Two words: First word: unassuming Second word: heeeeeeellllll yeeeessss! Okay okay… that’s two words. This saloon was an absolute delight to have lunch after a morning on the slopes. The wings were crisp, plentiful with chicken, and the«Asian» inspiration was a flavor that impressed me. It was spot on! 3 grown men split the large portion and it was a great portion size considering we would all get a sandwich off of the«hot sandwich» part of the menu. I ordered the Black Forest. I had to stop eating it a few times just to marvel at the flavor, size, and care it took to create this gem. The sandwich was a heaping pile of pastrami that was so flavorful I thought I was at Katz’s in NYC. The sandwich had crisp bacon, melted cheese, and just enough spicy mustard. I ordered it on toasted rye instead of a sub roll. For less than $ 10, the sandwich was the king of kings… I could eat it for lunch everyday. Rainey, our bartender & server, was knowledgable, funny, and as attentive as anyone in his craft that I’ve experienced in a long time. The beer selection on draft was a nice mix of local craft brews and the standard lot of Americana. Do not miss this place if you are ever skiing at Mount Snow or simply on Route 100 traveling even farther north into the Green Mountain State. If there was s 4.5 stars option, this saloon would be it.

My friends and I stumbled upon this place as we drove around looking for dinner spots. I expected a rustic appearance before walking in. It turned out to be modern and clean. Staffs weren’t as friendly toward strangers as they were toward familiar patrons. Root beer was excellent. My meal was delicious. Just somewhat shocked by the overpriced meals/drinks. No long wait or hassle — a smooth ship.

A trip to MT Snow is never complete without a stop at the Saloon. This is one of best local spots to grab a beer and wings and enjoy a relaxed stops here. Great bar food with something for whole family. Always had great service and menu is priced right. I like wings and decent beer selections on tap. Try it.

Love this place! Great simple bar food done well with a friendly attentive staff. I was at mount snow for a long weekend and we ate there three times. The burgers a juicy and served with shoe string fries. The chili is hearty with a little heat. Even the cod sandwich is fresh and light. The wings are a home run and crunchy with the right amount of spice. My brothers girlfriend got a salad and it was fresh and hearty. The have a large variety of local beers on tap and are very knowledgable and will find you something you love to drink. I went back three times and didn’t have the same thing twice. It’s become one of my favorite bar/grills in Vermont.

Favorite restaurant/bar in Mount Snow for bar food. We always make it a point to come here. Their wings are criSPy and delicious. I love their Bronx Bomber which is grilled roast beef with bacon and cheese served on a crispy garlic bread roll. Always amazing. They also have a decent selection of beers on tap, a pool table and a several tvs to watch some games. Staff is very friendly too!

My family owns a house in West Dover and every time my boyfriend and I go North, we ALWAYS stop into the Saloon for either food and/or drinks. The food is fantastic(my favorite is the Psycho Chicken) and the service is great! From going once every couple of months for the past couple years, the owners have gotten to know us(or they are just really friendly so we THINK they recognize us). If you are ever in the area, check them out. You won’t regret it.

Sometimes keeping it simple is the best way to go. We stopped here on the way to Mount Snow, and we had a very good meal. The menu is standard fair pub food. Sandwiches, wings, burgers, salads. and everything was excellent. The grilled turkey sandwich was very flavorful and the cheeseburger was large with fresh fixings and great meat. Slightly overcooked(I asked for rare but it was medium), but still very tasty and juicy. The beer list is a bit meager for a «Saloon». This is not the place to get a flight of craft brews, but there are enough choices to keep everyone satisfied. Service was efficient and friendly and the cook is flexible regarding changes to your order. Prices are good for the portions they serve. There is a pool table. a popular bar, and a few TV’s for the games, so it is a nice place to hang.

A huge bar with an extensive menu. A tasty garden burger and a vegetarian wrap. Very limited seating other than at the bar. Pool tables take up room that could be more seating. Very busy considering how many other places there are in such a small town.

I am glad every other place doesn’t open until 4, otherwise I never would have discovered the Saloon. They have a great business going. Service was excellent and the food was just what the doctor ordered after a long day skiing. If you want to have a drink, they do 8.50 pitchers of anything on tap. Glad we stopped here.

I have nothing to complain about when it comes to my experience at the Saloon. Amazing food for a bar and a great menu with variety but not overwhelming or overdone. I was surprised with the small size of the bar, but it was extremely clean and neat, looks like it was just renovated. We were told a table would be available in 15, which turned out to be less than 5! Nice drink menu and awesome food selection. This has to be the best bar food I have had. I ordered the broccoli cheddar soup de jour and from my first taste i proclaimed that it was some of the best broccoli cheddar I’ve ever eaten. Service was quick and it was a fun and enjoyable atmosphere. This type of place would do well anywhere, very good food and great service. I highly recommend the Saloon, however be weary of when you go because I imagine the wait time for a table can get quite long.

This was my final of 4 dinners in Dover and it was by far the best. That includes silo(terrible), 1846(hit and miss) and Dover Joes(hit and miss and miss). The Asian wings were awesome /near the tops I’ve ever had, the burger solid, wraps, sandwiches all good. Atmosphere was friendly and welcoming. And they have a billiards table. Highly recommend.

Came here once for lunch and once for late night drinks, both times were enjoyable. Our waitress at lunch was a total spaz, but the food was delicious. The steak they use has great flavor, so anything with it was a hit at our table. Steak quesadillas and steak wrap were the ones we tried. Burger was also very delicious. At night, this seems like the better bar to be at than others in town. We were up for a weekend at an inn down the street and many people that stayed next door to us ended up here for drinks. It’s a good mix of locals and vacationers

The Saloon is a really good choice for food & drinks! No fancy entrees but a varied selection of hot & cold sandwiches, wraps, salads, apps & kids’ choices. Some of the best wings I’ve had outside of NJ! Also, 8 good craft brews on draft to choose from plus bottles if you like something more domestic. Dress is casual & staff are very friendly, especially Julie! Five TVs with sports on(right now, anyway).

My sister and I were back in West Dover again for the Green Mountain Adventure Challenge this past weekend. That brought us here again and we enjoyed a nice dinner while sitting at the bar. My sister had the Goat Cheese Salad with Raspberry Vinaigrette Dressing. I had a Rachel with Sweet Potato Fries. Paired with a few local beers, we left very satisfied. The service was good, no complaints from me.

Good bar food. A large variety of sandwiches. I had the buffalo wings which were pretty delicious. I also ordered a steak sandwich with bacon in it. Can’t go wrong with that! My eyes were larger than my stomach so I had to take out half my sandwich and it was just as good reheated the next day. haha The staff is friendly. It’s very clean and looks like a good place to catch sports.
