This was by far the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed at. The front of the building is locked and you need a room key to get in, but how are you to do that when you haven’t even checked in? A guy eventually came to the door and took us upstairs in a little room to check us in and then walked us to our room. Reminded me of a scary movie. The room smelt like electrical burning, the sheets had a stain, was supposed to sleep 3 but that included the brick hard couch that my poor father had to sleep on. There were no extra blankets for dad and couldn’t find the man who checked us in because his office door was shut. I had to take a sheet off my bed for him. And he used his shorts as a pilloe. didn’t mind the noise from the street but some may. I turned on the bathroom sink and the whole sink moved, the carpet was stained. There were thumb tacks holding up the wallpaper behind the bed. I was very scared of getting bed bugs to be honest. Needless to say, it definitely was not worth $ 215 a night and I will never stay there again. Awful

Good points — In terms of location, this place is stellar. It’s right on Wisconsin Ave. and within walking distance of just about everything in Georgetown. — Excellent wireless reception. The connection is not secure though, so don’t do any banking while you are there. — These are suites, not just rooms. You get a separate bedroom, sitting room and kitchenette. — No rats or roaches(at least, not that I saw.) — Electricity works and there is running water.(Be prepared to let your shower run for a few minutes to let the water warm up though. It takes a long time.) — Granite countertops and marble tile in the bathroom. Looks quaint. Bad points — NO air conditioning. All of the windows open, which is quaint, but not particularly safe given there are fire escapes leading up to every room. The room was unbearably hot and sleeping was problematic because of the temperature. — No phone in the room. This is fine if you’re from the U.S. and you can use your cell phone. Not so great for out-of-country guests. — No working alarm clock. There was an alarm clock in the room, but it was completely kaput.(I used my phone on air plane mode as an alarm clock and that worked.) — Little to no service. Room was serviced once during the week. If you have trash related to food stuffs, save it for an outdoor trash can on the street. — No soap or shampoo. There was lotion and conditioner, but no soap products of any kind. Luckily, there’s a Safeway across the street so you can buy your own. — «Vanity kit»(2 Q-tips and a couple of cotton balls) were provided on day 1, but not replenished. Bring your own. — Carpets were worn and dirty. Wear shoes or slippers. — Laundry is only available on Saturdays. Through the rest of the week, the laundry room is locked. And there’s only one apartment-sized stackable unit. And the door on the dryer doesn’t close, which means it doesn’t work. Other important notes: — You pay prior to or upon arrival. I suspect that if you were to leave part way through your stay, you would not get a refund. — Stairs only. This venue is NOT accessible to anyone with a walker, wheelchair, knee issues or any mobility issues at all, actually. The stairs are fairly steep. Generally, I’d say that if you enjoy camping and roughing it in extreme weather, you’ll be just fine in this place. If you like service, comfort and a feeling that you are safe and secure, find another option.

The check-in process is strange and shady, I’ll give the other reviewer that. Still, this place is my go-to. It’s cute and the location is nice.

The hotel was … odd. It bills itself as a luxury boutique hotel — but what it really is is eight furnished apartments. Nice, tasteful, even stylish — but with no maid service, no doorman, no lobby, no elevator, no room service, and hardly any staff. They do empty the trash daily, but they don’t make the beds or straighten the towels in the bathroom. There’s a kitchen with a fridge and a microwave and a coffee pot and enough dishes for two people — and a supermarket across the street, and a Starbuck’s almost next door. If you’re looking for a fancy hotel with lots of amenities, this isn’t it — but it was $ 150 a night, with a Jacuzzi and very nice sheets. I’d go back.

Great location, lousy service, and really really cold water. I’ve booked my stay here twice and the location is definitely what makes it. It’s walkable to everything in Georgetown and is located on Wisconsin Ave, which has some great bus stops. The service is lousy. You pretty much have to call for SOMETHING every time. Either wifi password, extra sheets, etc. The water is also very cold. I noticed I couldn’t really get hot water out until I left the water on for about 15 min! That’s unbelievable considering it was August! The rates are also not that affordable considering what you get. It’s nice, but 3-star nice. If you’re there for a few nights and can manage, this place is not bad. But if you want to really enjoy your stay and are staying for a longer period, try working out a deal with somewhere else.

This is the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. There is no reception and the air conditioning doesn’t work. The owner is rude and almost frightening. The whole set up is shady!!! I would never want anyone to stay here and get conned. I left after one night because the air conditioning was broken in my bedroom on a 105 degree day in DC and they wouldn’t refund my money for the remaining nights. There are other reputable hotels that offer cheaper rates without the hassle of dealing with the owner and the sketchy hotel.
