Specialties

Tie the Knot DC has been celebrating unions of loving couples since 2010, and each time the experience is just as blissful and exciting as the very first ceremony! I look forward to working with all couples to make your day extra special and just the way you envision it to be.

As your wedding officiant and planner, I will save you time and hassle by applying for and securing your marriage license in Washington, DC. I can accommodate a small, intimate affair all the way up to a large, extravagant wedding. Additionally, I am available to couples who prefer a quick signing ceremony.

My goal is to make sure your vision for this special moment is realized. I work with each couple individually on the exact verbiage of your ceremony and vows, with some couples choosing songs, poems, or inspirational quotes. I have experience working with all couples of all different cultures and traditions, which makes every wedding moment exciting and exhilarating.

If you do not see a package that meets your specific needs, I will work with you to make it happen.

History

Established in 2010.

I embarked on my wedding officiating and planning journey when best friends from American University asked me to officiate their wedding. I gleefully accepted their offer and was extremely humbled by their trust. I carry this moment with me every time I meet with a new couple and am asked to be a part of their special wedding moment! The union of two people in love is such a unique moment in which happy, positive energy encompasses the group, and I am reminded of how wonderful and blessed I am to be on this path of promoting endless love, one couple at a time!

I look forward to being a part of your journey of love when you Tie The Knot!

Meet the Business Owner

Travis C.

Business Owner

I grew up in rural, northwest Pennsylvania, living in the home my parents built situated on thirty acres of wooded land. Although I now consider DC my home, I visit my home (and my family) as often as I can.

I graduated from American University with a BA in Law and Society and a Masters in Public Administration. My passion was politics and prior to starting my own business, I was a lobbyist representing the interests of our nation’s medical schools and teaching hospitals. I remain very active in the political world volunteering my time and energy with a few non-profit organizations. Although, I now consider myself a Lobbyist for Love.
