WinCAM is Winchester’s public access television station giving voice to all the people by serving as the center for community media. Our mission is to promote and facilitate free speech while providing access to established and emerging media.
Programming on WinCAM’s public & education channels, are designed to encourage citizens to participate in the social and political life in Winchester & surrounding communities. A large amount of Wincam’s programming is achieved with the help and support of your friends and neighbors. We provide professional training, equipment and facilities for members of the community to produce media as a means of communication, civic involvement, artistic & cultural expression & community development.

History
Established in 2000.
Winchester Community Access & Media, Inc. is a non-profit, membership-based corporation established in 2000 to manage facilities for community access programming on the Public, Educational, and Government (PEG) access channels of the Comcast (formerly AT&T Broadband) cable system in the Town of Winchester.
The Cable Television license for the Town of Winchester, MA signed with AT&T Broadband on 9÷15÷00 details how Winchester’s access corporation (WinCAM) is responsible for management and operation of the PEG channels. WinCAM receives an annual grant from the cable television system to foster the development of PEG access programming in Winchester.
With studio and office located within the Winchester High School building at 80 Skillings Road, WinCAM provides access to video equipment, training, and channel time to individuals and organizations in Winchester.
Meet the Manager
Steve G.
Manager
Steve Gay, WinCAM’s new Executive Director,
started his television career almost 20 years ago in
Public Access at CCTV in Cambridge,
Massachusetts.
Prior to coming to Winchester Steve worked at the
Comcast Framingham Studio for 8 years and taught
television and video production at CCTV for 11
years.
Steve is a big believer in community television and
public access and is dedicated to training everyone
who has an interest in learning.
