This is now our go to place. We have tried every(or close to) pizza places in Oakville. And there are a lot. This place is someplace this should get less stars because of the décor — but why nitpick? The pizza is so good it doesn’t matter that it looks like Robert Irvine is going to take it over in any given moment! The pizza is like Pepes in New Haven. Get it thin and crispy. Wth fresh ingredients. Friendly and attentive staff. I can see why this has been in business for over 30 years!

A fan of the New Haven style pizza, I am not a fan of driving the distance and waiting in line to get one most times. Anthony’s is a nice thin crust, with a good sauce and fresh toppings pizza. There is always at least one good beer on tap. I also like the stuffed clam appetizer. It is a good solid pie!

Came here with my son last week. Best pizza i’ve had in the waterbury area. I work in new haven and this pizza is just as good as the places on wooster street. Also, my waitress was fantastic. Very quick and friendly. We will deff be coming back again in the future! Only draw back is they don’t deliver lol.

Crazy on a Saturday night, to be expected… They offer so many choices for your pizzas preparation«golden, crispy, or well done, thin, medium, or thick crust. one downfall is they do not offer slices of cheese for the kids… They did not give bread or anything while we waited, the kids where hungry and getting antsy Once the pizza came it was all good. The sausage and pepper pizza was fantastic. High quality toppings and their pizza sauce is one of the best! Even the cheese pizza had great flavor! Over all i will definitely be back.

Hands down the best pizza I’ve tried in the Waterbury area to date. You get your choice of crust style, all perfectly sauced, and a nice variety of appetizers from which to select. I’m a big fan of pepperoni, and theirs proves to be wonderfully crisp on baking. Even a pie featuring pepperoni, meatball and bacon doesn’t come out ridiculously greasy. And somehow even better — several craft beers, many of them local. The place is always packed on a Friday night and lots of foot traffic for carry out. You won’t be sorry you stopped by.

Recently tried Anthony’s after stumbling across is on a search on the internet. All previous times that i drove past Anthony’s it was closed, i finally realized they don’t open until 4pm. We order the stuffed mushroom appetizer and it was excellent. Next we ordered a large pie thin crust cooked crispy with sausage and mushroom. the pie came out and it looked very tasty. After the first bite i realized this was a top notch pizza. I have tried all the top places in CT and many others around New England, Anthony’s is gonna be my new goto pizza place. Don’t know how ever missed this place… can’t wait to go back.

So many pizza choices in the Watertown/Oakville area, sometimes it’s easy to overlook a world class pie. Hadn’t gone here for probably over 10 years. Not because it was bad, but back then they only took cash which was a hassle, and I just kind of starting going elsewhere. After driving by the other day and seeing the credit card sign, I decided to give it another try. Turned out to be a good call. They let you choose your crust type(thin, regular, thick) which is awesome, and I’ve tried them all… all amazing. They also let you choose how well done you want it from normal to crispy. For this re-visit we opted for a thick crust, crispy pie with a variety of meats. Pie was absolutely amazing. Cooked perfectly, super fresh toppings and a nice tangy sauce. Really delicious. We also went with the antipasto salad which was seriously one of the best pizza place salads we’ve ever had. We do salads with pizza often and many places just drop the ball there. Anthony’s did it right, again. Overall, its a must try. Even if you’re loyal to another, try this place once/once in awhile. Love it.

Was really excited to see a restaurant with a Gluten-free pizza. I have made a gluten-free pizza at home and love the«against the grain» brand frozen GF pizza. I was dying to try Anthony’s GF pizza. Sadly it has a cardboard crust and just awful. Don’t get your hopes up you will be very disappointed. I couldn’t eat it.

This is one of my family’s favorite pizza places in the area. We enjoy coming here on Saturday nights for pizza. The service is good. The pizza is delicious. I love the salami and cheese pizza.

wow, tremendous pizza coming out of this hidden family run authentic Italian joint in Watertown. My folks brought home some plain pizza and I had three slices several hours after it was baked but it was AMAZING. High quality blend of cheese, delicious sourdough crispy crust with a heavenly crunch, and lovely tomato sauce. Really a perfect slice in CT.

We’ve enjoyed the pies for almost twenty years — delish. The sauce on these pies is our absolute favorite — just the right amount of salt with quality tomatoes, nothing too sweet, too thick or paste-y. Delicious old school crust that is always fresh — never dry/stale. Anthonys KNOWSHOW to prepare a crust to order — thick/thin, well done/medium — it comes out perfect. I wish every new pizza place would just sample Anthony’s. Although you have to eat in house; not as good when you take it home. Excellent prices, limited wine choices.

You can’t beat the pizza… One of the best in CT. They offer you a choice on how you want your crust. I always ask for the golden. Small parking lot and a few spaces on the street, but well worth the effort.
