Rude gentleman who is less than excited to be there and serve customers. Buying toys should be a fun experience and environment for all. Save your money and buy toys at the local Barnes and nobles or target. Avoid this unpleasant place which lacks customer service.

I visited Learning Express recently, and my negative experience compelled me to write my very first Unilocal review. I live in town, and have purchased toys at Learning Express for many years. I go there less frequently now, because my children are older and also because I’ve always found the employees to be grumpy and not very helpful. That said, I was looking for a craft for my 5-year old niece, and I know that Learning Express has a nice selection, so I decided to go to the store last week. The owner and two employees were in the store when I entered, and I wasn’t greeted by any of them, despite being the only customer at the time. In fact, I was looking at the crafts for nearly 10 minutes while all three of them stood nearby at the counter looking at their phones. I would have liked some assistance, but it was pretty clear that these three gentlemen couldn’t be bothered to tear themselves away from their phones to assist me. It’s too bad that Unilocal doesn’t enable the posting of photos, because I actually took a photo of the three of them while I was there. I am a supporter of small businesses and don’t like throwing a small business under the bus, but I find this behavior/treatment to be unacceptable, especially when all the items in the store can be purchased at Amazon(or even up the road at Barnes & Nobel) for less money. This will be my absolute last visit to the store.

I was there this morning and the manager is «rude». He doesn’t know how to speak to people. I returned a gift that I had a receipt for and was told I have 90 days to use it. Wrote it on the receipt in red ink. The way he said it was rude and left me feeling pressured to buy something. You want to have the small stores in your town and they are suppose to be nice mom and pop stores and make you feel like you are in a nice community, but instead you get rude and inflexible with returns and exchanges and coupons. Would rather go to Toys rus or Target or order on line. Thanks for nothing.

This store always has helpful employees. I worked with the young man with the beard and he was just so helpful. The toys are great quality and the employees know what they are talking about. The best part is wrapping which is what makes it the best

New location, same hostile service… Unprofessional, rude owner and employees — the ones trying any harder get scolded for helping for too long. Definitely the toy store of last resort.
