Business Owner

eDiscovery Solutions’ Founder and CEO Michael Patrick Phelps is an energetic leader and strategic planner. Combining an extensive experience with valuable insight in the litigation support field, Mr. Phelps founded Discovery Copy Service, predecessor to eDiscovery Solutions, in 1995. As the legal community started transitioning to electronic data discovery, his business expanded to meet his clients’ needs, and in 2006 Mr. Phelps changed the name of the company to what it is today.

His management skills and approach have created a casual work environment where employees know they are respected and are rewarded for hard work. Through his visionary leadership, integrity, entrepreneurial spirit, and instinct, Mr. Phelps drives eDiscovery’s business growth as well as its culture. His strategy to focus on quality, not quantity has earned the gratitude of clients and helped the business survive though hardships of economic downturn.

Recently I had to print out approximately one million pages for school. eDiscovery came to my rescue — the ladies here are so friendly yet so efficient and dedicated to making your pages look perfect. Joanna showed me samples of the first few pages of what I was printing to make sure they were going in the right direction. They’re also really great about double checking which files you need, number of copies, etc. They do all sorts of printing, imagery, specialty custom work and beyonddd.
A gem tucked away in the James Madison building. They are the best!

I simply cannot say enough wonderful things about this place. If you are looking to print something, no job is too big or small for eDiscovery Solutions. They are simply incredible.
They are a wonderful, locally run business and headed by truly kind, caring and dedicated people. My emails at 8am and 10:45pm were answered within minutes, last minute changes were easily accommodated, and they even delivered the product.
Their prices are truly the best in the city as well. Where else can you get astounding service AND great prices AND in DC (which is notoriously very expensive). I did a lot of searching around, and this area does have a lot of wonderful print shops, which makes it even more of an accomplishment for eDiscovery to be truly the absolute best.
In sum: need a rush print job, a poster, high quality color brochures, black and white programs, something scanned and reprinted, a million CVs, beautiful handouts for a presentation, a last minute marriage proposal made using memes, or a simple, single black and white copy? And you don’t have a ton of money but somehow still expect solid service? eDiscovery can do it all! Support a local business that cares about its clients and does a fabulous job with their product.
I communicated with them primarily via email, but if you use their service in person, don’t be put off by entering the building. It’s gorgeous inside and there is a very… interesting picture of Monroe you’ll pass by on the way to the elevator. The person at the desk will take you to the floor, once you exit the elevator, head to your… right I believe, and you’ll see their offices. The facility is centered around printing, so don’t be put off since they don’t have a traditional storefront. The people there are so wonderful and ready to help you with whatever you may need.

I work in international development and my firm had a conference recently where we worked on preparing background materials late into the day on a Sunday. I needed more than a thousand pages color-​printed and bound for next morning and randomly hit up eDiscovery Solutions.
Michael P. was a life-​saver: very efficient and eager to help. I emailed him the material and picked it up a few hours later at about 9 pm all printed and bound. He stayed late to finish the job just how we wanted it. Made my life REALLY easy. Not many other places were open at that time of the day on Sunday– certainly not in downtown– and FedEx, etc, would have taken at least until mid-​day next day.
What’s more, I didn’t even have to pay Michael right away. He encouraged me to just get an invoice from him the next day and have our finance department give him a check a few weeks later (they take their time!). Michael was supremely patient and pleasant from start to finish. I encourage you to take your business to him for great and efficient service; he’s certainly going to be my go-​to vendor. =)

I needed to copy and scan some documents and being in the Foggy Bottom area, I did a Google search for places that could help me with this. The reviews I found on Google for eDiscovery Solutions far outperformed other copy centers like UPS and FedEx in the area. I thus came here, thinking it was just a copy store. It is not but regardless, Jo Anna was accommodating and was nice enough to let me do the necessary copying and scanning functions I needed here without issue.
eDiscovery Solutions is more than just for copying and scanning documents. If you need presentations made, or hundreds of documents printed, or more formal services, please check out eDiscovery Solutions. Not only is their staff knowledgeable and friendly, but they are clearly prepared for the biggest jobs, based on all the high tech stuff they have here. I clearly made a mistake in my search but based on the amazing service I have received here, I have no regrets about coming here.
