I made a quick decision to get my hair trimmed from a previous cut that I didn’t like all that much. I came in about an hour before they were closing, but they said no problem and were very accommodating. I had my haircut by Dolores and it is quite possibly the best shorter hairstyle I’ve ever had. I have wavy, thick hair and typically wear it long, but had chopped it off to donate in December. I was bummed with the hairstyle I had but now it’s layered, cute, and bouncy! I’m so happy they were able to take me on short notice and Dolores is AWESOME!

I think this is the first time ever that i got my hair done exactly how I wanted. I got highlights and haircut. Great serves!

I’ve had great cut and color by Rosemary four times and recommend her work unreservedly.
The reason I’m giving 4 stars instead of 5 is that it can be very difficult to contact her for an appointment. Several times I’ve been promised a call back when trying to make an appointment and never got a call. A pedicure appointment that I made was just straight up forgotten by the salon, even though it was on the books. So, they are unreliable. But when you can actually have an appointment, the service is great.

Great place! Rosemary has been cutting my hair since I moved to DC nearly six years ago. I can’t vouch for the mani/pedi’s or the waxing services since I haven’t used any of those, but they are a reasonably priced full-​service salon in the heart of the city. Rosemary always finds a way to make my chia head look respectable, and she’s always responsive to how short I want it cut and how I want to style it.

This is a cute salon located right in Woodley Park area. I would recommend taking the metro if you can’t find street parking. But we were lucky and found street parking on a Saturday. It’s located on Calvert. Once inside, it was very clean. They offer mani/​pedi services too. I’ll have to save this for next time.
Rosemary and staff are great! Very friendly, welcoming and just fabulous! I wanted a new look, so Rosemary gave me a great consultation, listening to what I wanted and suggesting what she thought would look good.
They have a great selection of magazines! Believe me, it was nice putting my iphone down for some reading. (I’ll admit it, I love reading the celebrity trash magazine so I was excited to see they had some!) It also gave to chance to flip through a few more options that I wanted to talk through with Rosemary.
She gave me a wonderful haircut and highlights! I was afraid with the rain and humidity that my hair would frizz up, but no! As I’m writing this, I should call the salon and ask what product they used. :) My boyfriend came along, so we took advantage and she gave him a haircut. He honestly said it was the best haircut he’d ever gotten. He loved it! No more barber shop for him. :) The whole experience was just really nice. It felt like we bonded with Rosemary.
Afterwards, because of the location, you can walk around, get a quick bite, and just go about your day. Thank you Rosemary and team for a wonderful experience! We’ll definitely be back!
