Greasy food! Chemical garlic flavor made us sick! Old Fish … Toro was OLDANDVERYFISHYTASTING. Rice was not good quality at all. Bean Sprout sunomono was days old. Fish all had a rainbows w grey color. Garlic shrimp roll fell apart, and was greasy oil, not butter with gross garlic that lingered and ruined any hope of a decent meal! Worst Japanese(NOT) Food EVER! Dont bother with Brothers its NOGOOD!

This review is strictly about customer service. I called to place a order for pick-up and was told they don’t do pick up orders only take-out. So I drive to Brothers Sushi to be told they don’t do take-out orders. I told the older lady I just called and was told they do accept take-out orders. She then tells me I must have called Little Brothers sushi. I asked there number and showed her the exact number in my phone. Then she says well I think I spoke with you and I said no take out. So instead of causing a scene(since all the younger workers were just standing around staring) I walk out. Suggestion for management: The customer is never wrong and next time try to fix the problem and at least apologize.

Excellent food and service. The sushi is always fresh and the soups are my favorite.

This review is for one thing and one thing only. I Visit my sister in law in woodland hills about four times a year. Everytime I come, the first thing I do is order take out from Brothers Sushi. Was there over the weekend, and called up Brothers, and asked to make a to-go order. She told me «we are not accepting to-go orders anymore», so naturally I thought its too late in the evening. It was 9:35pm. So I asked, Am I too late, are you guys closing? Simply put, these guys are such ballers, that they have no need to cater to people on the go or for people that do not want to sit in there tiny establishment. They lost my business forever. They probably won’t miss it, but sooner or later if enough people get fed up with this they’ll realize what a mistake they made. There are literally hundreds of sushi restaurants within a 2 mile radius of this one. Time to move on.

The Kerry roll was good. Sashimi was not bad either. The real star of this sushi joint is the sauteed shrimp roll — don’t miss it… order it first so you can use that yummy sauce with the other rolls. The speed and Service was also very good.

Brothers Sushii was always one of my favorites. After about six months of not eating sushi, I went for dinner the other night and was shocked. The pieces of fish on the rice were so small and thin! What are they thinking? They have so obviously changed the portions and at the same time raised the prices. I don’t mind paying the price for good food, but in this case, The quality of the food has gone down and I was ripped off. I did have a few market price items, but as one person I did not eat that much and my bill was $ 90.00!!! After I left, I realized I should have asked for an itemized bill but how dare they not offer that? How dare they overcharge and then put people in the embarrassing position of asking for the itemized bill. Too bad. I used to really love this place but I would never go back! Don’t waste your money here!

Took a friend here for the first time(along with it being my first time as well) and we were both blown away! I love sushi and eat it fairly often, but I’ve never tasted sushi so delicious and fresh! The customer service was great. The inside of the restaurant is pretty small, but we went on a Saturday night and got seated right away. Down side is that it’s very pricey, but it’s definitely worth it in the end. This place is a must if you’re in LA! You won’t be disappointed.

Get the SAUTÉEDSHRIMP, the sauce is amazing, I use it for my other sushi. That is it… I haven’t been here in a year, I don’t remember their rolls being so small tho. I mean it was tiny. Itty bitty teeny weeny. My baby niece could eat it. What are they serving now gourmet sushi? I did order spicy tuna, and I am sad to say that this time, it tasted like it was spoiled. I also got the salmon skin salad and another roll that was good but I wouldn’t order those again. Yup just the sautéed shrimp. That’s all I would come here for. Eat here if you have already eaten and you just got paid because the rolls are smaller but the prices got bigger. We were still hungry. Lol… Room for dessert and coffee I guess.

I have been coming to this location for 10+ years and it has always been consistently fresh and delicious. The only thing preventing this place from getting 5 stars is the price, which is a little high and the service which could be a little better on some nights. Outside of those two the place is fantastic and always worth visiting when you are in the mood for quality sushi.

I’ve heard about this place for years. Only good things… Never had a chance to try it till yesterday. Finally convinced my parents to give it a chance as they don’t like change from their usual spot. First, I have to say EVERYTHING tastes fresh. All the fish melted in my mouth. We ordered a couple of rolls and a sushi platter. The rainbow roll is WAY over priced, $ 18 a little ridiculous no? Everything tasted good, but we walked out with a 120 $ lunch which I personally didn’t think was worth it.(And I respect fresh/good sushi) Nothing special, probably wouldn’t come back. Btw if your a special roll kind of person, this is definitely not the place for you. More of a sushi/sashimi place. 5 stars for freshness. 2 stars for creativity. 4 stars for service.

Brother’s Sushi is arguably the best sushi spot in Los Angeles. Whenever I come home I have to go here at least once and over the years the quality has not changed. This is our family’s go to sushi place and it has never let us down!

First off, I used to love this place. Amazing sushi and amazing customer service, but recently i took a couple of friends in and was treated horribly. First the chef at the bar attempted to refuse us a written checklist. Once I insisted on getting the list and filling it out with 5 rolls and oyster shooters, we were only served 2 rolls and given a bill of $ 80! Then they proceeded to pretend we never ordered 5 and that they’d «lost the checklist». The waitresses finally forked it over and went through every roll with the chef as if we were lying. His response was that he cancelled orders all on his very own. I forced them to cancel the processed bill and give us an appropriate bill(ended up being $ 50!) I will never come here again or bring any friends, service was horrible, and at this point even the sushi isn’t worth it.

I am giving this 5 stars because of how happy my husband and daughter were with every dish they were served, the speed and quality of service was tip top. We were on a «family date» and had reservations for a Friday Night, 8pm. Our table was the corner near the window on Ventura Blvd(a perfect spot to see the Sushi chef team in action). Their sushi bar was packed, the chefs were moving light lightening. The website I went to had things that were not actually offered on the menu. I think I must have gone to the wrong website. Overall this place is a perfect little get away for some high quality food(if you eat sushi). DEFINITELY set a reservation. Parking was in back of place, and it was full when we got there. Ventura Blvd is always crazy so grab a spot out front(beware of posted street signs).

If to rate them by the sushi I would give 1star only .I’m giving an extra star for the service that was good. We tried like 5 different things and we didn’t like even 1 things. that was the 2nd time that we went there which was like a year ago which we also didn’t really like, we gave them another chance but that’s it we done with brother good luck and I really think that you need to get the Quilty of your food if you wanna keep in business

Service is on point. Friendly and attentive. They know the menu well, so if u need suggestions or the latest menu creation, or what’s the sushi chef recommendation, don’t hesitate to ask. Very comfortable open light feeling once you step in. It’s not your typical dark, sticky tables. Place isn’t too big, but fits about 25 or so people. The fish is fresh and top grade quality! You won’t be disappointed. the chef creations are really focusing on the fish itself and well balanced flavors! Eat here! You won’t be disappointed!

Brothers Sushi has pretty good eats, just note that you should be open minded and get what the chef recommends. It is a little pricey, but the service is pretty good and the food is always fresh. Used to come here quite a bit, but then I discovered some other Sushi restaurants so now my sushi time is split between Matsuhisa, King Burger Got Sushi, Nobu & Bonsai. Overall, love this place but now I just come here if there are kids joining since it is the most kid friendly of all the Sushi restaurants I love. Gets a little crowded for dinner time, it’s best to arrive right when they open to avoid waiting. Kid friendly. Ambiance is ok, it’s more of a hole in the wall, super casual. Tips: Parking lot gets full pretty fast, so look for street parking if it’s all taken.

I’ve been here before, sometime in high school probably, but I wasn’t really into sushi back then so I didn’t appreciate it. I came back last night, about 8 years later, and it was AMAZING. We ordered half the restaurant in sushi, sashimi, and appetizers. My personal favorites were the linda roll, the sautéed shrimp roll, the spicy tuna roll, the garlic tuna kobachi, and the Chilean sea bass. As my father in law said: the Chilean sea bass is so good, your brain will melt. That about covers it!

One my favorite sushi bars in LA. Consistently serves the freshest fish prepared with care and dedication. Now that I live far away I don’t get here often but Brothers never disappoints. Lunch is much more relaxed.
