This really is as good as it gets… financially speaking. I was referred to Steve Bruner, CPA at this firm when I finally decided that being completely anxious about taxes AND 8 months pregnant AND potty training was not good for anyone. I live in Texas, but own property in Iowa, so I was looking for someone in the DsM area. I was apprehensive about handing over my financial information (and tax liability) to a stranger, but Steve is everything you want in an accountant. Smart, funny, prompt, competent. I asked a bunch of (ignorant and useless) questions and Steve had an answer for each one. He and his firm are extremely reasonably priced and likely found WAY more deductions in my taxes than the fee he charged – so I’m sure I came out ahead. He ALSO likely kept me out of trouble with the IRS given the complicated tax situation we were facing this year.
Taxes? No fun. But working with Steve makes taxes a lot less horrible. And that’s saying a lot. We will absolutely use Steve next year and I look forward to pumping this kid out for an additional tax write-​off.
