If you’re blind and want to see for the first time, come see Dr. Kenzo Otsuji! I’ve worn glasses/​contacts since I was about 10 and for the past 14 years, I’ve been able to see enough to get me by but never HD. We had insurance but had never used it before and came across Dr.Otsuji. My husband called in the morning and was able to make an appointment for the same day. I tagged along and thought id ask if they could squeeze me in, I thought they were going to say no. However, they were able to squeeze me in so I was excited! First, they take you into a room and take pictures of your eyes through 4 different machines! Usually, they only take pictures in 2 machines (from the past 5 optometrists I’ve been to) then Dr. Sees you in the room. He was was very thorough and didn’t rush at all! He knew exactly what I needed for my eyes and gave me a trial pair of contacts. As soon as I put them on, I realized that I had been really blind before. I could see the smallest letters and all colors and images seemed to be in HD! It’s been almost a month now with my new contacts and I can honestly say that ive never seen so well in my life! Whittier is almost an hour from where I live but I don’t mind making the drive! Thanks a lot Dr. Otsuji!

My family and I have been coming here for almost ten years now! The entire staff is so kind, especially the optometrist, and the glasses selection for adults and children is very reasonable. They make sure to call to verify your appointment at least the day before, and also schedules your appointment the day of your check-​up for the next year.
Robert, one who helps with finding my preferred glasses, is very kind and has been working here for so long! I’ve requested adjusting sunglasses I didn’t even purchase here, and he’ll take the time to do them for me. Much appreciated!

5 stars all the way! I have been coming here with my wife for years and every visit has been great. Appointments starting on time, great frame selection, and outstanding customer service.
Let me break it down,
1) I have worn many different brands of contacts over the years and I thought I was doomed to having dried out eyes for the rest of my life until I came here and Dr. Otsuji asked what I was wearing then recommended a new brand to me. Boy what a difference! No more dry eyes! I liked them so much I told my wife about them and now she wears the same brand too (Dailies Total — the Rolls Royce of contacts).
2) I was looking for a pair of prescription sunglasses that I could wear while cycling and had no clue what frames to get. Enter Robert, this guy is a glass frame recommending genius, nuff said. I liked the frames so much I ended up getting a 2^nd pair of the exact same frame with non-​tinted lenses for night time riding.
I can honestly say the quality of my life has improved after coming here. I find that rare to say about a business so 5 stars it is. Thanks for the years of great service!
P. S. I would give this place 6 stars (1 extra star) for the location. My wife and I turn our optometrist appointments into a date day, we schedule back to back appointments on the weekend then go have a nice lunch at Mariscos Mazatlan! (great little restaurant right down the street)

I have been coming here for years now and have never had any problems. The staff and doctor are all very nice, thorough, and I like their selection of frames. Customer service has been excellent on every visit. The managers June and Rob have been working at the office for over twenty years and they know how to treat their patients right! Would recommend to all my friends and family.

POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE… if I could give them a Zero for star rating… I would.
I’m so disappointed this time around with my eye exam, I was told that my insurance only cover eye exam and no materials cost. It would only be $ 15.00 with my current insurance plan. I’ve been a loyal customer of 6 years and today I was misled with the services and charges. They said it didn’t cover the eye contact exam, that it would be additional charges for contact eye exam, after services were render. It was very clear to me by June the front office Clark, for today’s visit would be $ 15.00. I signed the form with eye contact exam indicated.
Dr. Kenzo S. Otsuji, O.D. refuse to issue me the contact lens prescription, unless I paid him the contact eye exam. Which he didn’t even disclose the amount.
They lost me and my whole family, I will never step a foot in this establishment. It’s the principle not the money, that they did not disclose the total amount for the services.
Be careful get full price and explanation, before you get your eye exam.
They must be desperate for cash not for customers, they don’t see the full picture… CUSTOMERS CREATED BUSINESS!

Never have I been to an optometrist in my life. This was my first time and all I have to say is wow. Friendly staff and doctor, all of them knew exactly what they were doing. Thought this would be dull and boring turned out to be pretty fun and very informative.

I’ve been coming here for years and I still come back all the way from school because Dr. Otsuji is awesome! The rest of the staff is also pleasant and my insurance usually covers everything. They are sometimes inconsistent in how nice it helpful they are that’s the only reason they aren’t getting 5 stars, but if it were just a review of Dr. Otsuji it would definitely be 5 stars!

Set up appointments two times, confirm appointment day before. On my appointment day waiting time min 45 min with three party in front. Very frustrating, I’ll give them one more chance.

Great service. They always take the extra effort to help you find the best glasses. Must have Robert assist you. He’s the best.

Dr Otsuji is very detailed in his diagnosis of my eyes. He gave me the options of getting glasses to help alleviate my over-​worked eyes. I have an atypical case of 1 farsighted eye snd 1 ²⁰⁄₂₀ eye. The vision center has a great selection of glasses! Overall, I had a great experience and highly recommend this place!

Great customer service Robert was amazing! Great deal on my Dior glasses half off the second pair. Will definitely be coming back again.

I’ve been coming to Vision Center Optometry for the past few years. Dr. Otsuji and his staff are great! They are extremely polite and professional.
The office is located in a small center next to Walgreens and across the street from the Walmart Supercenter shopping plaza. Parking can be a little tricky here, especially on Saturdays. If you cannot find parking in the small lot behind the office, park in the Walgreens parking lot. No worries, as they have parking arrangements with Walgreens — just be sure to park toward the back.
If you decide to get a year’s supply of contact lenses, you can get a pair of frames at a 50% discount which is what I usually do. They have a nice selection of frames including Gucci, Bebe, Dior, Ray-​Ban, etc. Robert assisted me in picking out some frames; he is awesome! I’m extremely slow and picky and end up trying a bunch of frames on, but Robert is super patient and recommends frames that fit best with your face shape. During my visit last month, I wanted to get some frames that were a little more stylish/​fashionable (I usually go with the «conservative» frames) and he helped me select a pair of Gucci frames. I’ve received many compliments. Also, the contact lenses are ready for pick up within a couple of days.
I’m always satisfied with my experience at Vision Center Optometry and highly recommend them!

Now that I’m getting older my vision is going slowly. It was my first time getting glasses and I was able to get some great service who was able to get a great name brand frame.
Dr Otsuji OD was great. He was professional direct and I felt very comfortable going through all those eye tests for the first time.
I love that they were patient with me when I was confused about which frame to get. My face is larger than most so I really didn’t think I would have something that would fit but they can mold the frame to match.
Now the biggest issue for me is to remember to use and bring my glasses.
Will definitely be back.

Don’t waste your time, the office is placed in an extremely dirty and ghetto shopping center and they fail to notify you of their absolutely ridiculous parking situation and when you can’t find somewhere to park they are no help either, they tell you to park at Walgreens but there’s clear signs that you can’t park there.
I parked on the residential street and when I asked if that was alright she simply stated «don’t know» really? I took my time off work and busy schedule and you can’t even tell me where to park to pay YOUR business money? Well too bad you lost another customer there should be more respect for people’s time and at least get your information together.
What a joke of an establishment-​like I said don’t waste your time at all.

Today was my 1^st visit with Dr Chung. First, thank you Judy for getting me in for a same day appt! Second Robert at the front desk was very welcoming and greeted me right when I walked thru the door. Very friendly staff and short wait time.
The office was comfortable I felt relaxed (I dont do well with any kind of appt) Dr Chung was great, she didnt push me into anything. She asked me before she did anything and even gave me options
All in all 100% pleased and will definitely be back

I scheduled an appointment online only to be called the next day and have the receptionist tell me that there was a «glitch» in the system and that it wasn’t available. They didnt have any other appointments to accomodate my schedule. Very discouraging for a first time patient. Will not be coming here, finding a new doctor with a scheudling system that works to accomadate new patients.

I’ve been coming here since i was a child well it use to be located in the Santa Fe Springs Mall B4 they turned it into a strip mall, this place is very professional and friendly.
They have many designer specks also designer sunglasses for sale.
I enjoy it here, I ordered my contact lens and they had it ready in a few days!
It’s close to the main street in a small plaza.
it is also extremely clean.

I was looking for an optometrist close to home, and I’m so glad I found this place. The office is clean, spacious, and the staff is friendly and helpful.
It was a breeze to book my first appointment, and Dr. Crum was randomly chosen for me. There are also two other optometrists that work here, and they switch off depending on the day you visit.
I was switching from RGP contacts to soft contacts, so I needed an eye exam and contact lenses fittings and also follow up appointments. Dr. Crum was always patient and answered my questions. I never felt rushed. What I love is that I felt like he was teaching me about my eyes. How everything worked and how to keep them healthy. He generously offered me a wide variety of contact samples and said I could always come back for more if I ran out. He also let me know if I ever had any problems, i could always come back for a follow up at anytime.
Dr. Crum only works part-​time here. So he is only in a few days a week. If he isn’t available at the time you want, the staff will schedule you with the Dr. Otsuji, who owns the office. The office is open Monday through Saturdays. With Saturdays being only open till 2pm.
Parking is really limited in front of the office, but there is ample parking at the Walgreens next door so you can park there and take a short walk over!

My husband and I have been going to Dr. Crum for some time, and we are very happy with him and his practice. Everyone is very helpful and fast. Plus we love that they have Saturday hours! We recommend him to all our friends and family.
