Those are the most delicious and yummiest donuts I have ever had in the DMV. They are so fluffy, flavorful, and warm. Their taste is very similar to the French beignets and that’s what I have been looking for. The staff is very nice and generous. They only take cash. So make sure you take plenty with you before heading to Eastern Market

Don’t be afraid of the long line watching in awe as the fresh batter squirts into hot oil and emerges a few seconds later as the cutest little doughnuts you’ve ever seen. As the finished products roll out, the queue of people will quickly claim their prizes and leave. Top them off with chocolate, caramel, or frosting, then dust with powdered sugar, cinnamon sugar, sugar, and/or sprinkles. Never will you have fresher. What a treat!

Highly disappointed. Stopped in yesterday so excited after reading all of the reviews. Bf and I got the maple bacon donut and a small bag of mini donuts. All donuts were cold as if they’d been made hours earlier. Nothing was fresh like previous reviews had led me to believe.

Fresh mini donuts made after you order them. My young daughters loved putting their own toppings on them. And they have decadent bakery donuts like red velvet and Oreo topped chocolate cake donuts. Delicious and worth the wait.

DC Donuts also sets up shop at the JFX Farmers Market in Baltimore. I had a small batch of their fresh donuts today. They are fresh off the deep-fryer/conveyor belt thing which is fun to watch. They are perfectly soft and doughy, and I like how you have control over how much glaze/powdered sugar/sprinkles you want. The line is usually long in Baltimore, but for good reason!

These made to order to doughnuts are delicious! Add your own toppings from white chocolate to Carmel and everything in between. I got mine at the 7th St farmers market on a beautiful Sunday morning. They are a super friendly family owned business. Be sure to bring cash!

Great service, really kind and fast working people here. Got the small bag of mini’s and they were fluffy, fresh, and hot with some powdered sugar! The Chocolate Cookie Donut was delicious and not crazy rich! There’s also Happy Hour time where you can buy the donut for $ 1!

Expensive… But worth the splurge. We bought half a dozen at the Eastern Market stand and it was $ 11. Considering the fact that DC does not have any donut shop gems, these donuts hit the spot. Deep-fried goodness. I tried the red velvet(which has fresh cut strawberries on top) and it was heavenly. If I didn’t feel so guilty, I would’ve ordered the Oreo donut, since that looked amazing as well. They also sell mini donuts in a bag that you can sprinkle your own toppings on(powdered sugar, chocolate syrup, etc.)

Took me a while to figure out DC-Donuts was Migues Magnificent Mini Donuts from the Baltimore Farmers Market. Yuummmmyyyy hot and I mean fresh & hot donuts. Ok Ok Ok. Fresh, Hot & Gooey pillow like donuts. Who can resist. Not me, not the Mr. and not the child. If I say Im going to the farmers market, my kid wants to go just for some of these little golden treats. She usually doesn’t care that Im going to be trekking her around all over looking for the best deal on crap she could careless about. The best part about the these fresh, hot, gooey donuts is… you get to top them yourself. They have powdered sugar, cinnamon sugar, chocolate sauce & sprinkles. So as much or as little as you like. And the cost is cool, 8 for I believe $ 4.00. They facebook page looks they they have several weekly spots to be found.

I’m so fat that my patronus is a doughnut. From the humble powdery, white Entennman’s to the lusciously layered and trendy cronut, it’s safe to say that I’ve consumed a lot of doughnuts in my lifetime. A few new favorites have popped into my life recently(I’m looking at you Distict Doughnut!) but I do have a soft spot for Migue who has been churning out the most perfect confections from his little doughnut conveyer belt at Eastern Market for several years now. Three or four dollars gets you six of the most perfect, tiny, delicate donuts that you can top with all of the honey, caramel, chocolate, and powdered sugar that your heart desires. When you order you may think that six is WAY more than enough donuts for two people to share but you my friend, are wrong. These donuts are so light that as soon as it hits your tongue it will melt so most likely you will want. Do yourself a favor and order their large doughnut box. It’s still a steal at the end of the day!

I was walking home with a few of my college sisters when we came across Dc-Donuts. I was not drunk… or at least not as drunk as the five walking beer kegs I was with. But whether we were drunk or not, it was agreed, Dc-Donuts hit the spot that night. The mini donuts that they sell are cooked in front of you through a fun to watch frying process and afterwards are sprinkled with sugar or the topping of your craving. I ordered the Maple Bacon Donuts. Who in their life has heard of a donut with maple and Bacon? I got my breakfast on and it was delicious. Alas, I have yet to find one of their carts near the area I live, and I have been without a maple bacon donut for two weeks. Woe is me… Woe is me, indeed.

Mini donuts are made fresh in front of you & you have the power to add on the toppings(ie powdered sugar, chocolate syrup, etc). The donuts are absolutely delightful and the perfect portable food to carry with you as stroll around the Eastern Market. I got a large bag and felt like it was MORE than enough to keep my hunger at bay and satisfy my sweet tooth! There’s plenty to share with your friends or significant other! Definitely worth a try if you’re at the market and are in the mood for something sweet!

When I stumbled on Dc-Donuts on a date with my boyfriend, I knew I had found a gem among coal. Let me make the metaphor clearer, I hate eating donuts. I’m a skinny girl and there is a reason for this, I don’t like oily fatty foods. But when my boyfriend and I arrive early for a movie we had time to kill and decided to eat something so we tried these donuts out. BESTDECISION ever. I was skeptical but I tried a donut for the sake of my boyfriend. We both ordered the blackout and OMG, it has oreos all over chocolate. Pure deliciousness in a little pastry. I didn’t try another donut but thats okay because I ordered another one to sneak into the movie with us. Definitely deserves 5 stars.

These are THE best donuts in DC. My fiancé and I always come super early so the donuts are fresh out of the oil — even so, they don’t taste super oily and are always crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside. For some reason, even eating 2 of these doesn’t make me feel overfull. My favorite are the Blackout donuts — they vary it seems per weekend — but generally are chocolate donuts with oreos on top. mmm mmm. The fiancé has also tried the maple bacon which was a very very close second to the Blackout. I do recommend the larger donuts to the donut holes. The donut holes come out plain and the customer can add sugar, sprinkles and sauces on their own. But, no matter how hard I try with the condiments on the side, I can’t get the donut holes to be as tasty as the large ones that they make for you.

Are you ready to eat 900 calories of deliciousness? The«Blackout» donut is a chocolate donut with white chocolate ganache on top with oreos. I mean just the sound of that… I could go for another one buuuut I immediately felt the urge to do some sit ups right after I ate it. It was delicate, fluffy and even though they were actually not even warm, I didn’t mind because of how deliciously good they were. It was $ 2.50 a donut which is on the expensive side. They also have mini-doughnuts, flavored donuts like red velvet, strawberry cream that you can get. Next time I will try the fresh made mini-donuts when they are piping hot.

I always walked past this place but didnt stop by because they only take cash and I figured they were price gouging donuts. I finally decided to stop by and give them a try. Yes they only accept cash but no they are not price gouging. I paid $ 3 for 6 donuts that were pretty tasty. I would def go back again. It’s a shame they only do biz at eastern market sat and sun.

Do you want to know why there aren’t more pics of these delectable delights? It’s because you can’t wait to snap a pic when these are placed in your palm! Waiting for them to drop into the hot oil and be fished out is torture enough, then wait for the slow-moving family in front of you to get out of the way so you can get to the powdered sugar… even more torture. Stopping to take a pic… no friggin’ way! TIP: If you found Migue’s in the flea market part of Eastern Market in the past, that is NOT where we found them this weekend. Thanks to a singing bowls guy(after almost losing hope), we were directed to BEHIND the food building of Eastern Market. For just $ 3, two of us enjoyed eight small round deliciously light donuts unlike any other anywhere. Back home in another state now, I would kill for a few of these right now!

*****3.5 stars ***** Good, but not ah-mazingly delicious as I hoped they would be. I finally got to try these donuts after visiting the Holiday Market for the past four years. The line was long, but it moved super fast. A small sign on the table tells you the cost of the donuts(small: 8 donuts for $ 3, large: 16 donuts for $ 5, and box: 40 donuts for $ 9). Decided on a large, which they kindly split it into two bags of eight so I can enjoy some later. Sprinkled both bags with powdered sugar and added chocolate syrup on one. Warm, soft, and not greasy. Good as a snack as you stroll down the market, but not something I would have to get each year when the market rolls around. Good? Yes. Magnificent? Not so much. Cash only.

Dude, Migue, you need to raise your prices! $ 2 for 7 delicious mini donuts, and $ 4 for a large(14ish miniDs) is not enough of a deterrent for me and my potentially expanding waistline! Also, if you’re a real donut lover, they will sell you a box of 40… Look at these little devils!( ) And you get to custom top them! White chocolate syrup, chocolate syrup, cinnamon, rainbow sprinkles and powdered sugar. I just got the powdered sugar and cinnamon because I’m a purist and I already felt guilty enough. Also, super disappointed that he ran out of the apple donuts early! Between watching the doughnut machine churn out perfect little rings, to the wide array of toppings, and making anything mini… I just got catapulted back to childhood. Grab fair trade, organic Zeke’s coffee for a couple bucks to accompany your fried fare. Last, but not least, it’s nice to see a smiling vendor at the end of a harried weekend day at the market. Good customer service, even though he was busy churning out little bags of fried goodness to the masses. LOCATION Eastern Market, north side on North Carolina near the aquatic center. They are here Sat/Sun, weather permitting. 4.5 stars
