taking the time to call me from home to follow up. Her analysis of results and realistic advice is refreshing. Over the years, she has eased my anxiety about numerous issues related to my hair loss and allowed me to get several hair checks free of charge. Even when I’ve been eager to get further treatment, she’s encouraged me to be patient and try less expensive options first. Her strength as a hair specialist is bolstered by her ability to exhibit empathy and relate to her patients, particularly women.
If you are considering a hair transplant, look no further. You will not find a more thorough, skilled and personable surgeon.

I have come here for several different treatments and would highly recommend it. I usually ask for Geraldine she’s wonderful and does a fantastic job and is a true professional. I can’t wait to go back.

I had hair transplants and touch-​up and it turned out great– very realistic. She’s got a great eye and takes the time to explain why certain choices will turn out more realistic than others.

I have been going to this office for a couple years now. Dr. Wasserbauer and her staff are very professional. The office is immaculate and I never have to wait more than five minutes for my appointment. I had questions before my first treatment and Dr. Wasserbauer promptly returned my emails, even after my first treatment. You will not find a more professional, ethical and friendly office for your treatments. Dr. Wasserbauer is the best in the Bay Area.

Absolutely whole-​heartedly recommend Dr Wasserbauer and her oh-​so-​friendly staff for laser hair removal. I had the 5 treatment package and am pretty darned satisfied. There are a few stray hairs, so i’m getting a touch-​up (which is half-​price).
I had wanted to go to an MD office and did not want to pay a fortune. This was perfect. Parking is easy too, and whole foods around the corner.
What to expect: You often do not get Dr W to do your treatments (but you do sit down for a consult with her first) but she did do one of mine, the rest was her friendly staff (mostly Sandra). And I didn’t notice any different in technique. Icing the area down first until it itsnumb enough to get started. Wearing funky sunglasses to block out lasering your eyes. And then the zapping begins.
Does it hurt: sure. It’s little zaps frying away unwanted hair. (if you haven’t shaved the hairs down enough, you might smell them burning a little– relax, it’s just the hairs).
You can pause any time, re-​ice, have them dial it down or up, depending on your tolerance.
I did not pre-​treat w/​anything other than a little ibuprofen when I remembered. Some people will get lidocaine cream Rx’d. Wusses.
After treatments, you’re somewhat inflammed (the hair follicles are enlarged), but after about a week, the redness goes away. Hairs start to regrow in a few more weeks. you need to get about 5 cycles or more since only about 20% or so are growing at any time, and the laser only gets active follicles. I went about every 8 wks to get maximal follicles regrowing…
Anyways, kept pleased overall.

I have been a patient of Dr, Wasserbauer for a couple of years and have had a number of laser treatments as well as Botox and fillers. Her staff is fantastic !! I have never felt rushed and yet I have never had to wait and always I am greeted with warmth and kindness. I have never been allowed to leave without the proper education about my procedure or product as well as helpful hints for recovery and effective results.
As for Dr. Wasserbauer, she is the best. She offers advice without pressure, has a gentle touch and handles it all with a great sense of humor!
Her location offers plenty of parking and her office is clean, bright and calming.

Dr. Sara Wasserbauer fails miserably at follow up or urgent calls or emails. Even when a Patient reports pain to her Staff members twice in one day.
When you meet the Doctor in her office and she explains many things to you, she then tells you to call or email her any questions that you might have and she will get back to you, no problem. When you email her, she waits almost (a week) even after I called her office twice to find out when she was going to respond and then she calls back and says that she couldn’t find the email even though it was on her personal email address which her Staff member states that «she checks the status of her email many times throughout the day.» She had my phone number, so why did it take almost a week to return to me? I let it go that time but now it has happened again. She told me to apply a certain product, I had a great deal of burning and pain. I called and spoke to her Staff Member in the morning. By late afternoon, the Dr. never returned my call. I was in pain and called again in the afternoon and I said that I really needed the Dr. to call or email me and let me know how I could minimize the pain, swelling and burning. Once again, Dr. Wasserbauer never returned the call or sent an email. This is now the close of day two after the initial call. It is obvious that time management and Patient’s in pain are not a priority for her. She will most likely get around to me in another 5 days or so. I do not recommend this Doctor to anyone. I had to call another Dr. to tell me what to do about relieving some of the pain and burning. Think twice before starting any procedure with Dr. Wasserbauer.

I had Dr Wasserbauer remove some sun damaged tissue from my forehead and scalp. Because I have had some really bad experiences in the past (huge Frankenstein scars on my back from 10 years ago) and these lesions were in an esthetically sensitive area, I was, needless to say, extremely apprehensive. The treatment, however, went exactly as planned and the recovery was exactly as described (actually not as bad as described). Dr. Wasserbaur and her staff were extremely professional, polite, and helpfull. I found everyone involved, both Dr. and staff, to be available as needed via both email and cell phone with questions both before and after treatment. Being a private health care professional myself, I can appreciate the effort it takes to run a patient-​care based office. Usually I’m on the other side of the needle :). I must say that it was a pleasure to experience a well-​managed office from a patient’s perspective for a change.

I was very nervous about laser hair removal but Dr. Wasserbauer is so so so nice!
Her office is very nice and clean and the staff who work the front desk are really friendly and happy to answer any questions.
I got a bikini laser treatment and under arms (5 treatments included, with life time touch ups at half the price per treatment for $ 1300) and it took about 20 minutes for the whole procedure.
Dr. Wasserbauer made me feel really comfortable and she used and ice treatment for the procedure. The procedure felt like little pinches but no major pain.
I highly reccomend Dr Wasserbauer!
