Paul– AMAZING! I needed «something» I turned him loose and said its all yours. He cut, colored, and changed it all up! What he see’s its BEYOND what you can. No rush, he is more meticulous about your hair health, shape, color and life style than I was.
I love this mans talent and EVERY CLIENT get his full attention. Just go there, see for yourself, you will not be disappointed. Cost is VERY reasonable. TRUST ME! JUST GO! His decades of experience will not disappoint anyone

Great local place to get a haircut. I’ve only had Paul cut my hair and he does an outstanding job. He really takes his time to make sure everything is lined up properly and that you are completely satisfied with what you’ve got. While I was there waiting he put the closed sign out after 4:00 but didn’t turn away any of the three people who came by after that. He also offered to let people give him their phone numbers and have him call them 15 minutes prior to their cut so they didn’t have to wait around!

Paul is amazing… simple as that.
On two separate occasions, he took time out of his day to: extend his hours to accommodate a late afternoon haircut for a job interview the next day and opened up his shop on his day off to accommodate me coming back from vacation on a day he was closed.
He is as consummate a person as he is a barber and salonist. His instincts with what looks good on you are out of this world. He turns self-​conscious into self-​confident. Paired with the absurd value for the attention to detail you receive, you’d be hard-​pressed to find anyone else in Metro West that delivers on all the levels he does.
I’ve gone to Stage 1 and am content with never making it to Stage 2.

Love going to Paul. He does an amazing job and takes his time to give you the right haircut. I used to live in Waltham but moved to concord. I still make the drive just to go to Stage 1. Great value too!

I got one of the better, perhaps the best, haircut of my life by Paul Marc!

This place is better known as Stage 1 Head Games but those who’ve been here would call it the best value in haircutting in eastern Massachusetts. Located on High Street a short distance from Moody Street, it’s a very unpretentious salon that’s become one of my favorites in a short period of time.
Although owner Paul Marc has taken care of my hair most times when I’ve been in here I could recommend anyone working behind the chairs. Recently I stopped in on a Saturday morning. I like the fact that they don’t treat my visits like an assembly line — they always take enough time to make my cut look right. Prices are super reasonable and the staff is always very friendly and listens to what patrons want, or don’t want, in a cut.
Appointments and walk-​ins are both accepted and, about the only thing I can criticize about the place is that it doesn’t have its own parking lot. It’s clean, the staff is professional and their work is extremely good. I will caution that it doesn’t have the full range of services that one might find in extremely pretentious salons, but then again, this is a place that cuts hair, and does it better, and at better prices, than just about anywhere in the area. I’d certainly recommend it.
