A little Bit about Max’s. In July1997 I took over the ownership of Max’s Deli. As a graduate of the Culinary Institute of America, I have used my skills to provide a variety of fresh entrees, side dishes, soups, sandwiches and exciting new salads on a daily basis. My staff and I can provide full service party planning and catering. We are available for a free consultation concerning the details of your next event, including the menu, rental package, and wait staff. As Always. There’s nothing really spectacular about this place. I go here whenever I’m passing by but Preakness deli is better on so many levels.
The sandwiches are overpriced considering there’s only an average amount of meat and filling that goes into them. Wait time is also average and they don’t have a big list of specialty sandwiches. Mediocre at best.

Hands down, the best taylor ham, egg, and cheese sandwich in a 10 mile radius. You can get it on a variety of rolls, but I suggest using the everything bagel. As evidenced by the picture, the sandwich was so hefty it nearly tilted the bike when I placed it in the saddlebag, so I took a quick bite out of that beauty to try to level the load before motoring off.
Service is prompt and friendly. Great selection of drinks in the cooler. The chicken cutlets are excellent, and all the side salads are tasty. I have not tried the catering, but will come calling on Max’s for food during the fantasy football draft season.
In a world full of mediocre chain eateries, Max’s is a bastion of flavor, come support the independents and be rewarded with great food.

Food is great. Service is great. The sandwich I ordered was ready in less than 4 – 5 minutes. The place looks. Prices are fantastic. Everything smells and tastes fresh. Great variety of drinks, soups, sandwiches. Only down-side is they only have the smaller sandwich rolls… but I’ll definitely be back regardless!

What can you say about Maxs deli. This deli I have been coming to since I was a young kid. It has not always been the same owner but with the current owner came better food. He is a chef and offers a great variety of options. He does a great catering and party menu. Prices are not bad. Cold cuts are good. No seating inside. Fresh bAgels in the am and a very small hot lunch selection up front. They do not have long rolls if your are looking for a sub, only round. Story was it has something to do with the blimpie located a few stores down. Doesn’t bother me! Good selection. Call ahead service and great catering and party menu. Will continue to stop in here for a good breakfast sandwich or lunch sandwhich when in the area. If you don’t see it on the menu just ask, the owner will make it for you most likely. The sloppy Joe is a massive tasty Sandwhich, a must try. landmine is the next one to try!

I always drive by on my way to work. So I figured I’d give them a shot for breakfast. I’m glad I did. Friendly staff which is always nice first thing in the morning. I decided to go with the breakfast sandwich and it was great. They had a large selection of drinks which it was nice to see the variety. I can’t wait to try them for lunch.

Awesome staff! Fresh and fully stuffed sandwiches. We had the land mine (corned beef, turkey and ham) and the torpedo (ham, salami, provolone). Both were delicious! Glad I have this place a try!
