J.Crew Broadway Plaza

Not sure why I keep coming here, I love JCrew clothing but the customer service here is horrible. Not once has someone offered help or even said hello.
I went yesterday to make an exchange. I don’t care too much about reps asking me if they can help me but both staff members saw me walk in and walked the other way. I asked the lady at the register who the store manager was and she pointed to the same two employees. One of the employees heard her, and made a point to tell me she in not a manager… she is an assistant manager. Either way, the service you give, sucks!
I promise I will not come back to this location!

I was so disappointed with this store. I had an infant with me and couldn’t get anyone to help me. Really bad customer service. I won’t come back to this location.

Unfortunately, this location does not carry men’s apparel. I’m surprised by the mention of poor customer service since I’ve always found them helpful. Nevertheless, I prefer the Stoneridge location.

The clothes are great but the people are so judgemental. Don’t come in if you need help.

I love J crew but the customer service is terrible. I went there on Monday late afternoon and there were 2 sales person working and the one (older) was rude.
I had a question about the shirt but she would completely ignore me.
I left the store and went to Pleasanton location next day and bought the shirt.
I will not shop this location again.

I like the clothes selection although sizes are often out of stock. It’s the customer service by every single sales associate in the Walnut Creek store that I find appalling. They barely acknowledge your presence and when they do they act as if they can’t be bothered. They must not realize that consumers have many other shopping options around. J Crew corporate should put all their sales associate through more rigorous training!

I bought a J Crew merino sweater on line, which a started to rip within a month. I took it to the Walnut Creek store and I was told that J Crew would repair it and send it to my home for free. That was three weeks ago and I have not heard anything. I will call today when the store opens but this is disappointing given that I have bought a lot of stuff from J Crew.

I love j crew but this location not so much. We continue to shop there because it’s pretty close to home but their customer service leaves something to be desired.
I came in to return a few items that I purchased from their website — regrettably, these items weren’t flattering when I put them on. I shared this with the salesperson and she didn’t acknowledge me but a minute later she asks me why I was returning them. I just felt like I was inconveniencing her, it was awkward. There was another occasion that they were rude to my aunt for needing to return something. I brushed it off, thinking that person may have been having a bad day but after experiencing it myself I’ve come to the conclusion that customer service is not a priority here. But the clothes are nice and the sales are pretty good so I may keep coming back but it’s not a shopping experience I look forward to. I went to Kate Spade after, a few doors down, and the difference was night and day.

First J-​Crew visit. I recently got a new credit card for this store online so I could start my cashmere sweater collection. Based on the reviews I wasn’t sure what I would be in for customer service wise in store.
Store:
Small, neat and clean but packed with merchandise and customers. I really wasn’t expecting that many people for 10am on a Tuesday. Prob cause of the holidays.
Service:
Even with a full store I was promptly greeted and was left to browse. When I had a question I approached one of the sales women and asked for assistance (I wanted to make sure their xl in cashmere fit my full figure) she immediately stop working on her project to assist me (already knowing I intended to make my purchases online).
Adult Selection:
Not my normal wear. Being plus size and African American I prefer torrid and the like. The only time I saw a jcrew tags growing up was when I was wondering were my grandma got my ugly sweaters from.
Kids Selection:
Perfect clothes for picture day and the little toddlers walking around downtown walnut creek. However if you would of dressed me up in these clothes as a kid I would have taken one look in the mirror and beat myself up. Seriously I’d buy clothes for my godsons but I’d fear for their safety. Kids are cruel. The girls may be safe.
Overall I will be patronizing jcrew both online and in store.

I was lured into this store by the 40% off sale sign in their window. All was going well: I had found a few items I wanted to purchase that were deeply discounted. Once I got to the cash register — that is, 10 minutes after the staff decided I was worth their attention, the experience went downhill. I was given very brusque service and when I asked the sales person a question I was interrupted. I walked out regretting I had purchased anything and doubting whether I would ever purchase from any J Crew store in the future. I certainly won’t ever be back at this one.

This JCrew only carries women’s clothing.

I am a fan of Jcrew and shop there often. This location however, always makes me feel uncomfortable.
I go here only cause its convenient.
I shop at Jcrew but often times I’m in jeans and a T shirt so I may not look like I will spend money here… I feel like the staff here judges you on this. I see them buzzing around helping other more mature looking clients while I don’t even get a ‘Hi”, «welcome». I do prefer being left alone when I’m shopping, but I want to be at least acknowledged. Several times I had to get my own fitting room by waiting by the door to see when another person leaves! And most of the times I’m swatting on the ground like a bum digging for my own sizes. –_​_​_​_​_​– while the workers walk pass me.
Customer service should be better here… esp if you are charging/​and I’m willing to pay $ 100/​shirt.

I ordered my bridesmaid dress online and it came very wrinkled. I brought it in to J Crew to see if they can steam out the wrinkles and the girl behind the counter said they can try with their in store steamer and it will be done in 10 minutes. I wandered around the store for 20 mins and the checked in with another girl on the floor and it turns out that no one has steamed the dress and the original girl that I handed the dress to went to lunch right after she took my dress. I thought that was a bit rude and I was irritated since I was on a schedule and had another engagement in 30 minutes.
The girl on the floor apologized and had someone steamed the dress and the wrinkles didn’t come out very well since it’s silk taffetta. They told me that I can take it to a professional dry cleaners and they will comp me the fee. Now, that is good service!

I literally hate shopping at this place even though I love J crew clothing.
I come here pretty often because it is at a convenient location and the people here are always so unwelcoming to me. One time I went and the sales person recognized me and said.“You’re here again??”… I couldnt believe it. Anyways, I think it’s mostly because I look younger so they think I’m not actually planning to buy anything when I usually do end up buying something.
They don’t have a men’s section either. Other reviewers are right. I never really noticed it because I usually only shop for woman’s clothing, but that’s not really fair for the men who want to shop at J crew as well.
Overall, horrible customer service and limited selection. I don’t really go here anymore for my clothes. I’d rather shop somewhere else.

I’ve gone in this store numerous times on my lunch and breaks with the intension to purchase but every time I come in I barely get a hi. They are too busy folding and straightening the store to even look up.
Customer service should be your priority not making sure a sweater is folded. I given you guys too many chances to prove it was a one off experience of poor customer service.
Step into the other shops at Walnut Creek to learn how to take better care of your customers.

Tyleese (I know I’m butchering her name!) is an absolute doll. I come in a lot, spend a lot at J. Crew and she’s always so sweet. It’s nice when someone says «Christina! How’s it going?» When you walk in. The staff is all very sweet and if you can’t find the right size, they’re happy to order it for you or help you with the catalog.
J.Crew uses luxe materials, has beautifully cut coats, adorable ballet flats and beautiful jewelry. The quality is perfection.
Definitely stop in. You will be greeted by a friendly team who is always willing to help you find a perfect outfit.

This used to be my favorite retailer for fashion forward men’s clothing UNTIL they decided that men were not good enough to have at least half of the store.
Let me preface the rest of my review by saying that I generally don’t have a problem with women. Many of my good friends are women and gasp, I was born via a woman! I do have a problem when a retailer that did very well selling men’s clothing decides that men are shit and sets aside a very small section in the back of the store.
I walked in there expecting a half and half format like most retailers but then kept walking and walking and walking. Finally I pulled aside one of the staff and was like «Where are the men’s clothes?». She quickly answered «In the very back, it’s a small section so you might not be able to find what you need». I appreciate honesty but c’mon!
So I walk to the back, see the jail cell corner of men’s clothing then turn right back around. When asked if I found anything I said no and promptly added that I was very disappointed in their merchandising model. So I guess if I really want to sport the J Crew look, I’ll have to buy online because the stores won’t have it.
Sad.

…I had an hour to kill before Happy Hour with some friends, so I decided to checkout some new threads, especially some jeans and shirts from one of my favorite overpriced, sweatshop clothing companies:
Cute Redhead Clerk (CRC): «Hi.um…can I help you?»
CHUN: «Yeah…maybe! I’ve tried on some jeans, but they’re really tight around the calfs and wide on the hips…»
CRC: «Oh uh um…»
CHUN: «Do you have any more dress shirts? The shouldars and sleeve are tight, and loose in the chest.»
CRC: «We do have more selections but…»
CHUN: «Oh, and I couldn’t seem to find where the boxers are…»
CRC: «Uh Sir… we uh… we only carry Women’s clothing at this location…»
CHUN (SOAB! /​FML!): «Well what if I prefer wearing Women’s clothing???»
CRC: «OH! I’m sorry! Thats fine! Let me help you find some smaller waist jeans…»
CHUN: «I’m sorry doll, I was just joking! I’ll be leaving now and finding someplace alone to cry quietly…»
MEN: Don’t go here. Go to Banana Republic across the street. Its pretty much the same shit and probably made by the same 3^rd party outsourced overseas sweatshop employing my fellow yellow relatives.
CRC: Great customer service! Tell your boss you deserve a raise, promotion, a free lunch and/​or some store credit… I’ll vouch for you! And please don’t cut your hair short.

This store had the dress I wanted in my size so I had to go here giving this listing a Two Star rating. The quality of the product here is nice like Banana Republic. Their dresses are really nice and I always love their flip flops… meaning ALL J Crew. I go in (the Pleasanton store) to look at the clothes or shoes and try them there but they usually do not have my size in the store so I go online and order it. Which for me is fine because the service at this Walnut Creek store is just so bad I’d rather pay for the shipping and shop online than to deal with the snotty people here. If your basing ratings on mostly service — the NEGITIVE 3 Stars!
I don’t know if they are just use to the «The Creek» customer that they feel they can treat someone who doesn’t have «the look». I felt as if I was dirty they way they weren’t helping me, I didn’t come in wearing raggity sweats or rollers in my hair but it felt as if I did.
But I needed that dress for an event.
So I would not go here unless I REALLY REALLY needed to.
Let hope I don’t need to again! Pleasanton is much nicer, maybe thats why Pleasanton always sells thru most of their stock — because peopel are avoiding WC JCrew!
