We have the largest (by far) selection of hand-made closed corner frames in the Washington DC area. Very high end conservation framing to Museum standards. We only carry rag matting, U. V Conservation and Museum Glass and Acrylic. Our client list reads like a who’s who of famous and collectors.

Established in 1989.
For 24 years, Frameworks has been the première Picture Framing Shop in the Washington DC area, with over 2,500 hand made closed corner samples.
A few of our attributes: Hand Carved, 23 karet gold, welded aluminum, handmade acrylic frames, only rag matting, only conservation glazing.

After serving as the manager of an art festival on the roof of the Kennedy Center for 2 years, living in the Virgin Islands for 12 years, I established Frameworks in Washington in 1989.
