Established in 1991.

EyeCare Associates Optometric Group was founded by Michael Morris, O.D. and David Hill, O.D. on one simple premise. That was to provide the best Optometric care available to the residents of West Covina and the East San Gabriel Valley. They accomplished this by combining their decades of experience in Optometry practice with the latest computerized diagnostic techniques.

To this, they added a dedicated, professional staff, a full-​service optical lab, and a beautiful eyewear boutique. All of these ingredients provide you with the finest-​quality eye care available.

Dr. Michael C. Morris, Optometrist

Michael Morris, O.D. attended UCLA and graduated in 1971 with a degree in psychology. While there, he taught at the UC Fernald School, in the area of developmental psychology. He attended the Southern California College of Optometry and graduated with honors, receiving his Doctor of Optometry

in 1975.

Dr. Morris has been in practice in West Covina since 1977. He is a member of the American Optometric Association (AOA), COA, and the Contact Lens Section of the AOA. He is a noted optometric lecturer on contact lenses and practices general optometry, specializing in contact lenses and refractive laser management. Dr. Morris lives in West Covina. He is married with 2 adult children.

I was comfortable during my quick visit with the optometrist, Dr. Bun. While taking my sweet time choosing frames, I didn’t feel the last bit rushed. They even helped me choose ones that fit my budget and favored my unique features. Excellent staff! Won’t be going anywhere else for my eye care needs.

Dr. Bun and the staff are great! Everyone was kind, professional, and patient. I started off with a good impression since Grace (I think) was very nice about scheduling an appointment for me and explaining how my healthcare factored in etc. The assistant (can’t remember his name) that checked over everything for me before the actual exam was really courteous and explained everything he was going to do with each machine etc.
As for the exam, talk about thorough. Dr. Bun checked absolutely EVERYTHING, not just vision tests but the overall health of the eye. She noticed I did have a little issue with dry eyes and even offered me a little sample of what she prefers for eye drops!
Overall, color me impressed. Great staff, nice location, no complaints whatsoever. My new optometrist forever.

Let me start off by saying these guys here are the best. I have been coming here since I was a little boy. The use to be in a small office off of Gelndora Ave. I have seen Dr. Hill ever since and now 30 years later I still am returning here to have my eyes checked. Dr. Hill is now retired so my optometrist now is Dr. Bun. She really has shown exceptional care and attention towards her patients. Unfortunately for me after the first time seeing her my right eye came down with Herpes Zoster so she had to take care of that for me. She went above and beyond what was needed to be done and she helped with the supportive care of my eye until I was able to be seen by an ophthalmologist which I truly believe helped save the sight in my right eye from being permanently impaired. I am so thankful for all the support and care I have received from Dr. Bun and the Eyecare Associates Team. I will continue to come here to have my eyes taken care of and will not hesitate to recommend all my family and friend too!

First time here. The staff was very professional and friendly. Dr. Morris was very personable and knowledgeable, explained to me in details and answered all my odd questions.
Special shout-​out to Erik for helping me select my new frames.
The location was a bit difficult to find, and I got lost, but it’s a nice location inside the plaza building.

I can’t say enough good things about the staff here. All very professional, helpful, and patient. Their service is top notch and very accommodating. Dr. Bun was patient and knowledgeable. She did a phone consult with me when I couldn’t make it to my appt. Grace was amazing. She took the initiative to look thru my file and checked my insurance to get me extra benefits that I didn’t even know that I was entitled to. That was above and beyond! Lisa listened to my needs and did extras to assist me with an insurance issue. Jinnie listened to my problem when I couldn’t make it to my appt due to last min work and was able to get the doctor to call. Lavy gave me her expert advice on what products I should go with and really accommodated me with my specific needs. The prices may be a bit on the high side, but the excellent service of the staff makes it worthwhile. If u have the means to get a great pair of glasses or insurance to cover eye care, I highly recommend this location. There is ample parking. Located next to Wells Fargo and nearby the Edwards theatre.

Rude receptionist! I will not do any business with them. The receptionist can’t use or hesitant to use my husband’s social security number to pull out our insurance information and I already told her that we don’t have member ID (insurance company never gave us one).

First visit with my 5 year old son and it was AWESOME! We were lucky enough to get a same day appointment… with no wait time. We saw Dr. Bun, and she was very detailed. Explained to my son what she would be doing and was very patient with him. She also explained in detail the test she did on him and results. Great experience overall… so great I text friends and family that they must go there. By the way great selection in glasses.

Love this place! Dr. Morris is awesome, takes his time and really gets to know his patients. I’ve been coming here for 8 years now. He has great associates also, Erik helped me this time and he spent time showing me like 50 glasses. Didn’t feel rushed at all. I’ll keep coming here.

I finally found a place that I will actually go back to. I called the office and received an appointment the same day which I thought was really awesome. The whole staff is welcoming and kind. Doctor Morris was excellent. He answered all my questions and I actually learned a lot from my eye examination. I was far from feeling nervous. The optician Erik was super cool. He was honest and VERY patient with me. He helped me find the perfect pair of specs. I was happy with my service. I can finally see!

I had an excellent visit with Dr. Bun and Optician, Erik Zuniga. Erik ran the tests on my eyes. I was really nervous about the test with the eye puff, he made sure I felt secure before the tests. Dr. Bun was very kind and helpful. Erik was really patient with me while helping me choose a frame. Overall, great visit with helpful, patient people. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

First appointment went very smoothly and efficiently! Dr. Morris was very friendly and did a thorough exam, explaining every procedure with the full terminology and answering every annoying question I had. I could tell he was very passionate about his profession, which made me very comfortable conversing with him.
Erik also was very helpful and friendly, making my decision on which frame to get much easier than I expected. His feedback as to what looked best wasn’t forced or fake and he was very easy to talk to as well. The staff and friendly/​knowledgable environment made my visit well worth it. (:

Made an appointment, got in the next day. Saw Doctor Morris and I really enjoyed the experience. He answered all of my questions, was incredibly personable, and really seemed to care about getting my prescription perfect for me.
Went back later to pick out frames. I believe the associate who helped me was named Erik. Also very personable, gave me good feedback on which frames looked good on me. Even honored a $ 25 off Unilocal deal on the balance remaining on my frames and lenses after insurance.
I don’t believe I’ve ever had such an efficient and satisfying experience at the eye doctor. Would recommend this place 10/​10, and wouldn’t hesitate to go back.

I was referred to this office so I made an appointment. It’s located across from Edward’s Cinema in a big building that is shared with several other companies. There’s a lot of available parking. Their office is on the first floor next to the Wells Fargo ATM Machines just up a few steps. It’s very convenient because they have an entry in the front of the building adjacent to the Wells Fargo ATM Machine and there’s also an entry inside the building.
I was greeted immediately by the Front Desk Girls as soon as I walked in. It is always nice to feel welcome so Brownie Points for them! The office is very nice and clean. I was seen by Dr. Thear Bun. She is so sweet and extremely helpful. She went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable with the glasses I was potentially trying to get. Picking out new glasses is overwhelming and sooo time consuming and she was really patient with me. I think I tried on every available frames there! LOL I hate to feel rushed and that I’m taking too long to pick out what I want but she let me go through all of their selections. She was working at a desk nearby so when I had questions, she was able to help me right away. I love LOVE my new GLASSES!!! They have so many selections of High End and affordable glasses there. They even mentioned if I saw a specific frame I liked somewhere else, they could order it for me if they carry that brand in their office. She also helped me pick the most comfortable contact lenses and I am absolutely happy with them! Everything was ready in one week. Amazing!
I love companies that make me feel welcome and are willing to go out of their way to help me. They have great Customer Service so forever I will be a loyal customer.

I was here on January I like this place very professional and friendly my little girl got some glasses and her eye exam Dr. Bun was very nice and patience with my daughter.
Unfortunately she recently broke her glasses but I will definitely recommend Eye Care Associates to anyone I had a great experience.
