History

Established in 2010.

After immigrating to the United States, Annie Leconte, nutritional chef and co-founder of Litestars, was struck by what seemed to be the popular, and only choice for American consumers — what she terms «fat foods». Over time, Annie realized there was a need for a healthier choice when eating outside the home. That’s when she began to study the feasibility of opening a restaurant designed to provide customers with a truly healthier alternative.

Annie envisioned a restaurant serving strictly healthier foods all-around. To this end, she developed gourmet salads and soups, based on her recipes selected for being healthier, to create a very unique menu; and as such was born the concept of LITESTARS.

The LITESTARS name was born from the shape of tartlets, which look like stars because of the notches in their edges, and because they are very light meals. By eating healthier foods, customers will be so light they will feel like «flying up to be a star in the sky».
