Eclectic, unique, if you’re a poet or looking for a funky experience this will fit the bill. Good points: it’s right on the square and within easy walking distance of all the great restaurants and shops. It seemed like the owner took a lot of care to provide a lot of personal touches and truly appreciated us as her guests. Downsides: the bed was REALLY uncomfortable. If you don’t mind old style thin mattresses on sleeper sofas, it probably won’t bother you, but we has to sleep sideways on the bed to keep from sleeping across the hump. Also, the music from the Cypress Creek Café; apparently they keep their outside speakers playing all night, or maybe they just forgot to turn them off that night but we had a constant low but audible serenade. Didn’t really bother me unless I let it, but I found myself more than once trying to «name that tune» in the middle of the night. Bad really didn’t outweigh the good though and we left Wimberley with the feeling we had had a great weekend. Keep in mind, this is a small room so you’re really not going to hang out and do much besides sleep, shower and change clothes here, but if you’re planning to do all or almost all of your eating in restaurants, you won’t mind. There is a coffee maker, a toaster, a microwave, toaster oven and a small refrigerator, but no oven or cooktop. The third star was awarded for the location. Mi Esposa thought I should add that.
