Elite Running

Came here on a saturday and was immediately helped. I called maybe like an hour before i came to ask if they had spikes. They asked what size and what event i did. When i arrived, a male worker (never got his name) already had the shoe ready for me and gave me a great price on them. Theres a student discount and at that time, there was a sale on those shoes. I ended up getting another pair of spikes that fit better for me but what i love was how nice the worker was. They have a 10% student discount there. I highly recommend this place.

Came to Elite Running for the first time yesterday to buy a pair of 2XU compression tights. Aaron and Marissa provided me with really great and friendly customer service. I didn’t get to take a look at the entire shop because i was in a rush but i definitely look forward to returning to Elite Running in the future.

The sales girl today was very knowledgable, professional and polite. She patiently listened to what I was looking for, analyzed my foot and educated me at the same time. I found out I have been buying the wrong type of shoe for my feet all these years. They even helped me keep an eye on my kids and kept them entertained so I could take my time, shopping in peace. Thank you to the amazing staff.

Instead of going to a big-​box store, I decided to check out this place. As my family and I walked in, we were greeted by Aaron and Marissa. Immediately Marissa was eager to assist me. She analyzed my arch and the way I walk/​run/​jog. She recommended several running shoes and brought them all out for me to try. She was very patient, helpful, and knowledgeable. Not only did I try the shoes on but I was able to test them on the treadmill. I was very happy with my choice and left the store with a peace of mind. Aaron & Marissa provided an excellent customer service that you probably will not get in a big-​box store. Thank you Marissa for your assistance.

I needed a new pair of shoes for the Nike Women Half Marathon. I’m so glad there’s a running store closer to home now and I didn’t have to drive to Pasadena or the IE. I got help from Aaron who analyzed my arch and offered a selection of running shoes. He was very easy to talk to and I felt he was genuine in wanting to help me get the best fit! He also told me of the deals which I appreciate because I don’t pay for the full retail price. Great place & staff and I’ll definitely come back in the future.

Marisa was great help today! They analyzed my arch and recommended shoes based on my needs. The staff was super knowledgeable and they had great selection. I will definitely be coming back to them when it’s time for a new pair.

Aaron and his girlfriend were great! They helped us find the shoes we were looking for. First, they had us check our arch type. Then we were told the types of shoes that will best suit our feet. My boyfriend ended up buying some new Brooks and got a killer deal on them. Aaron told us about the Unilocal deal when we check in which is $ 10 off and then the shoe ended up being on sale as well. We will definitely be back soon to get some accessories and when I’m due for new shoes then I will definitely go there for them.

My friend and I were helped by Diego. Diego was extremely knowledgeable in running footwear as well as the biomechanics of running. He gave us multiple types of shoes to try out and was very patient and answered all our questions. Give this dude a raise!

A policy was explained to me about a new adidas running shoe I purchased for my daughter. The midsole was guaranteed for a year. After about 4 months training with the shoes my daughter was having knee pain. I attempted to get the shoes replaced.
The owner quote me «I’d be out of business if I replaced your shoes!». This policy was explained to me by both the owner and a salesman, Brandon. If this is not the policy then don’t have your salesperson and the owner state it to me on several occasions. I had huge reservations about purchasing Adidas but they convinced me. Even the sales person Brandon said he was highly recommending this shoe to all his cross country athletes.
Would not recommend this store for purchase, especially not for their customer service.

Picked up a great pair of running shoes! Aaron was so nice and made sure I was buying the right shoes. He took the time to help me try on several pairs and was very knowledgeable about his product.

I had a not great experience at this store. Wrote to the e-​mail that was provided by the clerk, hoping for acknowledgement if not an apology. Got neither. I am going to post the message I sent as it explains my experience.

I was in your West Covina store when it first opened and had a nice conversation with the owner. Because of this I asked for a gift certificate to the store for Christmas. I really wanted to support a local small business. My brother did mention when he gave me the gift that the sales person was a young man that seemed to not be very knowledgeable. I didn’t think much of it as I was hoping to encounter the owner again.
Came in today (my birthday) to purchase shoes when I got there the sales person Brandon was in the back; when he came up front he did not acknowledge my presence in any way; much less ask if he could help me.
Finally I went up to him to ask if he had any suggestions. Let him know my current shoe was a New Balance 890. I was told «we don’t have anything like that». Okay – so what are your suggestions. Didn’t have any. Asked him if they do the test on the treadmill. He asked me if I had been tested before; said yes I was told I was neutral though I had a store put me in stability (because of my weight) but had issues when I wore them. Was told if I had been tested before your store will not test again.
Okay – so I asked what shoe he had in a Womens 10.5−11. Was told he would have to check. Came back and said you didn’t have anything I would want only heavier/​stability shoes. Okay – so I told him I had gift certificates and if you didn’t have anything in the store could I cash those out. Was told no that could not be done, but that they could order my size. Though he didn’t really have a suggestion on what shoe. I asked when the owner would be in and was told as they are the owners they only come in when needed and he didn’t know when that would be. Did offer to give me this e-​mail address.
Told him to just bring any shoe that you had in my size. Was brought out 3 pairs of shoes. When I tried them on he did not offer to have me get on the treadmill to try them out so I walked around the store for a minute or so. Asked what your return policy is. Was told once you buy them and leave there are no returns. I have bought shoes at several running stores and have always been able to return as sometimes when you go on a real run is when you find that the shoes are not ideal. Running shoes are quite pricey to not have a way to exchange if they do not work for you.
Decided to buy 2 of the 3 pairs just so I could use my $ 225 of gift certificates. I did this because I never wanted to come into the store again. The worst thing is that I felt I rewarded his bad customer service with a purchase. If I had not had the certificates I would not have made a sale, which did not seem to be of importance to him.
As I was checking out he did apologize for the return policy, but said it wasn’t his. To be honest at that point the return policy was the least of my frustrations. I did mention to him that it would be a really good thing that when someone comes into your store that he should actually greet them and ask if he could help them. Also suggested he offer to test on the treadmill. He said they don’t do that if you have already been tested. It would be nice to be offered it, a customer can always decline. My words seemed to have no effect whatsoever.
I just can’t express enough how disappointing my buying experience was. I expect nothing for myself with this e-​mail, but hoping maybe you will do some re-​training so that someone else may benefit in the future. As for me, I will stick to Snail’s Pace in the future.

«I have no recommendations and every foot is different is what the brilliant tool working at the time said to me. What a waste of time and horrible experience. Was hoping to get a good pair of running shoes from a highly recommended store like Elite Running.
Hopeful the tool that was working will read this and get his shit together and read up on customer service and most importantly learn how to greet when a customer walks into his store.

This place is very cool. Nice environment and the staff is super helpful and well informed about the products. The few times I’ve been here I question why this place isn’t packed yet?! Anyways I give this shop 5 stars! Love it!

Finally a nice little running shop in the neighborhood. Let me start by saying that the staff is friendly and do their best to try and answer any questions one might have. The selection is what you expect from a running store. A treadmill to address the right shoe and gear for your run.

I was in the market for a new pair of running shoes. I actually needed to be refitted for shoes. I was previously fitted for shoes at a different running store but since then I found out I was running with my back and hips out of alignment. The shoes worked great but now that things are back in their proper place, I was due to be refitted. I was surprised by how young the guy working there was but he seemed to know his stuff. I was very interested in the Asics Gel Kayano shoes. They had them in stock, but I couldn’t decide on what color I wanted (I’m such a girl) and left with the intent to return when I made my decision. I ended up buying an older generation Asics Gel Kayano shoe online but referred by parents to the store. They too were very impressed by the young man who helped them out. They love their new shoes so much that they are already referring their friends. The only negative is the store hours. I wish they stay open a little later. Either way, good customer service, good music playing, and good shoes. I feel really bad for not buying my shoes here but since I’ll need to buy another pair of shoes at the beginning of the year, I can just buy the shoes then.

I was happy to find a running store local to me. There was a nice selection of shoes, clothes and other running gear which were reasonably priced.
The only person working was a young kid who seemed like he didn’t want to be there. I asked him about the store and whether they had a running group and I just got quick one word answers. I was interested in the running group but the guy there wasn’t helpful at all which Is unfortunate since I’m looking for local running peeps to train with.

Finally, a running store close to home. My first impression was that the store is clean, organized and had alot more than just shoes. The store has Kinesio tape, various mobility tools and rollers, hydration belts, socks, clothing, running magazines, energy gels and bars. In addition, they have a treadmill you can use to give your next new shoes a run in. A big plus is that they carry Hoka and Altra running shoes, which many stores fail to carry. I got to pick up my first pair of Hoka Cliftons here thanks to Elite. From the minimalist to the maximalist runner, they have your shoe. Lastly they have a run group that meets up in the evening at local park for those looking for a group to run with and get motivated. Help support local business and give these guys a try.
