Nice quiet bar with great food. If you are looking for a local bar it is the place to be.

Filled with lots of locals. Had there shrimp fra diavolo and it was excellent! Great portion as well. Excellent beer selection. Would come back if I were in the area.

Came here with my boyfriend with the groupon. We ordered the buffalo wings as an appetizer and scarfed them all done … Delicious !
As for our enters, I ordered the fish. It was not tasty at all. A frozen section boxed fish would of tasted better .
The waitress was nice, but very slow. The place only had us and one other table and it still took quite sometime to order, get our food and then finally to get our check .
Not quite sure how I feel about this place — but nothing wowed me or completely upset me, so I won’t be back — seeing as how the place is mediocre at best.

When first walking in we were told to seat ourselves. We should of known it was bad news when we first got in… after taking our drink order it took ten minutes to get our drinks which isn’t so bad but there were TWO tables with guests. Next when we got our drinks (Coke and Pineapple juice) our waitress told us they didn’t want to open the pineapple juice by them because there was fruit flies… after delivering our drinks we had fruit flies fly around our heads as we patiently waited for our food… after losing all patience and almost walking out… we then find a DEAD fruit fly in the pineapple juice. Even then we tried to give it one last shot. We finally got our food (which wasn’t that great and over priced) we quickly rushed to shove the food down our throats to get the hell out! Our entire meal was ruined while having fruit flies constantly circling your head the entire time. At this point i tried to keep my cool & and politely told the waitress that the entire time we had flies circle us and the owner should look into getting that fixed. She left to let him know that & his response was «let them know I’m sorry». He didn’t even have the decency to come over and personally apologize himself. Overall I do not recommend this place to anyone and I refuse to ever return. I am in complete disgust.

Cool lil friendly bar. Bartender was super fast and really attentive. He greeted a lot of the people coming in by their names so the place has a decent amount of regulars. WINGS ARE AWESOME. Get them.

Fast service, decent beer selection, good prices, and the honey BBQ wings are hands down the best wings in Jersey if not the whole damn East Coast.

Good food, good atmosphere, good drinks, good staff. Can’t ask for anything more!

Great new addition to West Orange Pubs! Excellent bar food, great service, clean, lot’s of tv’s. Did I mention the amazing food?! Definitely check this place out! The patrons are growing exponentially as people keep learning about this place. oh bonus for having free popcorn! I prefer this bar over egans now, much more relaxed environment.

Had a wonderful night with friends at the oak barrel. The staff and patrons were very nice. Service and prices were excellent.

Nice spot what is for me, an unsuspecting location. I went in for comedy night, which I think happens about once a month. The comics were excellent, the food and drinks were good. It has a very cozy somewhat local feel. They’re doing something right, I like this place.

Good vibes and decent grub on a recent Sat. night in November. It was ultra crowded, with a party going on at the bar at 7:30 PM. So we waited for a booth in the back.
The Martinis we ordered were fine, save for arriving «sans olives.» Next time, I’ll drink my Martinis on a Football Night, when they’re $ 5.
Our Supreme Nachos were kinda «blah.» Personally, I think they would benefit from a dollop of Guac — even if it’s not homemade.
We also ordered a dozen disappointing wings, in two flavors: BBQ and Teryaki. But all 12 arrived deep fried, served with two little cups of sauce on the side. Even if the sauces were the two flavors we requested, that ain’t exactly the best way to «sauce» your chicken wings.
But the servers were friendly and pleasant; and we concluded our evening by sharing a tasty burger.

New spot in West Orange… besides Egan & Sons and Fridays theres really nothing else in the area. My co-​worker and I were pretty excited that this place opened up. Not sure what we were walking into, it was a classic, locals dive-​bar.
You walk in and the bar area is pretty tight. There may be about 4 tables in that area. To the back of the bar it’s a dining area, not very inviting.
The service was pretty solid for a dive bar so was the food. We had chicken bites which was basically mini chicken fingers. We had them with buffalo sauce which was a pretty good choice. We also had some disco fries.
Food was surprisingly on point here. Came out in a timely manner and delicious.
Happy hour specials kind of stunk and beers on draft was pretty limited. I’d still come back here for a drink after work. You can’t go wrong with bar food.

I came here last month with a few friends and we thought it was a decent place overall. The service was average (though our waitress was a sweet older woman) and the food was not bad overall. I got a burger with sweet potato fries and it was tasty and cooked how I asked. The beer selection was pretty bland overall and they pretty much just had the basic Miller/​Bud swill with some Guinness and Sam Adams. I’d recommend it if you’re in the area and looking for a place to grab a bite, but I would stay away if you’re looking for a great beer selection.

Great place! The bar pie (pizza) is fantastic. The sliders are done to perfection and come with delicious onion rings. The service is great, the waitresses are very friendly and efficient and if you go on comedy night… the show is the BEST! Thank you Big Rich from Jersey for getting us there!

Okay, so I’ve only been here once. But, the food was excellent. Especially for the price. The service was excellent. The server even cheers us! It was fun! Also good live music. They have a couple of craft beers on draft which is nice. I also ordered a glass of wind which was a heavy pour absolutely delicious.
I ordered their Oak Barrel Salad and added salmon to it. The salad + the salmon + their homemade Champagne Vinaigrette was one of the best salads I’ve had in a long long time. Their chili was so good I could’ve eaten it as a meal.

Good service, great burgers and a cool neighborhood hangout for Sunday Football: several games on and plenty on tap.

Great bar! I’m pretty much a regular here… good wings and burgers. They also have really good happy hour and football game day specials. Everything is reasonably priced.

The absolute best buffalo wings in New Jersey. We used to live in town and we moves away from West Orange but we often visit Frank the bartender at the used to be Gaffers Pub to just eat some delicious wings talk sports drink craft beer. They also make a mean Hamburger.

Great atmosphere and very good food!
My boyfriend loves the wings and he got a cheesesteak which he said was very good! I got a house salad w a veggie burger… both very good!
The first Wednesday of the month they have a free comedy show which is very entertaining!
Happy hour is from 3pm-​7pm
