Mike Trejo – Bridgepoint Funding

In the past two years I have had two experiences with Mike and Bridgepoint Funding. In 2014, he helped me with the purchase of my first property. In 2016, he helped me with a refinance that saved me money on my mortgage.
Both experiences were phenomenal. As a first time home buyer, Mike and his team were thorough in their plan. They provided step by step details on what was expected and needed of me to keep the process moving. They were very knowledgeable and explained all potential options/​outcomes. This was especially important to me because I like to know all possibilities before I sign on the dotted line.
Mike and his team have never steered me wrong and I appreciate them for that. They do the little things (checking in, follow up emails, phone calls) to ensure their clients feel like a priority. I would highly recommend Alex, Quinn and Mike!

Mike and his team, namely Quinn Smyrni, did an outstanding job on a recent transaction. I represented the buyers. The lines of communication were always open. It was a real pleasure working with Mike and Quinn — they never freaked out and kept the small fires from turning into big ones. When there were a couple of issues, they stayed calm, cool and collected for everyone and therefore we all handled it well!

My spouse and I worked with Mike and his team and they are truly a magical team. Sorry guys it took us so long to give you the positive review you deserve. We have been so busy unpacking in our new home that would not have been possible without your help. We were less than the ideal client with multiple hurdles to jump but you guys made the impossible possible. You worked with us and when one door closed in our face you found another. Bridge point funding worked very hard and very diligently helping us with our VA loan.
We had a few roadblocks but they worked hard to resolve them.
I would definitely recommend them to any family or friends.

I often read great reviews and wonder how many «friends» are doing favors writing reviews for someone or a business.
I can confirm… Mike Trejo and team are legit!!! From initially seeing the property, to putting a bid, to close of escrow was a one month process. Exactly one month. We did did not ask Bridgepoint to rush the process, the team was simply on it. Alexandra Oles and Kimle Alberto were in constant communication with us and our realtor. If I asked a question, they responded within 24 hours or less. Cannot speak highly enough to their level of professionalism.
I just did the final walk thru of our now property. My realtor, Marie Kennon, asked me where we found Mike Trejo. He was recommended through a friend who is also a realtor. Marie was beyond impressed and had to keep up with this team. She said she was not used to a broker and the team being so on it. Mike runs a tight ship.

Worked with Mike and Kimle on our refinance. Blown away by their customer service. Prompt, consistent and painless! All our questions were answered and we weren’t left feeling uneasy as we have in the past with the last lender we worked with. Highly recommended!

It was not meant for another business. Maybe you shouldn’t employ people who bully kids on Facebook and have their profile removed. On top of that, you clearly lack ethics.
Jeff Collins does work at Bridgepoint. My original comment was removed as it seems Mike Trejo lied about his employing Jeff Collins there who bullied my son and had his Facebook page removed. Here is my original post:
I spoke with a Jeff Collins recently. He was very deceitful and lied to me about numerous properties I was interested in. Not only that, but once I expressed my disinterest with his rude demeanor towards me as he put it, «too poor too buy from me». He then took it upon himself to harass my son on Facebook. He verbally abused my son publicly then had his profile deleted permanently by claiming he was the victim of abuse. I’m not only sickened by such behavior of a grown men but also disgusted at the subtle «come ons» toward my son; saying such things like, «If you want your dad to get financed for this property then you’ll do me a special favor that no one can know about». I guess he didn’t think I would find these messages, unfortunately shortly after discovering them he had my sons profile which included all of his friends from school banned permanently. All of his friends think he just purposely deleted them and are lying too him. He has now become the subject of ridicule at his school.
How anyone that behaved this way, and pretended to be a loving and devoted husband with children of his own would be allowed to work for an organization that claims to be such an exemplary one is astonishing. Jeff Collins and Bridgepoint Funding will never have my business. I make well over 6 figures a year with a start up business I started out of my garage 12 years ago, that I will not mention to protect my business and my poor sons name. I do apoligize to Mike for posting this to his Unilocal,but clearly Jeff Collins doesn’t want a Unilocal for this kind of information to go back too. I only saw Mike briefly while he was speaking with a customer and he was very kind, considerate, and seemed to genuinely care about their needs. So please, when it comes too Mike or any other agents with this company please ignore the one star rating. Do not deal with Jeff Collins. That is all I have too say, he is a despicable person who likes to bully children amongst other things I can only hope were a joke.

I have nothing but wonderful things to say about Mike Trejo and his team at BridgePoint Funding. They helped me with the purchase of my home as well as two refinances, each one being an awesome experience. Mike not only found an awesome loan for me but set me up for a better one by telling me exactly what I needed to do; we created a plan and a timeline, followed through with it and he called me when it was time to start the process. The customer service is nearly flawless. If I had a question it was answered almost immediately by Kim, Alex, Quinn, or Mike, and I was never left wondering what was going on. The outcome of my last refinance has left me in an awesome financial position. I would never go anywhere else for financial assistance, and would encourage anyone in need of a home loan or refinance to contact Mike Trejo at BridgePoint Funding. They do not disappoint!

Can’t say enough great things about Mike, Quinn and the entire team at Bridgepoint Funding. Mike is honest and upfront with advice and doesn’t promise anything he can’t deliver. Our experience with our home purchase was not easy, but Mike’s team was right on top of every situation that came up. Great communication between our loan processor Quinn. We never had to call more than once or email more than once with a question. Quinn always responded and with an answer. Bridgepoint was there for us at every turn, every corner and every bump in the road… all the way to the end. We closed on time as promised… and I still don’t know how they did it. Cannot say enough great things about this company. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a company that not only is true to their word, but has integrity and truly cares about their clients.

Mike and the Bridgepoint Funding Team has done is again! My wife and I purchased a home last February and used Bridgepoint Funding. We stumbled upon a new community being built a mile down the road from our current home and fell in love. Even though the builder was aggressive in recommending their lender (Wells Fargo), we knew we had to work with Bridgepoint Funding again.
As with our first home purchase, Mike, Kimle and Denise were friendly, knowledgeable, had a sense of urgency and actually cared! Mike and I worked very closely on the best way to approach this new purchase and I fully trust in his recommendations.
As I stated in my previous review last year, I would (and will!) recommend Bridgepoint Funding to all of my family and friends.

Woohoo! As good as it gets! That’s right!
My bff highly recommended Mike, so I decided to work with Mike and team for my property financing need. One of the contingency in contract is to be able to close within 21 days. Who closes in 21 days lately? That’s bs, but we sign it anyway. Last time I finance through Wells Fargo, it took 2 months to close. I used to work there and actually looked up my loan officer info and escalate my case to his manager, AND it still took 2 months to close. I was worried, and then I saw Mike’s review on Unilocal.I told myself, if Mike and team can’t do it, I don’t know who can, and thank goodness I was right.
My financials are pretty complicated, plus I filed my own tax return and made some mistakes, needless to say, it takes talent to get things done FAST and ACCURATE to submit my case for funding.
Mike and Team (Kim — oh thank you so much Kim!), work tirelessly to get my loan funded on time with a great rate for investment property. They are VERY organize and have high coordination skill to took on my case, cleared all the hurdles (including my dumb mistake on my tax filing), coordinate with notary so I can be on time to go to doc.

This is my second time working with Mike and Kim. They make things so easy and are really quick and efficient at what they do.
When I first worked with Mike and Kim, they advised me to go with a different lending company because it was a better deal (even after going through all the paperwork process), so of course when I needed to refinance I thought of them.
Kim is super honest, thorough and efficient. She was extremely patient, easy going and took the time to answer all my questions and concerns. Refinance has been the easiest thing I’ve done for my home thanks to Bridgepoint Funding.

Thank you to Mike and his team as well as Unilocal users! This review is long overdue. Back in August my fiancé (now wife) and I made the decision to move from San Diego to the Bay Area. My realtor in San Diego used a relocation company to recommend a realtor to us, but we were on our own when it came to the mortgage.
Not knowing the area and not wanting to go the way of big retail banks we reached out to Unilocal and found Mike and his team based solely on the stellar reviews/​testimonials and I am pleased to say we were not disappointed in the slightest.
Mike and his team worked with us via phone and e-​mail throughout the process and got us a great deal and helped make sure everything went smoothly. Great customer service, great product, listened to what we needed and provided solutions. Great all around. Thank you Mike and the BP Funding team!

Our loan was very complicated from the start. We had worked with another agent before and he told us to move money around and that we had to wait for 2 months, etc…
We spoke to Mike and he dint promise us the moon but said he would try to get us a loan. My husband has a shortsale to his name so this complicated things more since we had not crossed the 4 year period yet. The rates with him on the loan, would be pretty high. In spite of all this we asked Mike to help us get a loan.
First thing, Mike never said «you guys are crazy» «your asking for the impossible». He always reassured us that he would try his best and was extremely professional given we called him so many times, on sundays and even in the middle of his son’s soccer games (sorry Mike!)
Every obstacle that we had, Mike gave us an option to cross! So when we made an offer on the house, we had to ask for a close of 2 months and also our rates would be close to 8 or above. Then Mike, Bobbie and Kim started working on our loan… I cannot express how impressed I am with the entire team! They were always so patient in explaining things to me, never once where they frustrated that I was calling/​emailing so often and they kept me updated throughout the process!
To make a long story short, not only were they able to close my loan 30 days earlier than promised but they managed to get us a loan just on my income with an awesome rate!!!
If you are thinking of buying a house, just call Mike… Dont think twice, you won’t be disappointed!

I’m reading all these 5 star reviews and I’m thinking, maybe Mike deletes all his bad reviews or asks his friends if not his good clients to leave a 5 star review. While I’m typing in this review it says, «Don’t leave us hanging — what else you got?» Well that’s exactly what Mike did, left us hanging. I understand there’s people out there with good credit and of course, those with bad. Mike, you seemed like a good guy upon meeting you for the first time, but I just can’t appreciate how you obviously treat your clients that you can’t make money from.
We provided all our personal sensitive information and afterwards, waited a good number of weeks then finally contacted Mike to see what’s going on. His response was he’ll get back to me the next Tuesday. That was several months ago and still no update or contact to let us know. How hard is a simple phone call or text to let us know we weren’t approved?! Maybe Mike is the type that doesn’t want to tell the truth that we got approved, but not enough to make him the money he wants. Or maybe he just doesn’t have the decency to let us know he can’t approve us with a simple apology like a decent respectable broker. So I’ll leave this review and see if it actually stays. The 1 star is for how Mike seemed like a nice guy at first.

That is the first thing that stands out to me about Mike Trejo. No matter how many curveballs were thrown at him during the course of our loan, Mike always seemed to objectively assess the situation and, without a single exception, move us forward in the direction required for our best chance of success.
Our experience was so unique and challenging that our first three attempts at securing a loan were met with wide eyed stares and unreturned phone calls from some (apparently) competent brokers. Here’s what Mike said to me; «I’m grateful for the chance to educate myself on some of these obscure aspects of these kinds of loans.»

What can I say … This turned out to be an enjoyable and long term relationship with Mike and his team at Bridgepoint.
Since being introduced to Mike in 2009, Mike and his wonderful team has been my «1-​stop shop» and «go-​to knowledge house» for all my home mortgage and refinancing needs.
Since my last review in 2011 — I’ve since had 2 refinances and 1 purchase with Mike. And of course, Mike has come through each and every time with great professionalism, accuracy, promptness, patience and BEST RATE!!! Mike, Kim, and Alex — aka the Amazing Team — just makes everything so easy and flow like a breeze!
My last purchase was a particularly challenging one and needed a quick close (ex-​owner was flipping the property) and of course, I would trust NO ONE ELSE to do this loan other than Mike/​Bridgepoint. Mike and his team promptly organized all documents with me, coordinated seamlessly with the escrow company, my real estate agent, selling agent, etc. and executed another seamless transaction and CLOSED IN 3 WEEKS!!!
It is absolutely true what fellow Unilocaler Mansur said — there really isn’t a loan that Mike cannot close.
