I am glad Alba bakery is within walking distance from my house. So far I’ve tried almond/walnut/coconut baklava, honey coconut yogurt, plain hummus, and cannoli in tiramisu flavor. All of them were so good. Baklavas were crispy and sweet with generous amount of crushed nuts. Yogurt was very creamy and tasted like an ice cream.(it’s a bit too sweet if you are a weight watcher) Hummus was fresh compared to factory-made products at supermarkets. Cannoli was on point. The cream cheese filling was not heavy or excessively sweet. The only downside of this bakery is that the woman behind the counter responds to your question with emotionless face. But I can’t wait to try their other sweets and food! Updates: I think Alba has different kinds of baklava everyday. Walnut and almond baklava are staples but when I visited on Saturday night they had walnut-nutella baklava and walnut-fig baklava. I chose Nutella one and it did not disappoint me. But if you are not a fan of chocolates, this one might not be yours as chocolate taste overpowers original baklava taste. I tried a stuffed pepper and grape leaves too. They were so good!

All I can say is WOW! What a find! I’ve had their stuffed eggplant, stuffed peppers, salads, homemade yogurt(the orange flavored one is delicious!), baklava, honey cookies, olives, spinach and cheese pies… and they were all simply wonderful! In addition, this is a small family business and the owners are really nice, genuine people with roots in the Mediterranean region and an understanding of how to authentically share their cuisine. Highly recommended!!!

I was looking for a local(to Waltham) bakery to purchase treats for my office and for a party I’m hosting this week. I tried the almond cookies with all the powdered sugar, the mango cheesecake, the chocolate«mice», the baklava, and each of the truffles. The only item that was lacking at all was the cheesecake — but only because it had no discernible mango flavor. It was still good — texturally perfect. The chocolate mice — its like a tiny tiny bit of cake surrounded by chocolate mousse and topped with ganache. Amazing! The baklava… scrumptious. SOSO good! I’m very happy to have a new local bakery to support in my endeavors to impress my co-workers. Will definitely be back.

This place is amazing! Their yogurt is fantastic and homemade. The honey vanilla is pretty much as good as eating ice cream– super creamy. The baklava is also fantastic. They have several different kinds, including walnut, coconut, pistachio, and nutella/hazlenut, and they are all so good.

Such a nice little market that just opened up. I wandered in just to see if there was a thing interesting to try. I decided to try the honey vanilla yogurt, and it is the best yogurt I’ve ever had. It is so thick and well-flavored. Very filling and tasty! Not to mention, incredibly cheap. Will definitely be back multiple times!

Tried: Rice-stuffed grape leaves – OK, but nothing special, a bit boring Stuffed bell peppers – Either veg or meat stuffing is available, so I went with one of the latter and it was very good, would definitely order again Stuffed eggplant – only veg stuffing, it was decent but too sweet Spinach and feta sandwich – wrapped wtih phyllo pastry, I though it was just OK Hummus – OK, but thicker than I like Frankly, I wasn’t excited. Didn’t try any sweets, but they’d have to be pretty good for me to go back again.

I went back for the baklava. Holy hell is that good! It may well be the best I’ve ever had. It isn’t dripping with honey and soggy like you sometimes get. Crisp pastry layers, deep rich flavor. Wow.

We had an excellent, relaxing family gathering last week, thanks to Alba Mediterranean Market &Bakery. Even, though, they made extra portions of chicken breasts we just couldn’t have enough — they were so juicy and flavorful! Roasted potatoes were soft and crispy at the same time, and o, so fragrant! I don’t know the name of the cake or whatever desert it was, but I could not forget its taste! My sister told me that it all didn’t cost too much at all! I know where I’m going to order from next time myself.

Yum!!! What a delicious spot! Prices are reasonable and everything is deliciously fresh. Pastries are melt in your mouth good, and the yogurt is the perfect balance of tang and sweetness. Not to mention the staff is so lovely! Can’t wait to try everything!

I am so glad this place is on Moody! They have the most delicious and freshest baklava I have ever had. Not an overstatement, this is scientific fact! I also tried their grape leaves, they are delicious morsels of rice, spices, and love. Today I bought a pastry(the name of which I have forgotten, galek… something or other – it was phyllo pastry stuffed with custard and honey drizzle), it was still warm from the oven and I could taste the thoughtfulness and love that went into making such a scrumptious treat. The young lady that attended me was sweet and provided me with great service. This is the type of family business I want to see more and more of. I will continue to visit them and I’m looking forward to trying all their other food offerings.

A really great addition to Moody Street! We tried 3 types of baklava — coconut, pistachio, and walnut. All were excellent! I also got a small container of honey vanilla yogurt which was also delicious. Can’t wait to go back and try more.

I have just been once, but I had the freshest baklava of my life. I believe to get any fresher baklava, one must marry a baker. Also, they make their own Greek style yogurt, taste it, it is super ! I look forward to trying the savories))
