History

Established in 2009.

Growing up, I have always had a passion for desserts. Celebrating Life Cakes started by building a production kitchen in the basement of my home in 2009. Some of my current dedicated customers enjoyed their first cakes from here.

As I outgrew my beloved kitchen, I opened our current storefront in 2010. My wonderful team of bakers and decorators love making our clients happy. Our bakers are all pastry chefs with culinary degrees, that pour lots of love and knowledge into their baking. My cake decorators are all artists, and very skilled in crafting spectacular works of art. Our goal with each and every order is for the product to be unforgettably delicious, and absolutely beautiful.

As we grow, we would like to express how much we appreciate our loyal patrons, and how much we enjoy sharing in the special occasions of their life, from weddings, new babies, to 50th anniversaries, and birthdays all along the way. Because that is what we are really about… Celebrating Life!

My first bad experience here and it’s all about the icing.
Not good and the owner really didn’t care.
Icing was so tough I had to use a fillet knife to cut through it.
The cake it’s self was delicious, however you could not cut it with a fork because the icing was like leather.

We were incredibly happy we were with the cake we ordered for my daughter’s 16th birthday from Celebrating Cakes. Not only was it beautiful and exactly the design she had wanted, but it was one of the most delicious cakes I have ever eaten! I have ordered a couple of cakes from you in the past and have always been impressed beyond my highest expectations, and this cake was no exception. Everyone that tasted it could not get over how incredibly delicious it was. I live in South County and there are plenty of bakeries closer to me, but I could not imagine ever ordering a cake from anywhere else. You are simply the best and well worth the drive! Thank you for making another special occasion that much more special!

Hands down THE best cake and buttercream icing I’ve ever tasted! And it’s REAL buttercream :):) We use Celebrating Life Cakes for all of our occasions as every time the creations turn out more beautiful than expected. Honestly I will not go anywhere else!

I went to this cake shop for my first experience in buying a cake for a child’s birthday. I spoke with the owner and asked what was a popular choice for children as there were so many flavors to choose. Not getting much guidance, I decided on a marble cake with chocolate icing thinking it would be an easy home run. What I wasn’t told is that their vanilla cake has a strong almond flavor which came across as a cherry profile in your mouth. With the colored icing not giving a distinctive chocolate flavor and the cake tasting like cherry, the response from the family was underwhelming. They only mentioned the odd taste. I called the owner the next day and her reply was «thanks for giving us the information» without mention of «can I offer you some cupcakes for your disappointment?» or anything of the sort. It’s just too bad some people don’t realize how good customer service can take a business to a whole other level. This was a very expensive mistake I won’t be making again.

I ordered a cake from here for my parents birthday and it was AMAZING. Everybody said it was the best cake they had ever eaten. The decorations were beautiful and the cake itself had the perfect texture and flavor. If you want high quality cakes, I highly recommend this place ! They are now doing my cake for my birthday (June 5) and I know it will be just as good as my parents cake!

I popped in for a treat to take home while I was in the shopping plaza. Having worked in bakeries and made wedding cakes, I always like to see what is out there. We ordered a cake slice with raspberry filling and a chocolate volcano.
The cake slice was yellow cake with a white buttercream. The cake itself was moist bordering on gummy. The frosting was way too sweet and bogged down with butter. Oddly enough, it was grainy as well. I don’t know if they used too much 10x or what. The filling was nice but sparse.
Volcano cake was too sweet to even eat. I had one bite and could barely even choke it down.
Maybe I need to try something else but this was really not for me.

I just had Celebrating Life do the wedding cake and an additional birthday cake for grandfather of the bride (August 9th) and they were amazing. They were exactly what we wanted and they were absolutely delicious. It was the easiest and most fun part of choosing our vendors. Thanks so much, Sue!!! We used Celebrating Life for our daughter’s wedding and groom’s cake! Sue and her staff were very easy to work with and the cake not only looked beautiful but the taste was out of this world! They have so many different flavor combinations! Sue and her staff are very accommodating, organized and efficient! They made a great cake for my son’s birthday. A big top carnival tent cake. Not only did it look great and was exactly what I wanted, it tasted amazing. I had several of my friends & family ask me where I got the cake it was so yummy. They are my go-​to for any kind of special occasion cakes!

I ordered a cake here for a baby shower I was putting on for my sister and it was probably the best cake i have ever eaten! I almost forgot to order cake for the shower (which was the day before mother’s day) I was turned down by 4 bakeries due to high volume. Celebrating Life Cake Boutique was able to accommodate my order and provide outstanding customer service! The cake flavor received great reviews at the shower and everyone was asking me where I got it from. I will definitely be back!

Ordered the St Louis Cardinals cake and was extremely satisfied with the décor of the cake as well as the tastiness. I got the confetti cake which was moist and delicious. Also the frosting was amazing and not too sweet. Will definitely be back for the next special occasion!

Honestly… I didn’t really know how to rate this place.
I love the cakes they have on their site and I’m McArthur’s customer but decided to try something new for my brother’s cake. I live in the city so this was quite the drive and thought the place was super cute. But when I got there I wasn’t greeted right away, guess they were in the back making cakes and when the lady came up front there was no smile or make me feel like I was welcomed and she also didn’t show me the cake nor did she asked me if it was ok. Then after paying I didn’t get no thank you come again or anything. Maybe my expectations were high b/​c I’m used to McArthur’s always greeting me w/​a smile when I walk in, they always open the box for me to inspect it and make sure that I’m happy for something I’m paying good money for and always get the «have a good day and thank you for your business». So right off the bat I wasn’t happy w/​the service I got.
Now to the cake — The cake wasn’t bad but it didn’t wow me nor was it the talk of party where I’m always getting compliments about how good it is or wow that’s so pretty… nope not this cake. Also, if you see the pictures I posted I really don’t agree on this cake costing me $ 43. I may give them a 2nd chance but not any time soon… it’s going to take time for me to forget this experience before I can say «I’m ready to give it a 2nd GO!».

Stopped in and got a chocolate cupcake with cream cheese frosting. OMG yes OMG it was amazing, it was so soft and fresh, the frosting was incredible!!! I’m not a huge sweets person either. The best thing is it isn’t over powering sweet! You can eat one and not feel guilty afterwards. Can’t wait to get a cake from them!!! Will let you know. PS the staff was amazingly helpful and sweet (pun intended :)
