The service is good but the food is okay. The macaroni need a little bit more seasoning and it’s kinda blend. The katsu is okay. Overall it’s an okay food.

I’m glad I decided to peak inside this food court located in Hong Kong plaza. The food court itself is attached to the plaza’s grocery store. This whole place seems kind of out of place because there are a lot of stores that are just empty or that look like they are being renovated. But this place was definitely open! The lady working was very friendly and pleasantly offered her recommendations. But the question I want to answer is: does it beat L&L or any of the other Hawaiian bbq joints that are around? Unfortunately I would say no. And the reason is because the devil is in the details… for example the rice was quite dry and overdone. The staple macaroni salad was sort of bland. And the short rib meat for some reason had a very slight pungent taste which wasn’t super overpowering as to ruin everything, but it was also hard not to notice. All in all, 3⁄5 and that is only because of the friendly service.

Hawaiian food, flavors and spirit were absent here. I really wanted to support this place but it was difficult to. Service was slow and the food was absolutely bad. I had the teriyaki chicken and my friend had the beef combo plate. It took over 30 minutes for us to get our food and there were no other customers before us. My chicken was dry, hard and very salty which left a bad after taste. There are other better tasting restaurants in the area, and I don’t recommend this place. Don’t be fooled by the fake reviews here.

I LOVETHISPLACE. I go here somewhat frequently whenever I’m home from school during breaks – they have such good food at decent prices(esp. important if you’re a broke student like me). I always get the spam musubi(all musubis are $ 3 for 2). This is the only Hawaiian food place in the area, I think. Not a lot of people know about it because of the location, but the food is really delicious(the sauces they use are seriously addicting). I also recommend the shrimp, BBQ chicken/beef, and chicken katsu. The portions are BIG. And not just filled with rice, either – they pack on the meat(YUM). The owners /people working here are also super nice and friendly. Service is A+.

I love this place. As soon as i seen spam mushubi on the menu I was hooked. If u want Hawaiian food you need to check it out. The food is yummy and the price is good for the amount of food ur getting. Also it’s made to order so it’s fresh. Katie is friendly and if it’s your first time and you don’t know what to order she recommends the mix plate so you get a taste of everything. If you are in the area stop by and check it out. You won’t be sorry-:-)!

UNBIASEDREVIEW. This review is from someone that loves Hawaiian food and knows the best areas to get hawaiian food are in Torrance and Gardena, and of course in Hawaii. This place, sorry to say is NOTONO. Chicken Katsu is really thin. The meat is, chewy, stringy and taste weird. The sauce is watery and not thick like at most hawaiian places. Mac salad needs way more mayo, more flavor. A bit bland. Rice is hard. Kinda like Chinese Vietnamese broken rice. For a Hawaiian place, this place offers no kahlua! This place is more focused on Chinese Hawaiian. The best part, the cashier was very nice. Oh and portion size is good.

You have to try the combo mix! chicken is tender and flavorful and the short ribs are amazing. Great service and friendly staff, so much to choose from but one also to try is the spam masubi. Not a lot of good Hawaiian food places, tried a lot before and I’m impressed. Will be coming back! Thanks Ohana grill!

Sooooooo good! Especially the service. The lady was really cool and genuinely nice! The restaurant and the nice lady at the counter were far more inviting and welcoming than the other restaurants in the vicinity. The food was delicious, with generous portions, & all at an affordable cost. I came with 2 other friends, we all ordered different dishes, and everyone was completely satisfied. The BBQ chicken soup was flavorful and was exactly what I was craving on this brisk winters night. My friend devoured his Katsu Chicken &BBQ beef, & my other friend was happy with her BBQ chicken meal. Overall, really satisfied with the food and impressed by the service. I will will most definitely come back!

After visiting the Hong Kong food court for the first time, my sister and I found a delightful venue that specialized in Hawaiian BQQ. Ohana Grill is delicious and affordable. We each ordered a meal combo consisting of BQQ chicken & beef(one including galbi) that came with an amazing sauce. Each portion had perfectly steamed rice & cabbage along with some macaroni salad. The meats were tender and went with the rice perfectly. It is obvious that the chef puts time and effort into the food. Ohana Grill may look like a place to grab a fast cooked meal in reality it is far beyond and above that. What really stuck with us was the impeccable service we recieved at Ohana Grill, it was kind, helpful, and absolutely amazing. We look forward to visiting Ohana Grill again and reccomend that others too try it out. You won’t regret it!

This place is located in the HK Plaza Food Court. As I approached the food counter, a super nice lady handed me a menu so it would be easier to order instead of looking up at the menu above my head. The menu consisted of the basic Hawaiian dishes like chicken katsu, teriyaki, spam musubi, etc. The prices are good for the large portions you get. And for those small eaters, they have mini meals for you. I ordered the curry chicken katsu and the spam musubi. They cook the food fresh so there was about a 10 minute wait. Their curry had a kick to it and was delicious. As for the chicken katsu itself, it was really crispy and piping hot. I recommend the chicken katsu! Even the katsu sauce that they had was good. It was balanced with the meat. The curry chicken katsu meal came with some rice, steamed cabbage, and some macaroni salad. All tasted fresh and tasty. Since this is a new business, I hope that they later offer desserts and maybe some fresh fish dishes like poke! But all in all, I would come back again and recommend this place to everyone!

Up in the West Covina area helping my mother in law move and was in search of some big delicious portions to refuel before the drive back to Orange County. Enter Ohana Grill. For only $ 8 I got a mix plate that came with kalbi, bbq beef, and bbq chicken, rice, mac salad,.and a drink. Whoa! This is a meal sized for a big brahdah! Really reminds me of the choke sized portions I used to get back in Hawaii. everything was cooked perfectly, juicy chicken, tender bbq beef and the kalbi wasthe quality you’d expect at a much more expensive Korean bbq joint. If you’re hungry and in search of a plate lunch big enough to feed a small family, Ohana Grill is the perfect spot. I’m sure I’ll be back when i’m back up in the area.
