Personalized College Planning for high school and transfer students. We help students and families navigate the often overwhelming process of applying to college.

We begin with a personal assessment of each student’s individual needs. We administer personality tests and discuss with each student wise career choices based on both their desires and testing results. We guide the student through college selection and research to find their «best fit.» We continue to help the student through the process of filing applications and essay writing in one-​on-​one meetings which include completing and filing applications, reminders of upcoming deadlines and requirements, review their essays and schedule their next appointment. Upon completion of applications, we continually review college portals with students and apply for local scholarships. We also help parents with financial aid questions, FAFSA/​Profile filings and help families choose the best college offer for their student.

History

Established in 2008.

Off 2 College Now was established by Deanna Kubit in 2008. Deanna received her teaching degree from the Pennsylvania State University and taught school in Pennsylvania for 10 years. Upon moving to California, she raised two children while serving as President of Walnut Canyon PTA, Vice President of the Moorpark PTA Council, served on the Walnut Canyon Site Council and the Moorpark School District Bond Committee. She witnessed many of her friends confused about the college application process as their student’s began applying to college and bewildered when trying to understanding financial aid. As a teacher, she recognized the need for not only a systematic process to tackle these concerns, but also materials to help guide both parents and students through the process. After training for 2 years, Off 2 College Now was born. Since then, she has successfully helped over 100 families and has recently added a partner to the office to help assist even more students each year.

Business Owner

Deanna Kubit received her teaching degree from the Pennsylvania State University. She taught in Pennsylvania for 10 years before moving to California with her husband Timothy and their two children. She formerly served as Walnut Canyon PTA President and Moorpark PTA Council Vice President. Under her leadership, the Walnut Canyon PTA was named an award winning PTA by the California State PTA Association 2 years in a row and was the first PTA in Moorpark to receive this honor. As an avid real estate investor, Deanna was concerned her children would not understand the importance of investing and managing money. What started as a letter to her children explaining investing terms ended up as a self-​published book entitled «Unleash Your Millionaire.» As her children grew and friends’ children began applying to college, she again saw a need for a systematic and uncomplicated way of helping others plan and prepare. After 2 years training, she opened Off 2 College Now.
