Gilda and Nura were so helpful and so nice! They helped me find the perfect bridesmaid dress for my best friend’s wedding! It was a really great experience. Also, I was a bit of a difficult customer because I kept calling and changing the dress style and they could not have been nicer. Could not recommend Gilda and Nura more!

The worst customer service you will experience. It’s as if they don’t want your business. Prices are way overpriced. And you have to ask them for the price also which makes it feel like a flea market. Save yourself the hassle and go elsewhere.

This is by far the most horrible customer service I have ever experienced. I was trying on a dress that was obviously 1 size smaller than what I needed. It fit me fine but it wouldn’t zip. I told the sales girl it looked nice but I would definitely need to lose a bit or order 1 size bigger. The sales girl (tall, skinny with dark hair) insisted on zipping the dress, which she did! Long story short the zipper got stuck in the fabric of the dress. She looked pissed as if it was my fault. With attitude she said, «Ugh, this has never ever happened before.» Well you insisted Lady! NOT MY FAULT.
I looked at other dresses and found a long one I liked, which need to be taken in abit and shortened. I asked her to give me an all inclusive price (alterations included). She said she would give me a good deal, but before she called her manager to get a price confirmation she would need to know if I was certain I was going to buy it. I said,“I’m interested in buying the dress but I need to know what she can do for me.” She eventually messaged her manager and gave me price I liked. I told her it was a good deal and I would now need to see her sramstress before moving forward. I asked if she was available to see me right NOW. The sales girl said, the seamstress wasn’t working that day. So I asked her when she can come in so I can come back and try the dress on. She then said «I don’t know, you have to call the seamstress yourself and make arrangements.»
I agreed but I said, I would come back when the seamstress can see me. She then said” I can’t keep it on hold for you.” I said, «That’s OK, I’m sure the dress will be here tomorrow.»
SHE THEN HAD THE AUDACITY TO SAY, I have to pay for the dress NOW because she already messaged her manager and got me a good price.
Excuse me!!!
How the hell am I supposed to buy a dress that doesn’t even fit me right? Just so you know, it’s your job to call the seamstress to make an appointment for me. I’m not in desperate need of this dress. I need to see if the alterations are possible first before purchasing $ 900 dress. If you’re not going to go the extra mile to pick up your phone and see her availability, then I’ll take my business else where.
So unprofessional!

Signature Boutique is sheer perfection! I came there for the first time looking for a gown for my very first pageant. It’s not only a wonderful dress shop but Gilda has THE impeccable eye for choosing just the right gown for her clients. She chose my very first gown that fit like a glove and also a fabulous one-​in-​a-​million show stopping Tarik Ediz. BOTH, I wore when I represented DC at the National Sweetheart Pageant. I’ve been a client of Signature for about a year now and I have to say I love the gowns and I love Gilda. Also the jewelry is exceptional. For every gown is a perfect pair of earrings, the perfect hair piece, or the perfect necklace to go with. I am a part of the Miss DC Scholarship Organization, and Signature is the place for anyone looking for a timeless gown! It’s the place I recommend to all my friends, pageant sisters, and colleagues. Also, there are a variety of styles from flapper, to classic, to regal. Signature gowns reflect a timeless elegance. Gilda is super kind and the consummate professional with the finest taste! With her expertise, she will make your next event the event of a lifetime.

There are so many more dress shops in the area. Go elsewhere.
The staff was exceedingly uninterested in making a sale. Their hours are listed on Unilocal but not their immensely unhelpful website, so I called to confirm their hours, to see if I could swing by to try on bridesmaid dresses, they were closing early. When I called the next day, they said they were closing at the normal time (8pm), and then abruptly asked if we were planning on ordering that day.
The shop felt shabby. Worn wood sagged and creaked with every step, and the musty smell was more reminiscent of a house-​turned museum than a high-​end dress shop. One of the other women in my group was already there, checking her phone, surrounded by both salespeople who sat next to her on the bench, also checking their phones, all looking incredibly bored. Ultimately, when the rest of the bridal party arrived, the two staff members left us to our own devices. When we finally came back around with questions, they seemed very put out. They insisted all the bridesmaid dresses in the product line were the same price («$ 179 – 199″– not true). When asked if an extra-​tall bridesmaid could order an extra-​long dress, said that it couldn’t be done (It can). Needless to say, we didn’t order our dresses from here.

I was there Saturday, May 16, 2015. I went with a friend who is also white. We are middle aged. The two store attendants were chatting and did not seem interested while we were browsing. Later 2 young black women came in and started looking at prom dresses. The older attendant, who is Palestinian, told the two young women they could not try any dresses without an adult. The girls were nice and said their mom was not available and that they were both 18 and 20 and had the money. The attendant was rude and continued to say they could not try anything on. That’s why I intervened and said that they were not minors and should be able to try dresses on without any issues. The younger attendant brought them the dress they wanted. When the older attendent saw that, she admonished her. While the two talked, I told the two young black women that we should record what was going on and that was clear racial profiling. They seemed confused. After I talked to them, I walked toward the exit with my friend and told the Palestinian sales attendant that the dress I wanted was not available and that I was going to have to find it online and call the store back with the number to see if they can get it. She then said «You have to pay first’l. That’s when I lost it and told her: «it is not ok to treat your customers like that, I saw what you did with those two young girls and let me tell you, that is racism, and you can get in big trouble». Then I left. I also told the story on Twitter and a woman said that store is known for only treating well rich looking people (and I would add white). So that’s the story.

A complete rip off and rude.

Most unprofessional store I have ever encountered. No one ever answers the phone or returns the messages you leave. The owner instead choses to respond by email and her response is spotty at best. I emailed her for 8 days asking for the price and size of a dress she had in stock and never got an answer. I am more than happy to take my business elsewhere to a store where I am appreciated. Shame on Gilda and Signature for their terrible service.

Absolutely gorgeous dresses to fit any occasion or budget! I went there with my sister to look for evening gowns for a family wedding and the selection was unparallel to anywhere else we had checked in the area. The staff was so sweet and helpful, offering their fashion expertise and going above and beyond to help me find that «perfect dress». Highly recommend to anyone looking for a premier boutique in the area!

Without a question the worst dress shopping experience I have had. Was forced to come here to get bridal party monstrosity (think lavender with flounces). Despite many promises that a size 16 could be remade into a size 4, the final product is badly constructed and ill-​fitting. And they failed to keep the first two appointments they made for me to come in and try on the dress. And they failed to attach the straps, so I am still here waiting.
Please do yourself a favor and never, ever set foot in this store.

Hello I would like to say I have been dealing with Gilda Owner of Signature for about 6yrs now and I have had nothing but fare dealings with her. I also had a Fur Coat on layaway for about two yrs and Gilda held it for me when she could have sold it. That speaks enough on the type of person and service you get shopping at Signature… Pauley Brooklyn

I’ve sat and read your reviews and it deeply saddens me that I’ve been had by this Business. I’ve had a very displeasing experience with many of the people who work in the shop. As mentioned before, promises were made that were not kept, getting a true price was stressful, time management was horrible, and most of all, customer service was extremely, extremely, extremely poor. I can not stress to you enough. Please do not do business with these people. If I could turn back time, I would have attended my event with a sheet. I’m not being funny at all. After, having a poor customer service experience in the beginning, I should’ve known that this was not to place to trust with my vision. I was charged without my permission and had to close my account. I really wanted to trust these people because the dresses were fabulous and you definitely walked away thinking that you would look fabulous in what they had to offer. After searching for more than eight months, I’d finnaly found some one to «help» me, but I’ve unfortunately come to experience unprofessionalism, poor customer service, and haggling on a Grand scale. Please, save yourself the stress and go with the next best idea. You won’t regret it. I will say, that after having a talk with one of the owners I was a little convinced that she was sorry for what happened and would make my experience with the shop a great one, fellow consumers, she didn’t keep her word. Do not use this shop. If there was a rating of –10, I would apply that instead of 1 star. This degrading experience became time consuming and increasingly stressful.
Do Not buy from Signature.
I would also like to add that they don’t work with computers. This day in age, what company doesn’t utilize a computer to handle business. I would understand if having it didn’t make a difference, but each time I called, they didn’t remember after I’d made a payment of $ 400 to get the process started. Once I reminded Gilda of who I was, she asked for my order number, the maker and style of the dress and when I came into the store. How is that for letting your customer know that you remember them and how important your event is to them? This happened many of times and she asked, please forgive me, we’re just so busy. How is it that you became so busy after taking my money? I included her name because I’ve read a couple reviews that says she’s a nice lady. Well, she pretended to be and told me how she does so many favors for people. I didn’t ask for any favors and clearly I dind’t have a good experietnce with her. It appears that I’m not the only one. Maybe she has good days, but from reading the reviews, they appear to be seldom.

I just called this place to see if they had a particular style dress in stock. The lady was like, «Yes, we carry that brand. Can you just come in and check it out? «Obviously, I was calling to see if they have the dress so it can save me a trip. So I told her to just check for me and she gave me an attitude as if she had to do me this favor. Lady, this is your job! Anyways, they have the dress in stock and I asked if they can give me a price. «Oh, we don’t give prices over the phone.» SERIOUSLY? So sketchy. She just told me to come in and hung up on me. Yea… don’t think I will even stop by there to check it out and give them my time and business.

I agree with both of the reviewers. The selection is great, and the staff is great also.
But the price! I was so pissed, falling victim to the classic «yeah the price is like $ 238 273 in store but it’s on sale for 84.»
Actual retail price of the tank top that I bought?
$ 89. I’m going to go back there and kick some ass. and then maybe buy another piece of clothing.
