Bella Bridesmaids

I have never written a bad review before on Unilocal.But DO NOT GO HERE.
I could not be more disappointed with this store. I went to Bella Bridesmaid because my sister and my sister-​in-​law live in Fairfield, CT. I picked out all of my bridesmaids gowns. A week after we purchased the gowns we found out a friend of mine was pregnant. My friend called to see if she could get a larger size since it had only been a week. They strictly told us no and would not help us out.
Then– they had all of my bridesmaids order extra length, which none of them needed and Every single girl had to go to a tailor.
***The worst part was when one of my bridesmaids called with her measurements she told the store she was a size 2 normally but the measurements matched a size 12 on their dress chart. They told her to def. go with the size 12. She pushed back and they said she was a def. 12. When she showed up to the tailor they said the dress was so large there was nothing they could do with the dress and that is would cost the same amount as getting a second dress.
The store did not help us out at all. Would not even buy back the dress or exchange the dress when they insisted she buy a size 12. They just told us to go to another tailor, who said the exact same thing, that my bridesmaid needed a new dress. We had to order another $ 300.00 gown from Nordstrom and we are stuck with her other size 12 dress, since the wedding is in 4 weeks.
I bet this is not the first nor the last time this has happened and they were awful and with no help. If you are in the bridesmaid industry be prepared to help out your clients.

I had two experiences at this salon. The first was enjoyable, but the second was wildly disappointing. The wrong dress styles were ordered for two bridesmaids (maids of honor actually) for my sisters wedding. Mistakes happen, but the level of customer service following this realization was almost laughable. There was no «let’s get this fixed» mentality. That’s what a bride needs to hear weeks out from her wedding day. But no, they offered no solution, took no fault, blamed us, and basically shrugged their shoulders when we brought this to their attention the day the dresses were picked up from their store… saying it was simply too late to get new dresses. Meanwhile, another salon heard our story, called the designer and was able to get a rush order approved. This other salon was so willing to HELP even when they knew we didn’t buy our dresses from them. (We ultimately put the rush order through with Bella, once they heard another salon could do it, but they did not compensate us for the wrong dresses so we essentially had to pay for double the dresses)
Now it is my turn to get married and I will not trust Bella Bridesmaid to have anything to do with my wedding. In this industry, you need to have that trust in your vendors, that even when something goes wrong (it’s inevitable), they will help you find a solution and be a partner to you.
Overall, the dress selection may be good but the poor customer service isn’t worth the headache. Instead, I would recommend A Little Something White in Darien if you’re local to Fairfield County or Allegria Bridal in Boston if you are up north a bit.

I have to start by saying I have never written a bad review on Unilocal,however, I thought it was important to share my recent experience with Bella Bridesmaids.
My sister is getting married in 2.5 weeks and we still do not have our bridesmaid dresses, which we ordered the first week in April. There has been so much miscommunication and false-​promises about when the dresses were due to arrive. While the initial appointment was lovely, the process of actually receiving the dresses on time has been incredibly stressful particularly for one of the bridesmaids who is pregnant and needs significant alterations. To make matters worse, the store is currently closed while the owners are on vacation — DURING THE MIDDLE OF WEDDING SEASON. It makes me livid to think that our $ 300+ dresses, which were originally supposed to be shipped in mid-​July, are instead sitting somewhere in Westport while the store owners sit on a beach.
This is truly no way to run a business.

I have 8 bridesmaids all over the map… California, Indiana, New Jersey, CT, etc. and Bella in Westport made the ordering process seamless and stress free for each of them. The owner Maribeth was wonderful to work with and so accommodating with my hectic schedule. Most importantly, the dresses arrived on time and exactly as promised! Fairfield County brides: don’t think twice about buying your bridesmaid dresses here, you’re in great hands!! l

My bridesmaids purchased their dresses from this Bella Bridesmaids location and we couldn’t be happier with the process or the selection. Bella stores are by appointment-​only but this location’s owner, Maribeth, is so accommodating no one in my bridal party has ever had a problem.
As a side note, Maribeth’s daughter manages the chain’s West Hartford location which one of my bridesmaids visited as it was more convenient for her. We had a similar, pleasant experience there as well.

I had an emergency and needed to get a last minute bridesmaids dress to match the others I had ordered. The staff and owner were so helpful and nice. They helped me find a dress from the same designer and fabric that is strapless like the others. They allowed me to purchase the sample and shipped it immediately. The store really went above and beyond; 100% recommend.

When some of the out-​of-​town bridesmaids were visiting the area, we literally stumbled upon Bella Bridesmaid after a foray into Crumbs Cupcake Shop. We called from the sidewalk, and were luckily able to schedule an appointment and go up immediately.
Our experience could not have been better. We were greeted warmly, given very personalized service and recommendations, and — most importantly — tried on some wonderful dresses. The ladies looked great in their selections, and the staff was very good about accomodating each girl’s personal taste. They have a very wide selection that would suit any time of the year, style, and budget — plus, many of the dresses have different options available that could give them a unique look for each bridesmaid.
Although in the end, none of us ended up purchasing our bridesmaids gowns at Bella Bridesmaid, I would without a doubt recommend it to any friend when planning their wedding. We had a very pleasant experience with the staff and our appointment, and they have a lovely and wide selection of dresses.

This particular location just changed ownership. I am a bride and spent the morning at the other Westport bridesmaid store, Plumed Serpant. The service between the two could not have been more different. Plumed Serpant service was snotty and rushed. The new owner of Bella Bridesmaid, Madison, was friendly, kind, patient, I could not have asked for a more perfect person to help. I HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend going here. They treat you as though you are the only bride in the world and truly care about your day and your decision. THANK YOU!

The whole point of ordering maids’ dresses from a chain is the convenience for out-​of-​town bridesmaids to try on the dress at a local salon. I’ve spent over $ 500 on dresses in the past 6 weeks, all at Bella Bridesmaid locations. I tried to make an appointment to try on a dress in Westport (about an hour from where I live, but closer than the other locations) and was told I could have a 15 minute appointment on a Wednesday in mid-​day.
I have a job. I’m a bridesmaid, not a bride. And that’s ridiculous. I ended up contacting the designer, who happily shipped me the dresses in the possible sizes. I’m so thrilled that my brides ordered their dresses from other Bella locations, because this one is awful. I can only hope the others are more accommodating.
