History

Established in 2008.

Started by 2 high school friends looking to provide environmentally friendly and fun transportation in Washington DC. Capitol Pedicab started with a fleet of only 6 pedicab, quickly growing to 30 and becoming DC’s largest. We specialize in providing transportation for corporate events, weddings and more!

Fun way to get around the mall. It’s like two miles from the capitol to the Lincoln Memorial. Don’t try to walk it. Grab one of these guys on a nice day or evening (even better after the height of the day) and take a break while they take you where you want to go. It’s more fun than a cab, and the drivers I’ve met are all nice and interesting people. I recommend it to my friends whenever they visit. Worth the extra money.

Well, not only did I get a photo taken by my driver just like Jonathan W., but I got a tour with information about the whole city.
Our cab driver didn’t smell like a smoker and seemed healthy enough to tow my friend and me around for a while.
I have a cousin who lives in DC, which is why I was down there last week, and I told her that she has to try the pedicab thing, and with these guys! I always picture that Seinfeld episode with the homeless people, Kramer, and Newman, but it’s so far from that, really.

Late, difficult, inhospitable, uncommunicative.
This was my first experience with a pedicab, and it will probably be my last. It was a surprise gift to my son and a disappointment to me and my wife.
We had him leave us at the FDR Memorial; we gave him $ 10; and we let him go 15 minutes early.
My wife’s comments: if you’re having a bad day, don’t come to work. If your throat hurts, don’t smoke (he had a cigarette while waiting for us at the Lincoln Memorial — which he tossed into the grass when he was done).
One positive note — he took a nice photo of us with my camera when I asked.

My Girlfriend and I took a Pedicab ride on New Year’s Eve from Adams Morgan to Chinatown. The ride was quick and safe. The driver was very freindly and told us interesting stories the whole ride.
I would reccomend any of my friends to take a ride with Capitol Pedicabs, and I will definetly be using them again myself.
