If you ever run into a damaged hard drive (I wish this on no one), this place has to be your first stop. Totally professional, reasonably priced and LEGIT! My hard drive fell and became completely incapacitated. I literally searched up and down Unilocal looking for an affordable solution — since most of the other places were charging $ 1500 just to look at it (no guarantees of anything). This place looked at it free of charge and literally told me the TRUTH (which wasn’t good in my case). They didn’t try to get my hopes up and they didn’t lie to me. UPFRONT AND HONEST. On top of it, they gave me suggestions on what I could do or where else I could try. NO CHARGE. And they do have a promise that if they can’t retrieve it, they don’t charge. In my case, there was nothing I could do. And while yes, there were tears of despair, they were super sensitive to my tragedy and the fact that they were honest, not money hungry and professional was all I could ask for. Any hard drive issues — this is your spot.

A friend of mine recommended Konicom. The hard drive in my laptop was making a clicking sound and was no longer working. I got a reasonable quote and they thought they might be able to save my photos and files. I gave the ok to have them send out my hard drive. In less than a week they were able to tell me my photos and files were unable to be retrieved after two donor drives were damaged immediately after trying to get the hard drive to work. Not the news I wanted to hear. Unfortunately I had not backed up my photos or files. I had just started transferring my files from my laptop to my new desk top. This was a costly lesson since I lost all of my photos and files from the last 5 years.
I would recommend Konicom. The staff is courteous and helpful. I appreciate the fact that I was not charged for them to look at my hard drive. Since they were unable to retrieve any of my photos and files I won’t be charged a fee. I hope I won’t ever have to go through this again but if I have to I will come back to Konicom.

Last night my flash drive crashed and I was devastated because I had important documents (for those in the teacher credential program know about tpas) so I wanted to die because I had everything in that flash drive. I drove from Santa Ana to West Covina to see if there was a miracle. I asked them that I needed it today as it was an emergency… less than two hours I received a the best call of my life! They fixed it! the tech guy was not there so the staff called someone else from their headquarters!!! I’m so happy thank you for saving me from starting my work again!!!

Had the worst scenario happen with my external hard drive. Googled and found Konicom on Unilocal and gave it a try and I’m glad I did! While it was pricey, they were able to recover 100% of my data at their Sacramento location and now I’m good to go! I really hope I won’t have to use them again, but it’s nice to that they can save your day!

My hard drive failed on which I had stored all my families photos. Kids growing up, birthday parties, holidays, vacations you name it. After getting over the initial sick sinking feeling that I had lost everything I took the hard drive to Konicom. Within 15 minutes they diagnosed the problem and said the images were still there and they could copy them to a portable drive for me. Needless to say I was so relieved that not only my family pictures were saved (priceless) but also all important documents, and backup files as well (beyond priceless). Thank you Konicom! In one day I had the entire contents of the failed hard drive copied to my portable drive for safe keeping. I would never have taken my hard drive to Bestbuy, Staples or Fry’s simply because they would send it to a third parry contractor. Konicom does everything on site with Konicom technicians who specialize in saving your data.

After almost 10 years of saving pictures, videos, music, and personal documents, my 1.5TB Seagate external hard drive finally took a dump. No I never backed up my back up too. Fail!
I went in to get quotes at a couple mom&pop shops, Bestbuy, and Fry’s, and they wanted to charge $ 100 just to look at it. There would be risk of damaging the disk drive since they needed to open it and they couldn’t even promise to recover at least some of the data. My external drive starting collecting dust for a few months.
So after shopping within the Eastland Center, I saw in big letters this store «Data Recovery» and decided to bring in my drive. Brian was great help to me and described what he needed to do. He also gave me quotes up front and has a no recover no fee charge which is what I was looking for! After 1 hour he called and said he can recover all of my data and I quickly gave him the green light! After I gave him my new external hard drive, all my files were transfer by the next day.

My laptop died suddenly and I brought my laptop to Konicom to fix. At the very least recover my data. All my wedding and engagement pictures were all on this laptop and dork that I am, did not have them backed up. Konicom was amazing at getting all the data back. They figured out what was wrong with my laptop — my hard drive had died and recovered all my data. They even helped me disassemble the laptop and install my new hard drive! These are amazing people to work with. They know what they’re doing and they’re good at it.
