Town Fair Tire

If I could give zero stars, I would… And let me start out by saying that I work with the public, and there is nothing worse than someone calling you just to complain about things that are out of your control, but in this instance, such was not the case. I brought my car in a couple weeks ago because I had picked up a nail and the shop was around the corner. Super convenient. The associates were all very nice and took my car right in and told me that it looked like I needed an alignment and could stand to get a tire rotation, too. I agreed because I had bought the car a year ago and hadn’t had either done since I drove it off the dealership lot… Why not? It was pretty cheap (around $ 90) to fix the flat, rotate my run flats, and do an alignment… I picked it up later on that evening and all appeared to be well. On my way to work the next morning I could hear that tell-​tale sound of a flat tire again, the same tire they had allegedly fixed. I called the shop pretty upset, they told me to bring it in, only after asking if I could put the spare tire on and drive it over? Yeah, let me just get down on the ground in my work pants and stilettos and put the spare on??? I missed half a days work because I spent it at the shop. Manager refunded me the money, which I thought was very nice considering it wasn’t the alignment that was the problem, it was the flat. After a couple hours they sent me on my way telling me that I had «picked up another nail on my way home». Really? Sure. Let’s go with that, I thought. I didn’t want to make a big stink about it because as I said, I work with the public and I sometimes make mistakes, so why act like a psycho. They made it right, I was fine with it. But ever since I had my alignment done there, my car was driving differently. I figured I had to get used to it because I had an alignment and rotation done — that was how my car was supposed to drive now? Fast forward to a couple days ago when I took a right hand turn and my tires felt like they were going to fall off. I knew something weird was going on, so I drove it home after work and didn’t drive it all weekend. When I drove it the last time it was even worse — I took it to the BMW dealership this time, expecting some crazy explanation regarding my alignment or axle — I was surprised when he called me only 5 minutes later furious and said «All I have to say is I don’t know how you made it from your house all the way here without killing yourself or someone else. There is no excuse for this…» Apparently my lug nuts weren’t tightened and my rear tire was «hairs» away from coming off completely! He told me that it appears that they were tightened by hand and not properly torqued. I was so mad and upset, my mom insisted I call TFT and tell them what happened, I didn’t want to get into it with them so she decided to do it — naturally upset that someone would be careless to the point of putting her daughter’s life in danger.
However, when she spoke to the manager he was insistent that they «double torque» everything and that there was no way I would have been able to drive on it for 2 weeks without the tire falling off — Insinuating that this was somehow not their fault. Blatantly telling my mother that the BMW dealership was wrong and that we were wrong… I’m sorry? I’m pretty sure that since they only deal with that make of car they would know what they are talking about? I mean, c’mon? He said that he refunded me for the work based on the inconvenience, but it’s not even about the money… I could have been severely injured/​killed or severely injured/​killed someone else. My life could have changed forever because someone at TFT was careless. If I gave them the benefit of the doubt and thought «Okay, maybe they did super duper torque it», the bottom line is it wasn’t done correctly, and instead of admitting that, we were made to feel like this was somehow my fault and that my mechanic has no clue what he is talking about even though he has done nothing but work on BMW’s for over 15 years… But you’re right, pal… It’s everyone else’s responsibility except your staff. I have never been so disappointed. I understand that things happen, and it’s easy to make a mistake, but I was promised one type of service, and I received something completely different. I will never recommend this company, never mind the location, to anyone.

I scheduled an appointment to get 2 new tires. Appointments are just an attempt to smooth the work flow. They do not keep a bay open for you. Got the tires installed and they want me to come back after 25 miles and 500 miles to check the torque on the lug nuts. Hun? I have nothing better to do with my time. They cannot perform their work properly the first time and want to put the burden on me? I expect that this requirement will give them an out if anything goes wrong. There are many other vendors of tires who are more reputable.

I went thinking my tire needed to be replaced and left learning it was simply corrosion of the wheel well. I asked if I needed my tire replaced and they ran a test, which found the tire to be fine. They cleaned out the corrosion for me and I left happy knowing I did not need a new tire. They were honest and quick. Great customer service. Recommend to go here for any tire problem!

The worst tire place ever. The bigest rip off. Thay brake you TPM. and sell you one thats no compatible to your car. Happened to both my
costes 150 for a TPS from the dealler. Then your stuck with the TPS monitor thats does not work. Thay have no clue, you need one from the dealer

Purchased (4) $ 200.00 tires plus the Road Hazard warranty over a year ago. Front tire has been leaking ever since. Took the car back the 1^st time and they found a nail in it — and, of course, nails are not covered by the Road Hazard insurance and Town Fair does not plug tires. Had to have it fixed elsewhere. Tire still leaks. Took it back to Town Fair AND they found a nail in it again? I’m scratching my head. I’ve never had a problem with nails in tires before. I don’t work on a construction site. I think there’s a nail fairy lurking in the bays of Town Fair tire in Woburn. Again, I have to take the tire elsewhere to have it repaired. Big waste of time and money. Did I mention that they charged me to look at the tire?

Scheduled an appointment to swap tires.
After two hours waiting the car was not even moved from it’s original lcation.
No respect for appointment schedule, beware, you might spend hours here waiting even with a scheduled appointment.

Took in our SUV… Mark helped me out and the car was ready just under the estimated wait time… and BTW… I had no appointment… professional all the way… I will definitely return

I gave them 1 star because they broke an inner bearing on one of my tires (which is not dangerous to drive with but very loud and extremely expensive to fix) and they were not honest about it. I had to call them out on it and they said they would fix it but never did. They said it «rusted off» but the car barely had 30,000 miles on it and when I got it taken to the dealership they said it had likely been damaged by them.
They were also pretty rude to me when I came back for the «mandatory» checkup a few weeks after installing the tires, I was waiting outside and they did not bother to let me know that I was all set, had me waiting over an hour before I got upset and asked what was going on. They said they had called my name earlier but didn’t bother to check the bench outside when I told them that’s where I would be. They were extremely rude about it and clearly very lazy.
Also, throughout the buying process they were constantly trying to talk me out of the tires that I wanted to buy and they were pressuring way too hard to buy their extra protection plan which seemed like a scandal. There were too many cheesy sales tactics going on.

If possible, i would give it a zero. Broke my brakes, denied it and did not resolve my issue. manager said how could he know the issue wasnt there before and i was blaming them. basically out more money since taking my car there for work. supposedly am eligible for free tire rotations, fairly sure i will end up with more car damage if i go back.

Pretty terrible service, I warn you! I’m greeted with a bare minimum of courtesy, and immediately feel like I’m going to be forced into getting new tires. I just want a torque check! I just had a tire replaced and the rest looked at.
The person who had mumbled his greeting left me to a colleague who was clearly harried and overworked, and I was also frustrated by then. In the end, it took about 25 minutes (versus the 5 I’m used to at the TFT locations near me), but it got done, and the guy eventually got a bit more courteous.

Yup back again. Different car. I came back. That says a lot= Good prices and service– AGAIN

Had four new tires put on last week and I worked with Tyler at the Woburn location. Very knowledgeable and seemed to understand exactly what I was looking for. After installing the 4 tires and a new sensor the low pressure light was still coming on and he spent quite a bit of time trying to clear it. He told me that everything seemed to check out and to drive it a little ways to see if it cleared and if not, to come back and they’d take care of it. The dash indicator did clear as predicted and everything is running great. Very impressed with his customer service.

was waited on by a gentleman named James. was very helpful picking out the tires and showed me a few explained them and what was included. there was an issue with my valve and James was able to find a new one and replace it for me without any issues. really appreciated it

Very good experience here. Popped a tire beyond repair and came in early the next day to get it replaced. They didn’t have it stock so ordered it for the next day. Made an 8:00AM appointment the day after and was outta there by 8:30AM. Everyone I interacted with were great and the waiting area was comfortable. 4 stars, not 5, for the coffee pot being empty first thing in the morning — I was kinda counting on that thing being full. Anyway, great job!

I am giving it one review because the tires were fine. Later found out that this company pushes like crazy the TOYO brand… for quality they are great… pricewise…not so sure. My experience was over a year ago… and the new Town Faire in Falmouth that just opened. opened up some old wounds because I was telling people there… do not go to that company. I had the «free» tire rotation almost a year after purchasing them. When I went in I gave an associate my CAR keys so they could bring it around the back and do the work. About an hour later when they were finished, I got the car keys back and the key that unlocks my rims. Later that day when I went to put the key back in the case… the case was not there. I went back the next day and told them… they searched all over and could not find it… Then they questioned whether there was a box at all. I explained what it looked like and one of the associates knew what I was talking about as some cars have a little kit with lug nuts, gloves etc. The associate I gave the car keys to said that I gave him the lug nut key when I gave him the car keys… I did not… He then stated after I gave him the «keys» he stated to me that I was on top of things. That is not true. I handed him the keys and maybe the only thing I said was «here» to him… He MAY have said «thanks».That is it… Long story short… The box was missing. and when they claimed that there was no box at one point… I stated that they gave me back the lug not key… which was in the box… silence…I told them to replace it and we would be good… they gave me a set of lug nuts w/key…not the kit that I had. I said that is not what I «lost». I want the whole factory kit. They asked what they could do to make it right. I finally said I will accept $ 500 in $ or a credit for more tires… Management offered me $ 50. I refused… They said for me to find another kit and they would pay… I could not find one and now their problem to find it was my responsibility… Then they just blew me off… I contacted the highest person (according to the manager) in Connecticut for TF… and he was worse. He offered me $ 150…take it or leave it… I left it…
I am reminded of words of a very wealthy local resident who said that it is much cheaper to go first class… in the end… .Now I get it… it ended costing me $$$ all around…

Not a honest business place… I wanted to purchase the original tires I have. The staff was trying to sell me something cheaper and helped me to «save money», turns out the tires he recommended cost double of what it is on
, almost $ 400 different! I’m glad I left and wanted to do more research before making the commitment, will not go back to this place!

This review is being amended for the follow up customer service provided by Mark who called me the next day to apologize profusely for the hold up and lack of communication, which I greatly admire. He stressed his importance of communicating with the customer and refunded my alignment job which was also very appreciated. I respect anyone and any business who can admit when they were wrong and rectify a situation and will be back when I need new tires before winter! Thanks!!!
I dropped my car off for a patch on a tire and an alignment at 10:54am on a Friday morning, it is now 2:35pm and the car was just «put up» for the alignment-​absolutely ridiculous. I have had to ask for time updates etc about the car, no one seemed to know what was taking so long but said the patch took awhile, the alignment should be shorter, be prepared to spend your whole day here if you come for the cheap prices.

I recently went in for 4 wheel balance and alignment since the dealer where I bought the car could not seem to get it right. They finished the work while I waited (1 hour 15 minutes) and I got right on the highway. Their work was great, no more steering wheel shake and the alignment was perfect.

I recently bought a set of tires at Town Fair Tires in Woburn. I was in a rush and did not completely review the information about warranty coverage.
Within 900 miles I drove over a nail that damaged one tire beyond repair.
When I brought the tire back I was told that I did not opt for the tire coverage package-​I explained that I purchased quickly and did not review the warranty and had thought it was included.
Mark the manager worked with me to fix my problem and cover my needs. He worked with his team and was able to go and get my request approved and delivered.
I cannot say enough about the professionalism for Mark and his team-​they are GREAT!
If I could give 6 stars, I would.
They worked quick and even cleaned my rims for me on the install.

Four months ago I purchased 4 tires @ Town Fair Tire and I was very satisfied with the service, tires and the affordable cost. An alignment was performed as part of the purchase.
Yesterday I returned after having the steering worked on, and they performed another front alignment at no cost. Generous, as they had a 90 day policy for returning after my tire purchase.
While I was looking at my receipt before filing it today, I noticed that I had no hazard coverage for the new tires. I spoke to Mark the store manager who cheerfully agreed to add 36 month coverage at a discounted rete. Again this was offered even though they normally have a short window for customers to return to get hazard coverage. Excellent customer service. Thanks!
