Rafael was a referral from a friend that used him for her wedding. He was nothing short of amazing. He captured (in less than 15 minutes of footage) all the key elements of our pre-​ceremony, baraath, wedding, cocktail hour, reception and all the touching moments in between. Not easy to do! He included a trailer, the wedding ceremony in full, beautiful voice overs, great exterior shots of our venue giving it a movie like feel. He even included all the raw footage so we didn’t miss a beat. It was truly professional, and he authenticated our video with music that we selected for our ceremony & reception. Truly custom work, and he authenticates the video to your special day. He made us look and feel like movie stars in our wedding video. Give this guy an Oscar already.

my husband and i hired rafael for our wedding and it was an extreme pleasure to have him. he worked extremely well with our photographer (different vendor), it was almost hard to telll that they were two different vendors, they worked extremely well together.
his team was extremely talented, they had some amazing ideas for our trailer and short film, which we cannot wait to see!
unlike other indian wedding videos, rafael creates a cinematic story which is something new for us to see. he answered all of our questions, responded to our emails very fast, and was always on time!

We used Rafael for our wedding in May and he was amazing. They were pretty much invisible during the ceremony an even during the first look, though I know they were there.
We got our highlights video and the full DVD by our 3 month anniversary as promised. The highlights video and DVD are «hollywood production quality» as my brother-​in-​law the film nerd put it. Simply amazing.
The DVD was split into a movie of the whole event with the speeches and dances separated as extras. It’s really was the best way to present the day, the ‘movie’ flows so nicely. capturing the getting ready, the ceremony, guests, cocktail hour and reception but edited so its not slow and boring. He used the songs we chose so beautifully, and though we chose a wide range of tunes it doesn’t feel disjointed at all. and one moment flows into the next.
We’re making TONS of copies to send to family and I know they wont be bored by watching a standard wedding video, but instead will be watching a wedding movie… the story of our wedding day.

Leyla Productions produces the most amazing, high quality videos. It is definitely not your typical wedding video. The videos are very cinematic and unique. You get a complete package with professionalism, quality, technique, and talent. I highly recommend Leyla Productions for capturing any of lifes important events.

My husband and I had an indian wedding and used Leyla Productions to cover our engagement, wedding, various ceremonies in between and reception.
Raphael uses various cameras to get THE shot while filming, and I appreciated that he didn’t use one of those large old-​school video cameras with a bright light on the top that just ruins the lighting at the party. I was sold when i saw his previous work on
plus he shoots for the PBS channel.
In addition to all the events, he helped create a funny reception entrance video for us. All our friends are still talking about that video! Made my husband and I look like super-​stars :) The mehndi and maiyaa ceremonies were in different cities (SF, Fremont, Modesto) and he travelled there to shoot the events. He is also already familiar with indian ceremonies cuz of all the other weddings he’s covered and needed very little guidance from us.
He is very professional, got along with our photographers and vendors. Based on what I’ve seen on Facebook, I think they all became BFF’s after the wedding lol.
I would go with him if you want something different (not the same old style of videos with cheesy hearts and graphics that hide the actual video). I’d say he has a modern but artsy style.
The only thing to be aware of is that despite shooting hours of coverage video, his main product after each event is about 15 minutes max. I like this because he puts together the important parts and leaves out the boring parts (people eating and dancing). When I show people my videos, they won’t get bored at having to watch people they don’t know. On the other hand, some people want to see EVERYTHING and he provides you with all the raw footage too if that’s what you want.

Leyla Productions makes the most gorgeous wedding videos I’ve ever seen. Now, I’ve seen a lot of wedding videos and I usually want to either fall asleep, or vomit at the cheese-​factor. Not so with Leyla Productions.
Rafael, the mastermind behind Leyla Productions has a warm and friendly personality, so he feels like a guest or friend, not a vendor. He isn’t afraid to get right in there to get the shot, but without disturbing anyone. And the post-​production editing is phenomenal. The videos capture everyone in a flattering light and really tell a unique story in a manner that is fit for the silver-​screen.
Rumor has is that Rafael is big-​time, doing work for PBS and other big names, so it’s nothing short of a miracle to be able to hire him for your wedding videography. To sum things up, you’d be crazy not to hire him while you still can.
