History

Established in 1983.

Owner operator Les Howard opened Action Video over 30 years ago in Walnut Creek. Action Video is part of a large video production network of independent videographers. Through our affiliation, we have a robust exchange of experiences and ideas that help to continuously update and improve our video services. We have resources that can perform almost any video related service, and we can get it done practically anywhere in North America.

Meet the Business Owner

Business Owner

Les Howard was born and raised in Walnut Creek. Les is a graduate of UC Berkeley. He attended Stanford graduate school in communications at their England Cliveden Campus in 1975 – 76. He later worked as Sales Manager and Vice President of Country Inn Tours /​Travel Insurance Services until he opened Action Video in 1983. He served as the Inaugural Chairman of the Video Data Services (now Video Masters) advisory board, a national affiliation of independent video companies. Les has been involved with many community organizations over the years. He was a member of the Walnut Creek Rotary Club for 23 years and served on their board of directors. Les served on the board of the Gardens at Heather Farm and served as President of the borad for three years. Les and his family received a certificate of Special Congressional Recognition and Certificate of appreciation from the Walnut Creek PROS Commision in 2008 for outstanding and invaluable service to the community and citizens of Walnut Creek.
