Loved Jenny. She did the waxing. Great girl, very efficient. 200% recommended.
The appointment was made by phone for an hour later so very timely.

Fantastic! Came here for a last minute brazillian. It cost more than my usual place, but the whole wax took like 15min and was about the same pain level as getting your eyebrows done. My esthetician was Jenny and she was great. Am definitely going to be a regular.

I got a brazilian wax done today by Kelly and she was amazing! She took her time and did an excellent job with the wax. She was very gentle and the technique she used minimized discomfort and pain. It was my first time working with Kelly and I will definitely be back — I already made my next appointment with her!

Quoted one price online — paid MORE for less service when I arrived. Appointment was over 20 min early. Everyone was nice, and I’m satisfied with the result — but I can’t do one quote online and something different in person. I’ll be calling when they reopen to discuss. I wanted to love them — but bad business is just something I can’t do.

This place is actually located inside the Last Tangle salon. My hairstylist Jeff recommended capital waxing last time I was at Last Tangle. I decided to give them a try and I am glad I did. Kelly is very professional and experienced. The process was quick, painless and she made me feel very comfortable.
While you are there if you want a nice cut, color or highlights then I highly recommend Jeff. I recently had him put some extensions in my hair and OMG, I couldn’t be happier with the results.

This place gets 5 stars in the most important areas: completely hygienic, fast, and nearly painless. Great technique too; Jenny obviously knows what she is doing. I did the whole nine yards here (full arms, full legs, full Brazilian) and will definitely come back.
The reason I gave an overall 4-​star rating is that the atmosphere really leaves something to be desired. As other reviewers have mentioned, there is no privacy. («Why would you expect privacy?!» you ask. I don’t know, but I do…) In some other salons they leave a towel on the bed for you, let you undress in private, and then only re-​enter once you’re on the bed and covered by the towel. Even worse, the room you’re in is tiny with the long side of the bed pushed up against a wall, meaning whichever side of you is not pointing out into the room is inaccessible to the technician. Jenny was practically climbing over me to wax my left armpit and it was awkward and not relaxing.
I know they’re a small operation allotted a tiny room in Last Tangle Salon, but these are easy and cheap fixes. The waxer I left behind in NYC was not more skilled that the women at Capital Waxing, but she created an absolutely spa-​level experience. At least turn the bed!

First time Brazilian-​er here. I’ve had bikini waxes before, but never the whole Brazilian. I went to Capital Waxing based on other Unilocal reviews, and I was not let down.
The minute I walked in, Kelly took me back to the waxing room. It was clean and professional, and she quickly put me at ease. It was painful, obviously, but I’m sure it could have been much worse with a less-​skilled hand. I would definitely go back here — it’s a treasure!

So I usually come here and love my experience. It’s painful but it’s so FAST that I can handle 10 minutes of pain. Most days I go to both of the popular girls, but their schedules are always pretty packed. One day I needed a brazilian and the only available person was Jenny. I was skeptical since Jenny was new but trusted her because it was Capital Waxing.
THIS WAS THE MOST PAINLESS BRAZILIAN I HAD EVER GOTTEN!
And when I say she made sure she got every hair, she did indeed. It was amazing. I was astonished at how painless it was. Ever since then I have been going to Jenny. She’s new and less popular but shes great!

Kelly is my girl! In and out from the very beginning to the end 15 – 20 minutes each time.

I have a low tolerance for pain. Having my nail cuticles cut makes me wince. So I typically leave the Brazilian waxes for special occasions. I laid down on the mat, trying to mentally prepare for the pain that was soon to come and Kelly started asking me about this scar on my tummy. The subject turned to my kids, vacationing, etc. Next thing I know she is finished while I was still waiting for the pain. I was amazed. It was the most painless Brazilian wax Ive ever received. I dont know what type of sorcery they have going on at Capital Waxing my I am a customer of Kelly’s for life!!! It is a little pricey but well worth it.

My friends have been telling me about Capital Waxing for quite some time, so I finally caved in and got my very first brazilian done by Kelly. Literally amazing. She made me feel so comfortable and talked me through everything. Everything was clean and professional. I was only there for about 10 minutes from the greeting to the part where you pay. I’ll definitely become a regular here.

My friends told me I should start getting waxed regularly so I figured why not try it and see if I can stand the pain. A friend of a friend suggested this place and told me to go to Leslie. I was able to call in at 4 and get a same day appointment on Thursday at 6 with Leslie. I showed up at 605 cause I didn’t look at the reviews on Unilocal (shame on me) that said it was inside a hair salon. But nobody seemed to mind (I called at 6 too let them know) it was not busy.
I went in she was so sweet and soothing and it only took 30minutes. My some of my hair was fairly short but she managed to get every single one and I somehow managed not to scream or cry. The back was definitely long enough since I never bothered to go back there and it was far less painful to me. Make sure your hair is long when you go your first time.
Apparently I have a high pain tolerance. I didn’t take the recommended painkillers and I was just fine afterwards. She said it was 64 before tip because it was my first time? Hopefully it’s cheaper in a few weeks but I will be back regardless.

I’ve been here twice for a Brazilian wax with Kelly. Both times have been a pleasant experience! She is very quick and will get you out the door in less then 20 minutes. She also sterilizes all of her tools and will even take out your ingrown hairs for you using a blade making sure the hair follicle is properly removed.
Tips:
1. You don’t have to book that far in advance, I’ve gotten a same day appointment before.
2. If you bring cash the price is a few dollars cheaper.
3. Try to avoid driving here because it can be difficult to find parking.
4. This is located in the Last Tangle Salon next to Rumors. Go down the stairs and check-​in with the lady sitting at a small desk.

Came in a few minutes earlier than my appointment and was seen within 5 minutes. Jenny was thorough, fast, professional and very informative. She gave me tips to prevent ingrowns and told me how long I should wait to come back in again. Other reviewers are absolutely right — they do not double dip, and they change the bed paper (I saw her do it before we left the room.) Fifteen minutes total and I was on my way back to work.
Ladies, this is THE place to get a Brazilian wax. Trust me.

I have to give this place 5 stars. It was my first time getting a Brazilian and Jenny was absolutely wonderful. I went into my appointment extremely nervous about the pain, but she was patient with me and talked me through the entire process. It didn’t take more than 15 minutes.
I would definitely recommended this place and will be coming back

Arrived two minutes late and had to wait an additional 7 to be seen but they were a little bit behind and that’s okay things happen.
I was waxed by Jenny. She was very fast and efficient she made a comment about how strong I was because k wasn’t really reacting to the pain of the waxing. I loved the fact that she didn’t double dip the waxing stick! She was also very helpful with getting out my ingrown hairs and I appreciate her a lot for doing that because other places I have gone to didn’t help to do that!
Atmosphere is nice and the location is very clean. It was a little weird to have her in the room as I undressed but if that’s how they do it so be it lol.
Overall I would def recommend this place and will be bringing my mom in from Columbia to get waxed here as well!

I booked Kelly because my regular esthetician had to go out of town for a family emergency.
Pros: Kelly was fast and accommodating (I was running about ten minutes late). I believe she did a fairly good job given I was in and out in fifteen minutes. The place is clean and fairly easy to find. Also, the pricing is right on par at $ 53 for a Brazilian.
Cons: the lack of privacy. This might be something I’ve just become accustomed to at other salons, however most times you are given privacy while preparing for the wax. I’m not sure if it was because I was behind schedule, but once we were in the room Kelly didn’t leave until she went to swipe my card following the procedure.
Overall, I’d book again if I were in another last minute situation.

It took me 2 years & a move back to the DMV to get waxed by Kelly… as always, quick, painless & so thorough! It’s so hard to find a great waxing service that takes pride on healthy hygiene practices, fresh/​unused products & great pricing. She had 10 people to service before my appointment & was still early. I’m so happy to be back at Capital Waxing with Michelle. BTW, to the eyebrows in need, Michelle has the gift of design & fabulous results.
