History
Established in 1947.
Bill Blalock opened a 2-car garage for business in Silver Spring, Maryland in 1947 and named it Blalock Cycle. In 1948, still a one man show, he moved to a little store in Glenmont, Maryland. The next move in 1949 was back to Silver Spring. Then, movin’ on up in 1967 a new two-story store was opened in Wheaton, Maryland. Blalock Cycle was rolling. Returning to Mrs. Blalock’s roots, in 1984 the final move was to our present location, the historic town of Warrenton, Virginia, 40 miles west of DC.
The second generation of Blalock, Bill’s oldest son, Rick Blalock, is now running and managing Blalock Cycle. Blalock Cycle continues the same level of quality and customer service as that little two car garage that opened in 1947.
