Our room was beautiful with a huge updated bathroom and fireplace! The best part was the history of the house itself and the current owner can tell you all about! When we first arrived she gave us a tour of the entire house which was really nice! She was very helpful with recommendations for local activities. At night she provided wine and cookies by the fire before we went up to bed. There was a cold selection of foods for breakfast: yogurts, fruit, pastries etc. she also offered to cook eggs and bacon for my husband who prefers a hot breakfast– he said the food was good but left a little to be desired. We would stay here again for sure.

My roommate and I visited Cape Cod for Labor Day weekend and we stayed at the Rose room of the Bursley Manor. It’s in a quiet neighborhood and close to some of the big townships like Hyannis. The room was absolutely beautiful and well decorated. The bath tub is also a Jacuzzi and great for a relaxing warm bath after an exhausted day trip. Sheila was a great host, very friendly, attentive and helpful. We did not do much research before we came so we had no idea where we should be visiting. Sheila had a lot of brochures and magazine that give us great suggestions. When we asked about the ferry schedule to go to Martha’s vineyard, she printed it out a few options for us and circled the price and location for us. So nice! Oh and not forget about breakfast. It was like a feast! A hundred times better than a continental breakfast you get at a hotel. Yogurt, muffins, bread, cereals, assortment of fruits, and also Sheila will make you eggs and breakfast meat according to your preference. Overall it was a pleasant stay and I will definitely come back!
