History

Established in 2013.

In early 2012, Teach-​DC was merely a few lines of text typed up on an iPhone notepad while on a flight from Charleston, SC to Madison, Wisconsin. Before the flight was over, we worked to develop one vision:

Create a network of professionals who are willing to share their talents and knowledge with others within our local communities.

Teach-​DC was founded in 2013 and officially launched on April 17^th, 2014.

Our history, though short, is built upon a passion to provide a seamless platform for local professionals to promote themselves as instructors while maintaining the integrity of their craft. This is one of the reasons why we will never ask any instructor for a percentage of their lesson rates.

We believe in the power of education and recognize the importance of pouring back into the community.
