Just so depressingly bad. I literally live RIGHT across the street from this CVS and I will walk 3 blocks out of my way to go to Rite Aid just to avoid the heartache. It takes LESS time to walk the extra 6 blocks round trip rather than wait in the CVS check out. WHY, oh why did they take away the self checkout– now we’re all stuck waiting for their rude, slow staff to «Help» take our money. PLEASE just let me exchange cash for goods and services. Sometimes the line is to the back of the store and there’s just one hapless child behind the register scratching his head and saying«NO», «I cant», «I wont» at every opportunity. Don’t even TRY calling on the phone to ask a simple question like«Why are you closed in the middle of a Saturday?» or «When will you be open again» because you can actually HEAR their eyes rolling at you and FEEL their sigh breath come out of your phone. They hate customers. Having said that, the pharmacy staff is great and helpful, especially Vela. And there is one lovely lady in the front with super short curly hair– when I see her through the window I know its safe and I actually have a chance of checking out.

Hands down the best CVS in the city. Everyone is so friendly and helpful, including the staff at the front of the store. They are always willing to help me find stuff in the aisles as well as assist with problems at the self check-out. But the best part about this place is the 2 pharmacists. They are knowledgeable and friendly. They remember my name and they smile!

Just a typical CVS. Sometimes pretty crowded but will always have what you want/need. Within easy walking distance from the metro

I love that this CVS has individual-sized soymilk drink boxes and chocolate soymilk boxes! It’s very big. It really has everything.

I really like this CVS as it’s much bigger than the ones near my house and it’s usually pretty clean and well-stocked.

Man, I wish drugstores outside of NYC had seltzer in their soda coolers. But I can’t blame this CVS directly for that. What I can blame the guy behind the cash register for is staring at me for several seconds before offering to ring me up at ANOTHER cash register other than the one he was standing right behind. Only he didn’t really offer. He just sort of grunted and moved down two registers. Dude, I can’t read your mind if you need me to go to another register you need to tell me! You have to wonder if somewhere at corporate CVS the training director is putting together a PowerPoint with slides that give tips on how not to engage with or speak to the paying customers. «And you’ll see here the three stop process for avoiding eye contact. Now once you’ve mastered that, you can work on getting people to swipe their cards by just looking at the credit card machine on the counter rather than asking them to do it. No, no Ralph. You’re being too courteous and efficient. You need to go slower, mis-scan items several times, sigh loudly and roll your eyes more. That’s it. Good job.» I’ve said it before… robots.

The pharmacy here is extremely helpful. They called my doctor’s office almost every day for a week to get a prescription refill request signed. They also followed up with me every day to tell me about how my TERRIBLE doctor’s office wes not answering the phone, returning messages or responding to faxes. They really went above and beyond in trying to help me deal with the dysfunctional administration at my doctor’s office. I wish my phramacist here could be my doctor!

The pharmacist at this CVS is awesome! I had a super complicated situation where I was leaving the next day for a work trip overseas and HAD to have my Ambien prescription filled. The pharmacist went WAYABOVE the call of duty to make sure I got my medication in time for my trip. You guys are awesome!!!

hi franchise oversaturation A slightly better version of the same store only 3 short blocks away. Pharmacy is over-priced.

Never crowded, pharmacy seems on point, always in stock of medicine and such. The pharmacists seem very professional. Will be my CVS of choice.

This review is based solely on the photo department. 1 star, mostly because the machines were malfunctioning and the staff a) didn’t know what they were doing b) didn’t care about addressing, much less fixing, the problem. Poor customer service equals a place to avoid. Done.

A CVS is a CVS – this one is just alright. There’s always a long wait at check out even if there are only 2 people in line(there are usually only one or two people working, it seems, in the whole store), but it has basically everything you’d need. I really don’t like that the lotions and body washes are locked up, though, especially when the one employee in the store is behind the cash register. Prescriptions also usually take a long time to be refilled, although I went once and it was done in legit 5 minutes. On a different day, at the exact same time, it took 3 hours. Very perplexing. Overall, the convenient location(right next to the Vermont Ave. exit at the U St. metro) and well-stocked inventory make this CVS a winner!

This CVS/pharmacy is so convenient for me, tons of stuff here, there are rarely lines and the service is normal — even at the pharmacy they are never fussy. The best part is that it’s open late 7 days a week, and the pharmacy is open on the weekends!
