The food is great here. They have the fluffiest rice!

I recently had lunch with my girlfriend here. Cute place. Family oriented. Great service. The food was delicious and I could not believe how inexpensive it was. Definitely a place I plan to visit in the future. Maybe bring the rest of my friends to try this yummy food!!!

My wife and I have lived in the area for a little over 3 years and have been meaning to try this place for awhile. My wife loves a competitor near ventura/Topanga and always wanted to go there instead of giving this place a shot. The boneless chicken kabobs are so flavorful and juicy, and the rice fantastic. The plate even comes with a little side salad which isn’t bad. I am so glad we found this place and I always want to support a local mom and pop business. The owner works hard and always has a smile on his face. We frequent this place now about once a week.

A buddy of mine comes here frequently and digs this place. I came here once so far and found it the food to be good. –Atmosphere, Service, Location & Parking— It’s definitely a small joint with some partial booth seating and tables. There’s not more than seating for 15 with about 5 tables I would think or so. Still it has a homey feel to it and the owner is friendly and nice. It seems like the owner works the place with another person or two, and I’d have to say food came out at a good time. Located off Topanga Cyn and Dumetz Rd close to Ventura Blvd you’ll find this place in a strip mall with businesses around. There’s a decent amount of parking and if none is available the surrounding streets should provide some. During the day I would think parking would be busier than the evening. —Food, Drinks & Price— My party enjoyed all of their food, and even though the individuals I was with are not Middle Eastern, this Persian guy’s taste buds approved of what they had. I don’t remember what they had, but what I had was the Chicken Kabob plate which came with rice, salad, and some lavash bread. The dressing on the salad is a lemony honey mustard kind and I’ll admit it’s pretty good. For $ 8.25 it was definitely a good amount of food and it was filling. The chicken was tender, the rice was cooked perfectly, and the salad was good. I think I had bottled water, but they also have sodas, snapple, dough(yogurt based drink, google it), and possibly more. I think the prices are great and very friendly. Will be trying this place again!

If your looking for really good Persian food in the valley this is the best place and the prices are amazing. Get the chicken kabob with albalo polo and the tadigeh with the vegetable stew. Eat here at least twice a week!

I was craving Persian food for lunch and wanted to go to Orchid’s but my husband wanted Bibi Sara. Since he drove, we got Bibi Sara. We have never eaten at the restaurant before so it was neat to sit there and watch tons of people eating and getting take out from this place all within an hour The owner is a genuine person, he is sweet and nice. My husband and I each got the 1 beef koobidieh and 1 chicken koobidieh kabob with rice and salad. I got mine with all rice. It was very good. The meat was flavorful and juicy. The rice was very soggy but it was still tasty. We also got a small yogurt and cucumber appetizer, it’s so good on rice. We will definitely be back again.

Chicken koobideh wrap is off the charts for ~$ 6. Good people running the place too.

Went back again today and ordered something new. On a scale of 1 – 10, the cherry rice and chicken was 125. Amazing and excellent food! I’ll update again when I come back for a third time.

Holy cow, this place absolutely rocks! This is by far my new favorite persian fast casual spot in the valley this year! Their kabobs are stupid delicious and priced perfectly. Don’t let the small humble shop fool you, it’s a gem, and a darn good one too! I must say that when I arrived and sat down I was a bit nervous about what I would be expecting in terms of quality of food, because it was not the best kept of restaurants, but food just floored me. I drove 30 miles from the south bay to check this place out and it was worth every mile. I’d recommend the chicken(boneless breast) and shish kabob plate. It will knock your socks off!

Stopped by last Sunday, trying to escape the heat. The mint yogurt drink was a life saver, cooled me down really quick. We ordered the stew of the day(chicken and walnuts) and kabobs. Left stuffed and happy. Owner is very nice and the food is so good and so reasonably priced. Merci!

I’ve eaten here a bunch of times. The guy who owns the restaurant and runs the kitchen is extremely nice and generous; you really can’t ask for more. I feel good visiting this eatery; you really feel at home :) Food has been, consistently, good. I’ve had the chicken kabab plate, Koobideh and also the falafel plate. For what you pay, it’s good. People, this is NOT a gourmet middle eastern restaurant, so don’t expect waiters etc. However, what you get is decent food, at a good price, made and served by the nicest restaurateur I’ve ever met. Try it for sure.

Second visit last night, and we ordered *everything*: chicken koobideh,(ground chicken kebab), cherry rice, regular chicken kebab, green bean rice, white basmati rice, baba ghanoush(smoked/roasted eggplant purée), hummus, mast-o-musir(yogurt with shallots), lentil soup and fesenjoon(walnut stew with chicken). This was a huge meal for two and we had enough leftovers to have most of it again. All this was under $ 30! Very pleased. This place is a tiny owner-operated dive with zero ambiance, but damn good food at very fair prices. Do not go here expecting ambiance. This place will not impress your date – unless he/she is a foodie who knows good persian food when they find it. We were served everything(by the friendliest guy in town – the owner) on paper plates with plastic cutlery. Food: Kebab and koobideh were very good, but a bit mild – could definitely stand a stronger/longer marinade. Lots of pepper, lemon, and sumac were needed(which is not a problem, as I add these things to these dishes anyway). The chicken was served with a good-sized side salad consisting of lettuce, tomatoes and cucumbers(I ordered the kebab plate and added a skewer of koobideh). The rices were excellent, flavorful, and only $ 3.75/ea! Amazing deal, great rice. Both came with a cinnamon dusting on top(YUM!). I don’t even like cherries and I realy liked this rice! Normal«white» Persian basmati rice was served with the chicken and was very good(saffron rice on top, of course). A few good-sized pieces of tadik were included as well(google this if you don’t know what it is – delicious, and perfect for dipping in fensenjoon or other stews). The fesenjoon was a half-sized sample provided by the owner at no charge(so not included in the above figure), and is normally $ 8 or $ 9, which is a very good price for it. This was a less-sweet fensenjoon than I have had before, and you could really taste the pomegranate(tart). The yogurt used in the mast-o-musir was definitely good, strained persian yogurt(very thick, like Greek yogurt), and the«small» portion was huge(8 oz). The baba ghanoush and hummus(like everything else) were clearly made in-house and were superb; the hummus was possibly the best I have ever had(served with pita, of course). Both were very small(2 oz), and were only $ 1.25/ea. The lentil soup was more of a stew and my girlfriend said it tasted like homemade(translation: good!), and she knows a lot more about Persian food than I do! She said the same of the green bean rice(tomato sauce, green beans, rice, herbs, mild spices) and other dishes. Note: a lot of the food was prepared using less salt than you might expect – which will please people looking to keep their sodium intake in check. One simply adds salt as needed at the table(we added a fair bit of salt to the soup and the green bean rice, for example). Will we be back? ABSOLUTELY. Delicious food, fantastic, personal service at a good price. What would I change? Not much, really: I prefer fesenjoon to be sweeter/richer, not tart like this one(but it was still good, and real plates and cutlery would be nice. Maybe a stronger marinade on the chicken. Honestly though, everything was delicious.

The best value for Persian food! One of the best chicken kabobs in LA. Basic and hole-in-the-wall and best for take out. The place is warm and stuffy. Eat here if you must or take your meal to the beach or nearby park. Topanga State Park is up the road. I bought a plate of chicken kebobs on my way to Malibu driving through Topanga Canyon. The most inexpensive Persian food I’ve had. The chicken was super moist and flavorful. I ordered the chicken with a side of salad and barberry rice. They’re known for the shish kabob which they were out of when I visited. A hidden gem in Woodland Hills!

I needed to eat some quickly before my yoga class(cause if I don’t eat, I can’t perform — literally!) so I was thinking about just grabbing something quickly, then I’m like no… For the same price, I can have something better for me and just better quality. I walked out with a plate full of food for under $ 7.50. It’s such a great value! Flashback, to the first time I was here, maybe a couple weeks ago now, I was really craving some Persian food! I’ve seen this place so many times(since it’s really close by) and seen the good reviews on Unilocal and finally decided that it was time to give this place a chance! This place is the epitome of a hole in the wall. The décor is definitely not much and it’s pretty small but the food is good! That’s definitely what matters here! The service is great! The owner is always so friendly and nice and they’re Persian! I really feel like I’m getting some home cooking here! I always get the koobideh plate — I’m not exactly sure what they call it here — maybe ground beef skewer? But it’s always super moist and very onion-y(which I love) and just so tasty! I think it’s great! And I’ve had tons of Persian food — both homemade and in restaurants! The rice is also fluffy and moist! Really tasty! The only thing that I’m not crazy about is the salad. It’s just a very simple green salad with some cucumbers and tomatoes. I’ve never given it much of a chance! I’m usually just gobbling down the rice and koobideh, but I would like to try their Shirazi salad one day and see how that is! This place is perfect for lunch or a quick dinner! It’s definitely more of a to-go place but the food is excellent and the portions are large and flavorful! I’m quickly becoming a regular and I feel like this is definitely a place to give a chance if you live nearby!
