Stumbled upon this place last night before attending a Unilocal event in the area. I really just needed directions because I was lost, but decided to get bagel and beverage since I was in a bagel shop. The store itself is small, but seemingly has all the essentials of a bagel store and more. The store was very neat and the employees were friendly and assisted me in locating my destination. More importantly, they have a good bagel. I opted for a toasted bagel with butter and was pleased with the bagel. Especially since it was around 7ish and I expected a crappy bagel since it was so late in the day. If I am in the area and need a bagel, I will definitely give this place a return visit.

Overall, I like this places! The bagels are nice and fresh. The staff is very friendly and always quick! My only problem is the toasting!!! Leave it a little longer! I like hot bagels! Not cold ones! But I always come back because they are awesome!

Do not order from here. The service is so slow and they are not friendly. It took 2 and a half hours to deliver food after they said it would be 30 –40 minutes.

3 out of the 4 partners of Bagelsmith came together for this venture; hence, it’s basically Bagelsmith. Shout out to the pumpernickel everything and the super baker’s dozen(14 for price of 12)!

A bagel place grows in Brooklyn. And this one is pretty good. There is a lot of local competition but I really think most bagel places have grown really nasty with terrible customer service and not caring if you get what you ordered. So far Have-A-Bagel(clever name guys) is not like this. I walked in on a rainy Sunday to order my staple — 2 fried eggs, bacon, american cheese, red onion, avocado on a toasted egg everything. It is how I judge a bagel place. The service was cheery and they got my order right. The bagel was fresh and well toasted, ingredients were fresh and they didn’t skimp on the eggs and avocado. Price was right at $ 5.50. Coffee is average. I will becoming back here and I suggest you give it a shot too. They are in a great location a block from the JMZ. The store is well laid out but no seating — grab and go only. They seem to offer delivery but I didnt see any menus yet and they aren’t on seamless.
