The representatives for this company are completely incompetent and unhelpful. What should have been a simple move of service from one location to the next has turned into 7 phone calls, agents that lack the ability to efficiently provide service, and a general sense that the customer reps have barely a high school education. False information is given. They leave you on hold for inordinate periods of time. They make you feel like they are doing you a favor. If there was a negative rating that would be most appropriate for this company. If you want to waste hours of your day on the phone, sign up for this service. You will see how truly bad this company is.

I have some important news for you as to how to get the attention of anyone who cares at the worlds worst company — Comcast!
When you get one of Comcast’s alleged Customer Representatives, and they lie, give you false information, put you on hold for a half hour, tell you to hold while they get a supervisor, but only really give it to another flunky who says they are a supervisor, and require 5 added calls to get nothing done, do this after the ordeal.
Calls the headquarters, 215−286−1700 and ask for Neil Smit, President. They will transfer you to what is called the Executive Service team or something like that. Tell that all about your experience and they will then take it on to get it done. You know, if you can believe it, after 5 customer calls to the 800# where I was lied to, kept on hold, given all sorts of promises, when I got this team involved they sprung into action. I got a call from the local Comcast in Florida like an hour later, got a call from the service company who blew off the prior appointment, and got my problem solved. And, if you can still believe it I have gotten 2 follow-​up calls from headquarters AND the local office, to see if I was happy.
Hope all of your loathers of Comcast like me who are stuck with them, take this advice to get someone there to care about the horrors you have suffered with their so-​called customer service (ha ha) representatives.

I have Xfinity in a condo building in Palm Beach. My TV service is poor and I’ve scheduled three appointments with the rewire people from Comcast. I’ve also responded yes to the survey. I’ve been stood up every time and waited around for eight hours each time because it is an all day appointment. They will not give you a time window. They never called and each time I called I was assured they would be there the next day and would call to confirm. The Comcast rep also promised to call which he never did. No show, no calls, no service and I’m still being billed. I’m stuck with them because there is no alternative in our building.
They should be ashamed of themselves. It has to be the worst run company I’ve come in contact with in all my years in business and as a home owner. It’s basically a monopoly with no accountability. I gave one star because I could give none.

I give this company zero stars. Comcast/​xfinity does not care and will not care until there’s another cable tv company to compete with them. Xfinity provides a service but doesn’t really deliver on the implied promise, which to me, is to provide reliable cable tv and data at a fair price. I don’t call xfininty unless I absolutely have to because my time is too valuable and I don’t want to be put on hold or called back by an operator with a poor attitude that’s been continually beat down by so many other customers. One of these days Apple will come up with an alternate solution and put these careless (literally) operators out of business

Horrible internet reliability and speed, extremely high pricing, and boxes are always giving some error messaging, DVR is skippy, and on demand only works half the time…

Absolutely the WORST service. It’s a nightmare to deal with the company. Not worth your time and money.

Where do I begin… (they deserve 0 stars) Here’s my story: I placed my order (to be rec’d by sept 3^rd). 3^rd came, no stuff. I contacted online chat to find that my order was cancelled. Why? Nobody knows. My inquiry was escalated to a new person who said she was looking into it and then closed the session without speaking to me.
I called the customer service number to see what was going on. I was sent to 3 people after the usual 30 min wait on hold… Nobody knew why my order was cancelled so It was reordered for a Saturday delivery ⁹⁄₅. On Friday I get a call from this «phone number» 261 – 450 and left a message that my account needs to be validated. But she didn’t say what company she was from, I had no way to redial the number as it doesn’t exist. She didn’t leave her name either. I only knew who it was because I recognized her voice. Once again I called… And waited… I spoke to a rep who told me that Saturday delivery was not possible and that she gave me wrong info. He set it up for rush delivery (Labor Day weekend) but I wouldn’t get it until Tuesday.
Tuesday came and no order, I called. My stuff was supposed to arrive weds but they couldn’t tell me for sure. Ugh!!!
Weds came and finally so did my stuff. After setting up my equipment and it didn’t work — what a shock right? I had to find a number to call because their instructions to «activate» the account only include a web address (ummmm I’m setting up my internet right? If I don’t have an android or an iPhone, I simply cannot activate my account. Sooooooo I went online — (yes whew I have an iPhone) to find a phone number which I did. Mind you this is the number specifically for activating the account. After validating who I was, the only option I was directed to was this– «your account balance is zero. To set up payment, please press 1» …, Omg I wasn’t asking for my balance! I hung up and tried again. Same thing. This time I kept pressing zero in the hopes of getting an operator. After allllll of that, I’m told that I need to call back during normal business hours
So I found a new number to call the next day… the extremely under enthused rep was walking me thru install and said… Hold on please… He send me to tech support with no warning. The tech rep is trying to find out why my internet was not online. Then he asks the magical question «did anyone come to your home to set up the service to your apartment?» Grrrrrrr no! They were supposed to set that up the day that my order was placed. They tried to set me up for an service 8 days later. I said absolutely not. I am not willing to wait I explained that after all of these phonecalls and errors and waiting, if someone wasn’t there that day, my account is closing. What next? They put me through to retention. This supervisor promised a call back within ½ hour. I did get a call about 2 hours later saying that someone would be at my home on the 11^th and I didn’t have to be home. On the eve of the 11^th I called again. Surely there was a tech here that did the job and simply didn’t notify me. I attempted to set up the equipment. Nope! Not working. This rep told me that he would find out what happened nd call me back. Did he call me? Nope. So I called someone else to cancel my order. A condescending rep, Mark told me that he would speak to me if I was so angry. Really? I enlightened him and his attitude. Moving on he apologized about the service and said that he’s never seen a Rush service not be completed as it was escalated to urgent status. He said that it would be completed today the 12^th. And I would hear back by 10 am. By 12:30 I called customer service AGAIN! After reviewing my entire situation yet again, the rep told me she would get a manager to call me back as I told her that I must have someone call me immediately. 2 hours later I missed her call from another non existing number. She told me to call her back. I called the # she gave me. This was the message «you’ve reached this number at non business hours, please call back» needless to say, I haven’t heard from her. I called cust. svc yet again. I demanded my account be closed. Mind you that they won’t. They tell you that they’ll see what they can do and promise a call back that doesn’t come. This new rep told me that I’m scheduled for service on the 19^th! I adamantly refused and demanded a manager. After waiting 10 minutes, she came back on to tell me that she’ll connect me to a manger now.NO.I was sent back to customer service. My blood was boiling. In the meantime, I received a call from Mark. You know, the one who told me that I would get a call by 10 am and that today work would be done. He now told me that I’m set up for the 19^th. Needless to say I was furious!!! He was excruciatingly rude, condescending… And he hung up on me. I returned my stuff to the store. 6o minute wait to return my stuff? No! I demanded a manager who finally just gave me a receipt. 4 groups after me were just as angry as I was! Just say NO!

Xfinity, Comcast whatever you want to call it, is about the worst cable provider I’ve ever come across and that includes the Caribbean. Really — it’s totally pathetic. As if we’d taken trip back in time to 1988 — the graphics are pathetic and navigation beyond the pale. We have the full package but I don’t use it because it’s so ridiculous — I’d rather watch on my laptop. For instance, searching on demand — should one make the egregious error of clicking on a show and then deciding not to watch that particular episode or movie one may not just go back to the previous screen but must exit on demand completely and start all over — same goes for binge watching — just forget it — not worth the money. Total hassle.

When is the government going to do something about comcast? They offer subpar service and play games with customers. My service was out so I called. Hung up on 3 times by automated system. 4^th time got a representative. She was obviously annoyed and eventually hung up on me. 5^th call I asked for a supervisor and was on hold for 17 minutes only to find out there was an outage in my neighborhood. Over 40 minutes and 5 calls to get this info??? Then I asked for a credit on my bill for the outage and they said they don’t issue credits. Really??? I get to pay for something I’m not getting? Yup, comcast is the devil and is too big to fix. Government, Where are you? Take down the beast!!!

If I had any option other than Uverse, I would switch. Service is OK on the best days. Customer service is abysmal.
I got hit with a retroactive charge for an upgrade. I then spent 25 minutes on the phone with a moron who talked in circles and repeated himself, trying to find out why. Thankfully, I called back and got someone with a brain who explained it to me, but it would have been nice to know beforehand since I have autopay and I had to scramble to transfer money so I wouldn’t bounce checks.
If you have another option, take it. Just don’t switch to Uverse. They’re even worse.

So far so good! I had a good experience with installation and with setting everything up. Only thing is I am not able to edit account information and since I just bought a house some of the information gets confused with the previous owner — otherwise everything is going well.

If you have an alternative option, take your business elsewhere.-
I moved and was told to bring my equipment with me to the new apartment where cable is included in the HOA. After charging me $ 400 for service after I moved and not delivering the equipment, my service was shut off completely and no one has been able to resolve the issue. I’ve now been on the phone for over 4 hours, Ive talked to managers in every department and my services still do not work.
Going to try my luck exhanging the equipment tomorrow but this has by far been the worst experience as customer. It’s hard to believe that with so many great techonolgy companies out there, these folks are still in business.

HORRIBLE COMPANY. CAN’T GET ANYTHING RIGHT! Awful! Go elsewhere. Have had to open and close accounts repeatedly due to their inability to properly transfer an account when moving. They have screwed up my account so much that my telephone number is associated with three random addresses that we have never had service at. HORRIBLE customer service. They just pass you from extension to extension where you have to repeatedly explain yourself and no resolution is ever reached. I’ve had to explain myself for HOURS with zero help or even care from the employees. TERRIBLE! I would give zero stars or even –5 stars if that was an option. WORSE COMPANY I HAVE EVER BEEN PLAGUED WITH.

Before I even begin to write my review, I need you to read the plethora of previous reviews and everyone’s one star ratings. Then, I need you to read all the reviews that are «hidden» all the way down at the bottom of this page, that maybe customer service likes to ‘HIDE’ by red flagging the bad reviews. There’s about 13 more one star reviews «hidden».
With that in mind, all these reviews are for the Palm Beach Gardens /​Palm Beach Shores /​Jupiter Abacoa service location. There is no excuse in trying to pawn the blame on the west palm beach location. That’s been tried and it’s failed by miserable standards.
Comcast is a joke. The entire condo association where I live had nothing but problems with comcast for the first FOUR years I lived here. Continuing Internet service was laughable, for on a typical Friday, at 3pm… it would always go out. Like clock work, this would happen, and it would knock my friend out of a poker match every damn time. Tech service would be called immediately only to have them say that no one was available until MONDAY. So imagine my friend pulling his hair out for 3 ½ days, not being able to get email– play poker-​or watch his shows. Needless to say living with someone who has that proverbial need, is VERY hard to deal with, when they do not have that need fulfilled.
Imagine also, how much I would want to jump out of a window, drink drano, listen to Kenny G on Repeat (sure instant head implosion), or stick my head in the nearest gas oven after having to deal with him having no internet for that amount of time. THEN… imagine having it happen AGAIN the NEXT Friday… at YUP… you guessed it… 3PM. Always. This Weekend torture became the norm for years. (okay sometimes only TWICE a month, but you get the picture.) Always Monday the TEC guy would come out, shake his head, tell us «something is bad» with connection, with connectors on the pole, with your modem, with your TV, with your Chi, Toilet, sewer, microwave, cat litter box, closet hangers… anything to NOT admit this company was a sham, they would throw at us as an excuse, then try to make us «buy» new… whatever, …and it would be a different story every damn time, and every damn time, we would all pay for it to get ‘fixed’.
This, from the get go, seemed like a scam to me. So… one day, I had enough and decided that locking myself in a room away from the tyrant person who had no internet for the weekend, was going to «END RIGHT NOW». I called AT&T (not one of my favorite companies either mind you, but they’re better than comcast, by 1000% when it comes to the inter-​web) So the condo bought AT&T & had them install their do-dad’s, hook things up, and waaaaa-​la! Speedy internet for days with NO problems! EVER… It’s now been a YEAR (two years in March 2015). Never once has the internet gone out. Even after a power failure, the darn thing was already booted up and ready to woosh and go, with no ‘you have to reset your modem… or… You must need a new modem, new connectors, ground cable blah blah blah” BS that we would constantly get from comcast that they would want to charge us for. I told my friend, don’t fall for it, something is fishy. I had a suspicion about comcast and it’s crook TEC guys from day one, and I asked my neighbor to ask the AT&T guy if our connectors were bad, when he arrived for the set up. (I was private training a vip client and could not be there.). SHE said AT&T guy said NO!!. and as a matter of fact, proceeded to explain that AT&T piggybacks on those same connectors to the phone pole, for their service, and that if they were ‘bad’ they would not work for them either, or something along those lines.
Moral of the story is this;
Unless you’re screwing the Cable Guy, you’re going to get screwed by Comcast. I don’t know of any self respecting woman who is mentally stable, that has self esteem, or in her right mind, who would be willing to do a Cable guy that gives bad cable. That’s just bad service, in a shitty uniform.

ZERO STARS. Terrible service. I have had internet problems in Palm Beach Gardens for the past two weeks. I am now switching to AT&T.
I understand that they are busy, but they are absolutely incompetent and what’s worse, they don’t care and make misrepresentations. The first technician told me it was an area-​wide outage and that I had a high signal strength, which was good. Absolutely untrue. The new modem that Comcast recommended that I had to get operates at –5 to +5 and the signal was 7 – 8. Motorola, the modem company, told me Comcast needed to lower the signal strength. I related that and another tech came out and verified that the strength at 8 was outside Comcast’s own parameters, but he needed a maintenance tech to fix their amplifier at the curb. This was an off the shelf modem from Best Buy — it’s not lke I built it from scratch. If Comcast knows that all these modems it recommends operate at –5 to +5, why do they set the power of their signal to anything outside that!??
I got the second tech’s cell #, but he would not tell me his full name and he never answers or returns calls. He promised to get the right tech out there and to call me to verify it was done. That was a week ago! In the meantime someone did come, but it was raining, then they didn’t come back. I called twice daily at least to get someone back and the reps confirmed a «maintenance» tech was coming to fix THEIR equipment outside. Yet another inside tech without a clue shows up and again promises to put in the order for the maintanence tech and does so in front of my wife on his cell. Again, no one shows up. Then the reps say only the inside tech can dispatch the maintanence tech and they can’t, but no such order apears on the account.
I call back, get someone else, and they say they have dispatched a maintenance tech. Hey, I thought they couldn’t do that, right! Today the rep said he’d transfer me to the dispatch, put me on hold, then hung up. Ever notice these people refuse to give you anything but a first name and it’s always a common name like Joe or Rosie? I love how they repeat everything you say to them and appologize for the inconvenience, like they actually care or are trying to solve anything.
These phone reps tell me they are notating my account with all the information, but when I call back the next day, the rep has no knowledge and no notes of any kind. That means the first rep who said he or she was putting a note in the account of all the issues lied. That is just unacceptable.
Well Comcast, congratulations. You lost a customer. AT&T comes on Monday!
Oh yeah, the first tech said he’d replace a 3 foot piece of cable inside for free eventhough it was fine, just because he had new cable with him. Then Comcast tells me I owe $ 60 for cable. Nice. That’s just outright fraud. I reported all this to Channel 25-​West Palm. I hope they run the story. This is a sad commentary on what happens when you have no real choice for a service and the provider of that service knows it and just doesn’t care. What Comcast is doing and they way they act just isn’t right.

This company is run like any other government owned company in 1950’s Russia!
They have most inept call center with no way to contact a service center or any way of checking if equipment is available. They expect you to basically wing it. The Palm Beach Gardens service has no direct line and the call center said they cannot call them or check if they are even open for service. Yesterday they had no cable at the service center and couldn’t give out any equipment. .You’re the largest multi billion $$$ Cable company and your cable is down at your service center? You have no way to direct dial a service center? You have no way to check if equipment is available at another location?
It’s 2014 not 1956. where at least customer service meant something back then!

Absurd to let this company exist as a monopoly. Ths is not about this office, just the whole company. No service, convoluted procedures to take time anf make us walk away from holding anyone responsible. No quality control. Rigid and ultimately insulting that they pay people overseas our hard earned money and that these overseas only tax our time, patience and pocket books more.
This review should also apply to the politicians who permit this ‘public untility’ to exist without publc fines for failing to honor their obligations to the citizens of this state.

I moved to West Palm Beach a year and a half ago and got a $ 70 promotion/​month for basic cable and internet. A little pricey, but that’s fine. When the promotional period ended it shot up to $ 110 a month! Okay. I stayed with it because changing to a different company is annoying and difficult because of how Comcast dominates my area.
Then last week channels started dropping off my package without warning. Bravo, SyFy ect. I thought it was weird but didn’t say anything. Then I get home from work today and literally HALF of my channels say «Not Authorized» when I select them. ESPN, HGTV, CNBC,
I called up Comcast thinking it was a technical issue and the rep told me that those channels were not part of the package I paid for (huh???). I told her they always had been on my TV until now and asked why they were taken off and if the perimeters had been changed on the TV packages.
In typical Comcast robot-​form the woman said that those channels were not part of the package I paid for (well, gee, thanks for the elaboration). She then told me for another $ 10 a month I could upgrade for a promotion with basically the same channels/​internet with home phone. I told her I did not need home phone and that I would not like to pay more each month,
I simply wanted the channels back that were deleted. She replied by saying that those channels were not available on my package and that I could upgrade to a promotional package with home phone for an additional $ 10 a month. It was like talking to a robot cactus with the personality of Ben Stein.
I finally told her that I would simply like to delete my TV service. She said what a pleasure it was to serve me and that she respected my decision. She then told me to hang up my phone.
I called back to cancel and talked to an Accout Specialist who was actually willing to work with me. She gave me a promotional $ 70 a month deal again for the exact same services I have now… however after 9 months my payment goes up to $ 115/​month. I told her yes, because it will save me a little money and will give me time to find a better provider by then.
Tread carefully when considering this company. Their services and (some) products are of above average quality, but they will charge you out the wazoo for everything imaginable (including service calls when their products crap out) and they are severely lacking in customer service capabilities if anything goes awry..
