Our father– son team operates with professionalism, honesty, and reliability. We have worked hard to up hold our quality standards and offer our customers the most up to date and most effective. We have many long term satisfied customers that we have built a personal relationship with over the years, and are always working to build new ones.

Biggins Exterminating Company is an integrated pest management (IPM) Company. I.P.M is a partnership between the homeowner and pest professional which employs tactics that prevent, exclude and suppress pest infestations making it a very effective long term approach to pest management with the least, if any impact to the environment.

I had steven the son at my house today for carpenter ants and he gave a boatload of information I had idea what they could do to a house. He very helpful explained everything he was gonna do and what I can do too. And also asked about other pest problems. I love how it’s a family owned business u don’t have too many more of them around these days. I will absolutely be giving them a call back for any more issues with pests. And will be having them come once a year to spray around the perimeter of my house. I would def recommend this company to anyone having peat issues in and around the house.

This is the second time I’ve had Biggins out to handle a pest problem (first time was for mice and this time was for carpenter ants). They are, hands down, the BEST. They are friendly, on time, professional, they explained everything thoroughly, and — most importantly — they are effective! They always go one step beyond to really make you feel like you’ve gotten a great service! They guarantee their work AND are a family-​owned business– what more could you ask for? Both times they’ve left, I’ve felt completely confident that our problem was addressed. I will continue to call them again and again should I need more exterminating (which, in a 100 year old house, I probably will!).

Had Steve at my house today to spray for carpenter ants he explained everything he planned on doing and explained the process of the bait and perimeter treatment. He took all my concerns into account I showed him all the places I’ve seen ants and he went to work! The ants started feeding on the stuff he put out immediately. Steve is a very personable guy and a pleasure to do business with. Biggins will be my go to for any exterminator services from now on! Trust is everything and these guys are clearly very professional and take extreme care in what they do!

Biggins is the best exterminating company, they are so helpful and kind! They give you great tips to help other pests and how to stop the problem from persisting on your end vs. just laying bait and leaving. They have a conversation with you and arent very expensive either. They have a guarantee on their work too and actually live up to it. They also are super speedy and can be at your home very quickly!
I will never use another exterminating company again! They are the best!!!

Holy cow this guy is awesome! He called back within minutes and talked me through all my pest concerns over the phone. None of my concerns turned out to be dangers. He is a wealth of information and clearly an experienced expert on pests. He gave me great tips and things to look out for but there is no need for him to come out. Class act.

Similar to the previous review by Francine, I had similar positive experience with Steve over the phone. We were having a fly problem within the home and I was seeking a quote for pest control. He was upfront and honest about the services he could provide and the cost. He gave me detailed instructions about how to resolve the problem on my own without using an exterminator to save money. His recommendations were wonderful and his honesty/​integrity even better. Highly recommend this company based on the quality of the management alone.

Steve is a real pro, extremely friendly, knowledgable, and great to work with. He is the type of contractor who will give you the right advice on things you can do yourself even if it means he could otherwise make more money from you. We brought him here to do carpenter ant treatment, and he did internal and external treatment, explaining everything very well and giving lots of great advice along the way.
He was also able to locate the exact spot of their colony, which is not always possible but Steve knows everything about pests so he was able to do it. He’s been in the business for 35 years and when it comes to ants, wasps, etc that type of experience makes a difference.
He could have charged me to spray a paper wasps nest on my garage but he did it for free. He spotted where I have carpenter bees and let me know how I can treat it myself, so another costs savings there too. Just a great experience, and I’ll be absolutely asking him back in the Spring for preventative treatments too.

I didn’t even have Steve Biggins come out to do any work on my house, and I still give him 5 stars. Let me explain. My house had a recent rat problem with rats getting in the basement. I called Steve to ask him to do an estimate. When I explained what was going on, he said, «You don’t need me! Let me tell you what to do instead!» Steve explained that for a rat problem, rats will move on if there is no food source. He advised me to 1. Remove the food source, and 2. Do exclusion. He even referred me to a mason he works with so that he could seal up my stone foundation. His advice prompted me to remove a problematic tree in our yard that was a food source and call the mason to seal the foundation, which I think is much better money spent than paying an exterminator to set traps (which we did ourselves anyway).
What an honest man! Thanks Steve! Your business has my two thumbs up!

Let’s start at the beginning, a natural place to commence. I called Biggins following a week of terror involving mice. It actually wasn’t the mice that were the terror, but rather that cat bringing them to us in bed at 3:00 am, but I digress… the mice had to go.
Steve was extremely pleasant on the phone, walking me through what he’d do and what I could expect. Biggins wasn’t the cheapest option (only by about 50 bucks though) for a one year guarantee, and after a read through of Unilocal,my wife and I decided these were the guys to go with. So far, so good.
Steve showed up exactly on time. And I mean exactly. I was wondering if he was sitting on my stoop waiting till an alarm went off before knocking immediately. Super polite, covered up his shoes right away, and started walking me through what he’d do. Since I was on a conference call at work he got right down to it after the tour and was extremely respectful of the fact that I couldn’t chat.
He finished up about the same time as my call, and actually took the time to walk me through the house to show me the results, and then he even walked me around outside to show me areas that I should pay some attention to to prevent other critters. Here comes the up sell, right? Wrong. His sales pitch amounted to «you can really do all of this yourself and save some money.» I waited for the «but I could do it better» but that never came. He legit showed me trouble areas, told me a few fixes, and that was that. Again, I digress…
With a one year guarantee on the mouse control I’m really confident in the results, but I’ll check back in a few months to confirm. Call a few places, talk to a few people, and I’ll bet you the last call you make is to Biggins to say «yup, we want you.»

I recently purchased a home and called to book a pest inspection. I called on a Wednesday and my house was serviced that same week on Friday. My appointment was between 1:00 — 1:30 and Steve and Tyler arrived within the given time frame. They were so polite. I went over my concerns with them and they went right to work. They inspected my house on the inside and outside. Then after went over a treatment plan with me and treated my home based on their findings. I was super impressed. They made lots of recommendations on what I could do as well for preventative maintenance. Being a homeowner for the first time I found the information super helpful and have already done some of the things they recommended. I look forward to them coming back next year to treat my home.

A wonderful father son business. They have come out for the last two years to spray for carpenter ants. They are wonderfully informative, explain everything and helped search for where the little buggers were coming from. We contacted Biggins because we thought we had an infestation mice, based on an odor in the walls. Steve came out to our home, did a thorough search throughout the 4 levels of the house, didn’t find a trace of any rodents. He was very knowledgeable and kind enough to answer all of our questions to ease any worries and concerns. Luckily we didn’t have any rodents, but Steve could have easily baited the house and charged us for his time and travel, as we really had no idea what we were looking for and had already assumed the worst. Honesty is always the best policy and Steve was very straight with us. A real nice guy and a true professional. Always happy to support local small companies, and Biggins will definitely be my go to for any future problems or referrals.

Timely response from Steve after seeing 2 mice in my home that completely freaked me out. My cat thought she had some great new toys.
Steve did a wonderful job from basement to attic blocking out entry ways for the critters to get in, baiting the whole house with pet proof bait traps and giving me great info to keeping the house mice free. It was a pleasure doing business with him.

I called Biggins Extermination after we ran into a lot of carpenter ant damage when I was demolishing our old deck. My wife and I were also hearing critters in the attic at night, so we knew it was time to hire a professional.
Our appointment was set for 8:30 am, and Brian arrived at 8:30 on the dot, which is always greatly appreciated. He was very professional and took his time explaining exactly what he was doing and was very helpful with tips on what we could do to monitor the situation from our end.
It was a hot and humid day, but Brian had no reservations climbing around our attic, squeezing behind shrubs, and tolerating our two dogs who wanted to be in the middle of everything. As an owner of two large dogs, having a pet-​friendly professional goes a long way.
My wife and I are very pleased with the service we received and will be subscribing to the annual service because we have already noticed a huge decrease in the number of critters around the house.

We called Biggins Extermination after dealing with an extremely troubling carpenter ant infestation in the middle of winter.
Other exterminators dismissed us with a curt,“can’t do much ’til Spring.” And the truth is, Steve admitted he couldn’t do much either.
But what he did do was come out and TRY. He took the time to examine the situation and explain to us in detail WHY it might be happening. He did what he could to help stem the immediate situation, laying bait everywhere he thought there might be an issue, and left us completely confident that come spring he could fix the problem for good.
Bedside manner counts for a tremendous amount. Especially to a nervous homeowner with an active imagination who knows nothing about pests.
