Menchie’s

This place is okay. It’s hyped due to David Lipper (Viper from Full House) owning the brand. The flavors are hit or miss for me. The décor is nice but childish. I wish there was more fruit toppings and what not. Overall, I prefer pinkberry & yogurt land over this.

This place always has a good selection or ypgurt flavors and toppings.

Went here for the first time last week, and it was awesome. My favorite aspect of Menchie’s was how welcoming the worker at the time was (I think her name was Michelle?) I wasn’t sure what to get, so she told me to feel free to try the yogurt out. They were out of whipped cream, but she didn’t hesitate to refill it for me. She definitely made my experience better. I’ll be going to this Menchie’s for my frozen yogurt needs.

Love this store. The fact the yogurt if labeled rocks. I know what is GF. Wish the machines worked a bit better. Chocolate candy bar (GF) is always slow or impossible to get anything from. I would be more likely to leave tips if they were more personable with my kids. Monrovia always gave stickers etc and were very kid friendly.

I recently came here a few days ago and wow I absolutely love this yogurt place! It was around 12 so it was a bit warmer outside, I didn’t know what to expect but I am happy I found my new favorite yogurt spot! Priscilla who works here is so nice! She explained to me the different cakes they have and how the catering works! (Work purposes) Very very clean inside that was the first thing I noticed, also so many different toppings to chose from! I will definitely be back!

We like this place it has good prices and good selection of items to add to your yogurt. The staff is always nice and they greet you every time. I will be back for sure.

This place won me over with their sugar cookie flavor yogurt.
YUM! I do go to yogurt land a lot but this place is close to a chipotle so I’ll be a regular. The prices, flavors and ingredients are better in my opinion.

I’ve been here a lot because the ice cream is delicious with so many toppings to choose from. It’s nice & clean. I just don’t care for their staff. They are not friendly at all. They look so upset to be working there. & it’s always warm inside.

The Honeydew melon was pretty awesome but $ 0.47 per ounce is ridiculous, I know places charging under $ 0.40 per ounce.

Love this place my daughters favorite never over crowded Sunday funday the hard shell #1. Clean place restrooms clean great customer service their rewards is great we get free yogurt all the time.

Came here yesterday my waffle cone was stale the yogurt was good the fruit toppings could off used some freshening up. My kiwi was too soggy, so 4 states for this location I’m sure other places have it together sadly not the case here yesterday. My fiancé got a chocolate waffle bowl and his was fine. I don’t thing I’ll come back sticking to Baskin in the same parking lot.

Came here for the first time with my boyfriend and mom. We all enjoyed it. I thought the place was super cute and they had delicious flavors for yogurt. They even provide the nutritional benefits and calories for each of the flavors.
The toppings would have been great if they had a bigger fruit selection. They didn’t even have bananas :(a couple of the containers were empty. Maybe they ran out? I’m not sure, but for that reason only I deducted a star. Props to them for having marshmallows though!
We’ll definitely be regulars! I’m excited to come back and perhaps give them that 5^th star when they fill up their fruit containers. :)

I don’t think I could ever give less than 4 stars on a FroYo store just due to the fact that it is basically «healthier» sweets. Menchie’s is very clean and nice, but the flavors aren’t something I prefer to a Yogurtand. The one thing Menchie’s has is the toppings bar, but I usually just go for the FroYo and put maybe yogurt chips on top, but that is about it. I can see how people who put lots of toppings would love this place, but I prefer the variety of FroYo to toppings.

I may have just eaten plastic! At least that’s what the woman behind the counter tells me. I found a small hard plastic object in my yogurt. She says it’s probably from one of the ring he things in the machine. Certainly I don’t want frozen yogurt anymore

Yogurt? What? Where? I’m always up for yogurt. I love to try new flavors but I normally always keep the same toppings. I came here when it first opened and left today with my thoughts exactly the same for the quality yogurt they provide.
Now there are Pros and Cons here so I’ll break it down.
PROS:
–Very clean inside
–Lots of options of toppings, outside the norm at other places
–Love that the toppings are in those containers when you go to a candy store that open and close and you scoop. This makes it seem more sanitary.
–Different flavor than other yogurt places as well. They had a pineapple, banana, mango, cupcake batter, mudslide. Seemed like great flavors.
CONS:
–Extremely watery, if you don’t eat it right away you might as well grab a straw.
–Flavors were not strong. I got the cupcake batter and banana one. Couldn’t taste either. Could be because the texture wasnt thick enough.
So with my yogurt being so watery I didn’t finish it. I added tons of Mochi because that is my favorite topping. The flavor was just not good. It seemed weird. I ended up tossing my whole cup because it just wasn’t enjoyable.
When we had originally walked in we never got asked if we wanted sample cups. I don’t come here often so I’m not sure if they have stamp cards but the girl didn’t ask nor offer.
I only go to Yogurtland and this place failed me again. I wouldn’t come back.

Have not been to a Menchie’s in forever almost forgot how good their stuff really is. I found that the yogurt had tons of flavor and tasted a bit more «real» than yogurtland. Had the peanut butter chocolate and just a touch of marshmallow cream sauce. Wowza! Thought it was very flavorful and considerably different than the competition.
Things I loved: The sauces and the flavor of the yogurt. If it does not sound strange, I thought the yogurt tasted more fresh and not too artificial.
Opportunities: Couple of machines were not working or being cleaned when we went in. Additionally the dry toppings are stacked on top of each other which made «maneuvering» your yogurt treat a touch difficult. Set down the yogurt, open the little lid and scoop what you want to top it. Since their just is not much room in front of the counter it seems like it makes for an easy spill or topple.
Cost is comparable, no issue there. Cleanliness was not an issue. Overall I would surely recommend Menchie’s as serious contender for your yogurt dollars.

Me and wife love many of the various yogurt places popping up in and around the city and after a trip to Whittier to try a puffy taco we saw that a Menchie’s was also in the vicinity. We had recently seen Menchie’s featured on the show Undercover Boss and when they showed the stores, they looked huge, colorful and with more toppings and flavors then your average Yogurtland, Cherry On Top or other misc. yogurt location.
Upon walking in you are taken aback by the size, colorfulness and selection with which Menchie’s offers. All Menchie’s yogurt flavors are unique (yoo-​nique as they say) to their brand and cannot be found elsewhere. After sampling the marshmallow (tasted EXACTLY like a marshmallow) I decided to go with just a basic chocolate, vanilla yogurt mix. At Menchie’s you have the option of swirling their flavors and this is something I do not see regularly from other places. On one side of the machine you have chocolate and on the other you have vanilla, however in the middle is a handle that will automatically swirl the two flavors into one for you. I quickly filled my cup with the swirl and made my way to the large topping bar.
The topping bar at Menchie’s far exceeds anything I have seen from any other yogurt establishment outside of Great American Yogurt (who also has a large selection). They have all of your favorite candy, nuts, fruit and sauces to choose from. I was feeling like something chocolatey so I filled my cup with sno-​caps, chocolate sprinkles, dark chocolate chips, whipped cream and topped it with hot fudge. The fudge quickly melted through the yogurt but I didn’t mind as this helped to mix all of the various flavors together into one. I have seen numerous reviews from my Unilocal friends about the yogurt here having no flavor but I personally did not encounter this. The basic chocolate and vanilla were great and the toppings were fresh and well kept as well. At .43 cents an ounce the place is well worth the price they charge.
For those interested, Menchie’s also has a section when you walk in the door that sells various t-​shirts, hoodies and stuffed toys from their brand. The prices seemed pretty decent and is a nice idea to get the name out there. This is something I have not seen other places. This Menchie’s also seems to have a following with the celebrity crowd as it is owned by an actor from the Full House sitcom from the 80’s & 90’s. They have pictures of Adam Sandler, Justin Bieber and others who have all been here.
The parking, service and yogurt were all good and I am sure we will be back again.

43 cents per ounce and $ 1 extra for a waffle bowl
They have interesting flavors, and they boast the lack of rBST in their yogurt. I like that there are lots of toppings to choose from (I feel like they have more than Yogurtland does). But I have to say, I like Yogurtland flavors and taste much better than Menchies!
Servers are really friendly and will greet you with «have a smiley day».

I would say this place is alright if you’re having a fro-​yo craving and don’t feel like seeking out a Yogurtland. They have similar options, however, I think the flavor is sort of bland. They have a lot more toppings than some of it’s competitors in the area, but again, I think the main dessert should be able to stand on it’s own.
The flavors I tried:
— Red Velvet: It was good, but it didn’t have any strong flavors. It could have been called something else chocolate and I wouldn’t have known the difference. The only thing that made it red velvet was that it came out red.
— Pistachio: This was one of my favorites. But again, the flavors weren’t bold. I want that nutty taste with every bite.
— Graham Cracker: This was my least favorite. There wasn’t any flavor whatsoever. It just tasted like sweet, frozen milk.
— Pink Lemonade: This was my absolute favorite. It was super tart and actually had a great lemony flavor with each bite. I wished I had just gotten a full bowl of this concoction.
— Chocolate: The chocolate was good. You had two different options, both had the same photos, but one had the higher milk fat. The one with the higher milk fat tasted better than the other. Go figure.
You could upgrade your bowl to a waffle for only a $ 1 more. That’s a bargain. But I bet it tastes a lot better when it’s warm. I’m not sure when they make them, but that would be the only time I would make that consideration again. It wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t anything fantastic.
They have a rewards program where you get a free $ 5 credit for every $ 50 you spend. You also get a free $ 5 serving on your birthday if you register.
Would I come back? Maybe, but it’s definitely not something I’d seek out on a regular basis more-​so than just stop in for a quick dessert after having dinner in the area.

Being a first timer here since there are no Menchies near me, I wasn’t sure what to expect. So like a good Unilocaler, I read a few reviews on this place. I knew the yogurt was behind the counter and I knew about the rewards card.
BTW, this place is owned by David Lipper.
He was here after I had paid for my yogurt.
Surprisingly, there were no lines here when I came. So I asked if I could get a Waffle Cone. The lady asked me if this was my first time here and I replied yes. She then mentions everything was weighed so i said OK.
As for the flavors, unlike yogurtland, they don’t really carry tart flavors. I know they do have the tart flavors but non at the time we were thee.
We did try some flavors, thanks to the samples cups on a plate near by the yogurt stations.
They had ice cream sandwich, cake batter, red velvet, mud pie, mango, kiwi. There were others but those were the ones we tried yesterday.
So first thing upon noticing, all the yogurt were a little on the runny side. Meaning, it’s more watery and not as cold. The yogurt will be denser and of course, be heavier as I believe they charge $ 0.42 an ounce.
The dry toppings bar are all enclosed in these plastic containers. Great idea keeping it dust free. Just had trouble getting larger items like cookies out of the little containers. The fruit toppings did not look fresh except for the strawberries. When the kiwi looks greener than a dollar bill, I tend to pass.
Upon paying, I noticed the girl who told me about weighing the waffle cone had left her shift. I guess I was there in between shifts. So the new girl charged me I believe a dollar plus the difference of what I got minus the 6 oz coupon. She also asked me if I was a first timer and I got toys for the kids I was with which was nice of her.
I don’t want to sound ungrateful, as this yogurt wasn’t bad. To me though, the flavors I got just didn’t taste bright and crisp like the ones I usually get from their competitors. However, being here in this area with a Chipotle next door, sure does seem like a great idea having lunch and a dessert next to year other.
I did wish they had a water dispenser of some kind also. It would be a nice pallet cleanser.
