Good service. Good guys. I spoke to 3 – 4 different guys and they were all really awesome.
Brought my 2002 X5 in for a new battery. They replaced it pretty painfully, put air in my tires and I wanna say they may have even rotated them.
I also thought them to be somewhat cheaper than other European garages. Competitive prices. Id bring my BMW back to them if it weren’t under warranty.

I lease a C250 that is no longer under the dealership service contract. Following up on the impressive Unilocal reviews, I brought my car in for a service B on Oct 2015. Very professional and courteous staff. They did a same day service and even picked me up from a coffee shop when the car was done. The cost was much more reasonable then the dealership w/​out compromising quality. I will definately be returning here for future service.

This place is top flight in my view. Took our car in after getting an appointment. Very professional establishment. They evaluated the problem and called and quoted a price to repair to which I agreed. They finished the work on time and then followed up with a phone call the next day. Dennis is excellent and gets the customer interaction part very well.

I own two Mercedes and have a background in Mercedes-​Benz automotive service. Yorks provides excellent service with honest and professional management. Dennis has gone above and beyond to make maintenance of my cars convenient and pain-​free. This shop provides no frills old-​school service with the customers bottom line always in mind.

I recently purchased a used 2005 Mercedes turbodiesel. I needed some work done on it as soon as possible at the best prices. Within a 45 mile radius of my house, they had the best prices (over $ 600 cheaper), and by far had the soonest available appointment and got my car done in 1 day, and I didn’t give them almost any notice. Dennis was very helpful and extremely nice. I highly recommend then for any work needed done on your Mercedes. This is my 2^nd Mercedes I’ve had and won’t be my last due to there knowledge and honest work everytime.

I am so impressed. I knew York had a great reputation but am truly impressed. The warranty on my C350 expired and I decided to have my car serviced by York rather than the dealer. Dennis was so very helpful. He explained the details of the service and gained my trust.

Well so far so good. The guys at York’s are so nice and very knowledgeable. They don’t treat you like a number and when you ask a question which may sometimes seem like a stupid one they know you are not the mechanic and more than happy to answer and explain in terms you can understand. Dennis, Jeff, and a mechanic whose name I missed, helped me out even when I hadn’t made an appointment and just stopped by. They came out to listen to the noise my car was making and told me it was the blower fan. They even offered to get me an appointment the next day. They also told me where to get a laser cut key which my Mercedes uses. Thank you guys!

Found a great home for my car away from the expensive dealership. York’s has great service, superb mechanics, honest pricing, and that personal touch. No frills kind of place so you don’t worry about paying for 5-​star lobby, coffee or gold-​plated pens. John, Dennis, Jeff and rest of team got their act together. Highly recommended!

York’s Motorwerke is fantastic! I needed to find a repair shop to service my SLK300, and went to York’s based on prior Unilocal reviews. They did not disappoint. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a quality repair shop for their Mercedes.

I can’t say enough good things about this company! They are honest, helpful, and exceed my every expectation. Jeff and Dennis run the service desk and order parts. They are amazing. Jeff staying 20 minutes after they were supposed to be closed to make sure I got my car this evening because traffic was super heavy getting there. Dennis gives precise quotes and makes sure that he is careful to spend my money on repairs wisely. The work on my car is always done well. Even when they thought they could not complete my car work today, they made every effort to try… and amazingly there were able to complete the work. I have gone to Mercedes dealerships in the past, but York Motorwerke’s is much better in every way. The work on my car is done right, at a better price. Kudos to this business for maintaining their high quality of work and doing it with fabulous customer service. You can’t go wrong with York! They need a more than five star rating!

Unbelievable service! They’ll pick you up/​drop you off at BART, explain everything in painstaking detail, and give you all the info you need at every decision point. Responsive on the phone, and patient in person. Having dealt with dealerships and private shops, it was a relief to come here and get actually helpful service for terrific pricing. And they wash your car before giving it back to you!

York Autowerke are the best mechanics I have ever worked with. Alway accommodating and punctual. York are knowledgeable they know Mercedes Benz inside out with years of experience. Fair pricing and work always guaranteed no questions asked. They clean my car eveytime I bring it in for service which is an added bunos. Employees have been with them for a long time and that is for a reason, they are taken care of.
I would love to keep owning a Mercedes because I trust York and their repair work.

FYI: they also work on other cars besides Mercedes which they specialize in. I had my 2008 Toyota tundra worked on today. I put my complete trust in their service and prices.

Just got off the phone with a man named dennis. I called this place because i have a benz. I described a very simp, e issue im having with my door lock… the little door knob shutters really fast when i press on the remote to open/​lock and the actual u-​shape clasp embedded on the inner side of the door doesnt function properly. I yhought by calling a place that specializes in mercedes would at least have an idea BUT dennis was very adamant about not sharing his expertise by guessing and he insisted that i would have to bring my car in for a SCANNING.
Funny thing is i called two mechanics from Unilocal previous to dennis and they were instantly able to provide me with at least a GUESSTIMATION.
Dennis said he has NO idea. Some kind of an expert he is, right? All around a very poor customer experience.
NOTE: i would not have Unilocaled yorks if they had not been mercedes specialists.

After a not so great experience for years with another repair shop (I have reviewed), I drove by York’s and made the decision that I would take my 2002 Mercedes C230 there. The previous shop was not able to reset my service indicator and told me that I needed some new part.
The first time I took my car to York’s was when the Engine light came on. They not only diagnosed the engine light problem, they reset the service indicator with no problem, and they did a full evaluation of the car.
After receiving the full evaluation, I made the decision to retire the car at 185,000. York’s was great in that they didn’t try to just fix one thing for $ 1000, only to have me return within a month for another and another and another.
I truly appreciated their service, customer service, thoroughness, and honesty.
I now drive a 2014 Toyota Camry Hybrid XLE.

York’s was highly recommended and the recommendations were spot on. I’m pleased to have brought my BMW there for repair. Not only did they repair our car, but they were so friendly and honest.
The communication between us was great, and the prompt, professionalism of their work was on point.
I will definitely continue to use them in the future and suggest everyone do the same!

Honest, professional, trustworthy, and thorough. I can’t say enough good things about York’s.
I recently took my car in for an issue that I thought was going to be really expensive, based on how my car was behaving. But they fixed it under warranty and it didn’t cost me a cent! I realized that if I had taken it anywhere else, I would have gotten ripped off. So here I am, professing my profound gratitude and paying it forward.
My Parents have been loyal clients, taking their cars here for years, receiving great service every time. In fact, a big reason why I currently drive (and most likely will always drive) a Mercedes as opposed to any other make is because I know have a great mechanic.
Having a mechanic/​shop you can trust is sadly hard to find these days. But let me say: «You’re welcome!» in advance ;-)

Before going to York’s, I took my Mercedes 450GL to Mercedes of Walnut Creek for a simple repair and inspection.
Result from Mercedes of Walnut Creek:
* Poor communication of the issues,
* they attempted multiple times to upsell me to a new Mercedes
* $ 500 bill for the inspection, $ 9,900 estimated repair bill to fix the «issues» they found
* a 40 minute wait when I went to pick up the car
Took same vehicle to York’s with spectacularly different outcome:
Result from York’s:
* Clear communication of issues including which ones were actually important to fix
* $ 120 bill for the inspection ($ 380 less than M of WC)
* Estimate for repairs that was $ 6,600 less than M of WC
* Savings of 40% on the repairs they did recommend
As a side note, when I went to York’s, Dennis was working the counter, and was having a conversation with an older gentleman about his old Mercedes. The man was struggling with whether he should keep his car or get a used Suburu.
Dennis gave the guy tremendously knowledgeable and caring advice on the pros and cons of each. Clearly he had gotten to know the man well enough that the advice was thoughtful and targeted to him directly. When the man left, Dennis shook his hand warmly and put his hand on his shoulder like they were old friends. Maybe they were, but in any case it was the most human exchange I’ve ever witnessed in an auto shop.
